Impact of Job-Related Stress on Educators in Tema West Municipality, Ghana
Job-related stress is a significant issue that affects professionals in various fields, including education. Educators, in particular, often experience high levels of stress due to the demands of their profession. The study investigated the impact of job-related stress on teachers in Adjei Kojo TWMA “2” JHS in Tema West Municipality, Ghana. Descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study. A total of 20 educators were selected using census sampling technique. Questionnaire was used in the collection of data. Data were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics with the help of the Statistical Package for Service Solution (SPSS) software version 22. The study revealed that the respondents often experienced stress in their work. The study also revealed that the top four sources of job-related stress among the respondents were too much workload, lack of resources and materials needed to work effectively and efficiently, too much pressure at work and lack of encouragement from management. The study revealed a statistically insignificant negative correlation between job-related stress and work engagement. It was recommended that school authorities make the work of teachers more flexible by reducing their workload. This would help reduce the level of job-related stress experienced by teachers. School authorities need to foster a positive school culture by promoting open communication, teamwork, and mutual support among staff members. It is further recommended that teachers are encouraged to maintain a healthy work-life balance by setting boundaries between work and personal time
The Kaleidoscope of Thucydides: An Analysis of Thucydides as the First Social Scientist through His History of the Peloponnesian War
In this paper, I reevaluate the portrayal of Thucydides as the first social scientist in the context of international relations, through his work on the monumental History of the Peloponnesian War. I challenge the traditional interpretation of Thucydides\u27 primary goal, questioning the one-sided analysis that limits him to identifying war causes between Athens and Sparta. I also delve into Thucydides\u27 broader objectives, emphasizing the dangers of simplistic labeling and the need for a diverse understanding of his work. Finally, I argue for a critical, open-minded approach to his history, highlighting the potential for multiple interpretations and the importance of considering the context of international relations during Thucydides\u27 time. This approach helps in understanding the History of the Peloponnesian War as more than just a scientific analysis of war, but as a rich text offering various insights into human nature, politics, and society

Improving Performance of Small Wind Turbine by Diffuser Augmented
The idea of using clean energy from unnatural wind resources is presented in this paper. Exhaust fan wind energy can be utilized to generate electrical energy through a small wind turbine. The potential is substantial as exhaust fans are widely used in the industry. The diffuse wind characteristics and medium to low speed of the exhaust fan require optimization to achieve maximum wind energy conversion. One optimization method involves adding a diffuser to enhance the wind turbine\u27s performance by concentrating the wind around the rotor. The performance of the wind turbine and its influence on exhaust fan power consumption are investigated. The diffuser design follows the method developed by Yuji Ohya and Takashi Karasudani, involving a modification to the inlet angle. Simulation results demonstrate that the optimal inlet angle is 15 degrees. The optimal location on the wind turbine is 20 cm from the exhaust fan which produces the highest energy harvest. The addition of diffuser can increase turbine power bay 63.06%
Preparing Learners for the Higher Education Curriculum: Perfecting Argumentative Writing Skills in French as a Foreign Language: An Innovative Teaching Approach with Chatgpt and Interactive In-Class Assessment
This article examines the impact of integrating ChatGPT an advanced artificial intelligence model developed by OpenAI, into the teaching of French as a foreign language (FLE) to first- year baccalaureate students. The main objective of this study is to determine the extent to which ChatGPT can foster the development of linguistic and communicative skills, particularly in the area of argumentation, while addressing the issues of language authenticity, creativity and autonomy in the learning process. Using a mixed-methods approach combining quantitative analysis and qualitative reflection, we explored students’ performance and perceptions following the use of ChatGPT. The results show that ChatGPT helped to significantly improve the argumentative writing skills of almost half of the participants, while highlighting the importance of appropriate pedagogical support in overcoming the challenges of linguistic authenticity and creative engagement for learners. This study highlights the potential of ChatGPT as a complementary tool in the teaching of FLE, while recommending a thoughtful integration of technology to enrich the learning experience without compromising the fundamental principles of language education
Integrating Multiple Lines of Evidence in Ecological Risk Assessment: A Case Study of Crude Oil Pollution in the Mangroves of Bodo Creek, Ogoniland, Nigeria
Crude oil pollution poses a significant threat to environmental integrity, particularly in coastal and marine ecosystems. This study employs a TRIAD approach, integrating multiple lines of evidence, to assess the ecological risks and human health hazards associated with crude oil pollution in Bodo Creek, Ogoniland, Nigeria. The investigation includes chemical analyses of contaminants, ecological evaluations, and risk assessments to determine the extent of environmental degradation following significant oil spills in 2008 and 2009.Chemical analyses revealed widespread contamination, with concentrations of heavy metals and Total Hydrocarbon Content (THC) exceeding regulatory standards at all sampling stations. Simple linear regression showed significantly that THC negatively correlated with species richness (p < 0.05, R² = 0.76). Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAH), specifically benzo-a-pyrene (b-a-P) at all sampled stations exceeded both the Canadian Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and background concentrations in rural Europe. The benthic fauna disturbance using AMBI software analysis of the biotic index indicated reduced species richness and diversity at all stations compared to pre-spill reference stations. The extent of mangrove destruction was severe, with complete loss at station 3 and significant reductions at other stations. The integration of findings in this study from Ecological Line of Evidence (EcoLoE) and Chemical Line of Evidence (ChemLoE) showed that Weight of Evidence (WoE) risk values exceeded 0.5 at all stations, signifying severe ecological damage and direct risks to human health due to strong food web interactions and local activities
Outpatient Management of Neuropathic Pain in Diabetes Mellitus Patients
Diabetic neuropathy is one of the most frequent and severe chronic complications of Diabetes Mellitus (DM) affecting patients’ quality of lif. The disease manifests in pain, decreased mobility, and amputations. Diabetic neuropathy consists of various types affecting the peripheral nervous system whose severity varies from pain to even death outcomes. Diabetic neuropathies can be of several types and the effect varies from mild pain to death due to the damage of the peripheral nerves. The oxidative stress in diabetic neurons through hyperglycemia contributes to the major neuronal damage in the patients. While there are medications for managing the symptoms of diabetic neuropathy, there are no effective treatments for the underlying causes. Moreover, a proper approach to treating neuropathic pain in patients with DM type 2 is necessary to reduce the patient’s suffering and enhance their quality of life. The literature review to be presented in this paper has been designed to discuss the current approaches and recommendations concerning managing neuropathic pain in patients with DM through focusing on pharmacological treatment such as antidepressants, anticonvulsants, and opioid analgesics, non-pharmacological treatment such as aerobic exercise, and the patient education

The Concept of Tolerance and Its Implementation in Overcoming Social Conflict through an Educational Approach Based on Al-Qur’an
Al-Qur\u27an is a reference book for various laws to regulate, organize, and realize a peaceful, serene, and harmonious human life. Meanwhile, in reality, amid society, there are often human frictions that lead to war and bloodshed. The research aim is to examine how al-Qur\u27an views the meaning of tolerance education based on the study of verses and its implementation in overcoming social conflict. This research paradigm is descriptive-qualitative, classified as a type of library research based on the text verses of al-Qur\u27an related to tolerance education. The critical analysis uses the thematic method, which collects the same lyrics, groups them under one topic, arranges them based on the chronology of the descent of the verses, and analyzes and concludes according to al-Quranic\u27s interpretation procedure on tolerance education. The results prove the importance of understanding the values of tolerance education in building equality, harmony, and equal rights among fellow humans. Al-Qur\u27an offers the concept of tolerance education in the form of the worth of freedom, justice, respect, and guarantee of individual and social rights that are free, independent, and moderate.
