    Овај рад приказује интердисциплинарни оквир динамичких промена у контексту архитектонског стваралаштва, трансформацијe материјалности просторног искуства и новe потенцијалe архитектуре. Циљ истраживања је успостављање интердисциплинар- не теоријске платформе за разумевање савремених урбаних феномена кроз однос архи- тектуре и њених граничних поља – филозофије, естетике, културе и уметности. Рад истражује измештање архитектонског објекта из домена материјалних вредности у домен динамичких ефеката. Феномен флуидности је, у раду, основни концепт, заснован на константној променљивости услова градског живота и истражује се кроз питање сингуларности архитектонског објекта у изазовима асимилације са контекстом. Истраживање мапира и анализира кључне позиције које су утицале на трансформације визуелне културе и материјалних основа свакодневнице модерности.The main idea of this research is to present the interdisciplinary framework of dynamic changes in the context of architecture, which transform material bases of spatial experience and open up new potentials for understanding and creation of architecture. Accordingly, the research aims to establish an interdisciplinary theoretical platform for understanding modern urban and cultural phenomena through parallels between architecture and its boundary fields - studies of culture, art, philosophy and aesthetics. In the context of global networking and mass consumption, the dematerialization of the aesthetic object and the affirmation of the aesthetic experience of space transforms an architectural object from the domain of material values to the dynamic effects that transmit a certain idea or message. The phenomenon of fluidity is the main concept, which in this paper defines the constant variability of the conditions of the urban and cultural context, which is exhibited through the dynamism, fragmentation and dematerialization of spatial experiences, characters and elements. The paper explores the issue of the singularity of the architectural object through the challenges of assimilation with the context of networking, pluralism, globalization, exchange, transgression and multiculturalism. This research is methodologically based on mapping of the positions that affected the transformations of visual culture and material bases of the everyday, urban experience of modernity. The research is based on deductive methods of analysis and synthesis of qualitative parameters that are found in the comparative reading of the conceptual aspects and dynamic meanings in the border fields of architecture

    Residential buildings energy performance optimisation - façade openings and shading devices

    This paper presents a methodological approach to optimization of facade openings and shading devices on residential buildings in the city of Belgrade, Serbia, from the aspect of building’s energy performance. The research is carried out using digital simulation tools, simulating a selected type of residential building, varying the conditions of the urban environment in which the building is located, the size and geometry of facade openings, as well as the types of sun shading elements, taking into account the functional, financial and social aspect of their application on residential buildings in Belgrade. The dimensions and types of openings and shading devices are evaluated based on the simulation results, taking into account differences in individual apartment’s energy needs based on orientation and the position in the building. The analysis of the obtained data and their mutual synthesis leads to recommendations for the design of residential buildings of the observed type for the climate conditions of Belgrade

    Јавна уметност и јавни простор и јавни град

    Овај рад се бави релацијама које се у савременим градовима, у савременом урбаном животу, успостављају између две велике и важне друштвене праксе: уметности и урбанизма. Иако би на први поглед могло изгледати да ове две праксе природно сарађују, то ипак није тако. Постоје многе отежавајуће околности које доводе до тога да ове две праксе отежано сарађују, те да се реализују потпуно независно и одвојено, као што то и јесте у њиховој природи. Међутим, у случајевима када се та сарадња оствари, често долази до значајних унапређења, како у естетској и семантичкој слици града, тако и у јавној друштвеној сфери. Ако јавна уметност омогућује да се град остварује и перцепира као уметничко ремек-дело l'oeuvre, она мора бити партиципативна у најширем могућем смислу. Партиципација и колаборација морају бити активне, са омогућеним најширим спектром стејкхолдера у свим фазама реализације јавне уметности: планирање, дизајн, имплементација и одржавање. У циљу постизања одрживије праксе креирања места (place-making), ексклузивна позиција уметника бива употпуњена грађанским „правом на град“ – које се остварује као право на учешће у креирању јавних простора који генеришу значење и поштовање урбаног окружења. Уочено је да уметност, да би била истински јавна уметност и имала јак утицај на јавну сферу, мора обухватати јавност, бити прихваћена од стране јавности, а заједничко културно искуство мора бити препознатљиво. У том погледу, учешће јавности се показује као нужност за производњу партиципативне уметности у којој је публика директно укључена у креативни процес, са могућношћу учешћа као посматрач, ко-едитор и/или чак као ко-аутор процеса. Тако, начин на који је јавна уметност перципирана, креирана и изведена рефлектује локалне ставове друштвеног и културног развоја, који може имати утицај на доприносе пракси креирања места.Стручно-научни скуп „ Архитектонско-урбанистички форум.     Reimagining Materiality: Circularity Potential of 3D Printed Architectural Elements with Recycled Clay

    This paper explores the application of 3D printing with recycled clay for architectural building elements, emphasizing its potential to contribute to a circular economy. The AEC industry has traditionally been associated with high material waste and environmental impact. However, the advent of 3D printing has revolutionized architectural design and manufacturing processes. Using recycled clay as a printing material, can address two challenges: reducing waste and promoting sustainability. Recycled clay, obtained from construction and demolition waste or other sources, offers advantages such as abundance, low cost, and a low environmental footprint, making it suitable for circular economy practices. Moreover, using recycled clay in 3D printing enables architects to create complex, customizable, and structurally efficient building elements, reducing the need for labor-intensive, resource-consuming traditional manufacturing techniques. The principles of the circular economy involve diverting collecting, processing, and transforming clay waste into printable material. Resource extraction and energy-intensive manufacturing processes associated with conventional building materials could be reduced by reusing and recycling clay. The paper examines case studies and ongoing research efforts in the field of 3D printing with recycled clay, demonstrating the potential of this approach to contribute to a circular economy in the AEC industry. This approach reduces waste, preserves natural resources, reduces carbon footprint, improves energy efficiency, and creates sustainable and aesthetically pleasing architectural structures. In conclusion, integrating 3D printing technologies with recycled clay presents a promising way towards creating a sustainable closed-loop circular economy system in architecture. By reimagining the construction process, designers and builders can contribute to an environmentally friendly and resource-efficient future while pushing the boundaries of architectural innovation

    Strategic Urban Design for the Just City [predavanje po pozivu štampano u celini]

    Planning professionals are becoming increasingly vocal in calling for the development of cities and urban environments distinguished by fairness, equity, and social justice for all. Complex challenges and growing inequality in urban areas, compounded by issues of resilience and energy dependence, emphasise the need to ensure equal opportunities, access to resources, and quality of life for all residents, regardless of their social and economic status, race, gender, or other characteristics. It is therefore clear that the impact and longevity of interventions by architects require a cross-cutting approach and a structured process whereby a balance must be struck between space and form, on the one hand, and social, environmental, and economic issues, on the other. As such, planners’ responses must seek to integrate knowledge from strategic thinking on equitable development, spatial planning, and urban design. Strategic urban design has been applied continuously for the past 18 years as an approach to shaping space in the Urban Design Studio offered as part of undergraduate architecture studies at the University of Belgrade. This method was developed over the years through the various formats of the Studio in co-operation with many members of the Urbanism Department, student demonstrators, and visiting academics and professionals. The results of work done in the Studio were collected and presented in numerous publications and national and international exhibitions. In addition to using this particular methodology, the Studio approach was oriented towards themes and issues relevant to the local community and sought to find modes of improving local quality of life. It was rooted in an understanding of urban design as an activity of especial importance for the quality and way of life in cities and effecting positive change in society. The method emphasised the creative role of design, combining it with a more socially conscious and politically responsible approach to develop effective techniques for facing complex urban issues.     Reactions on the New European Bauhaus Design Curricula: Project Oriented Approach at the Master Course Sustainable City

    Design education in architecture and its allied disciplines represents one of the cornerstones for design professionals, contributing to the sustainable future of the built environment. However, despite the dedication of educators, the changing focus in design pedagogy is still not fully embraced in the university setting. Recent concerns about outmoded and static approaches in the higher education have, therefore, triggered some new insights casing the updating, upgrading and improvement of programs. Consequently, critical thinking and inquiry, creativity and innovation, research and investigation, collaboration and civic engagement, supported by technical competences, have become increasingly valued in the contemporary design pedagogy.Following this trend, one of the master courses at the University of Belgrade -Faculty of Architecture, entitled Sustainable City, has been structured around the project oriented approach. The curriculum supports student` work, with the final test in theform of a Civil Initiative Project Proposal which responds to various ongoing competitions and calls. The process is finalised through a Civil Initiative Project Proposal data set, established on the Teams platform, providing the possibility of an active involvement into practice, while solving the various problems of local communities

    In its jubilee year of 215 years, the University of Belgrade and the Faculty of Architecture as its constituent member had an opportunity to host the 30th International Seminar on Urban Form Conference (ISUF2023). This year’s conference titled Praxis of Urban Morphology presented a great opportunity to discuss the process by which this discipline is enacted, embodied, and realized. The ISUF 2023 organization committee’s endeavor was to build on the previous experience and ideas, and to direct activities toward systematization and synthesis at an international level, aiming to embody these ideas into operational knowledge. The conference was developed in a manner to provide a framework for reflecting on ISUF community intellectual knowledge coming both from the practical and scientific arenas. The very conference included total of 227 presentations with 580 authors (220 present on site), with representation of participants from 43 countries. The conference was developed in 4 tracks: A. Good in Planning, Landscapes and Townscapes, B. Culture Space, Common Space and Personalities, C. History of Ideas and Challenges and D. Programming and Rethinking Concepts.     Privremene intervencije na gradskim trgovima u zimskom periodu i toplotni komfor – Trg u Kragujevcu

    U radu su prikazani rezultati analize ankete posetilaca jednog gradskog trga i mikroklimatskih parametara prikupljenih na terenu tokom dva vremenska perioda u ukupnom trajanju od 15 dana, pre i posle postavljanja privremene intervencije u javnom prostoru u zimskom periodu. Izvršeno je anketiranje 210 korisnika radi ispitivanja subjektivnih stavova, ocena o ličnom toplotnom komforu u otvorenom javnom prostoru pre i posle postavljanja montažnog objekta namenjenog rekreaciji svih starosnih grupa: javnog klizališta sa opremom za korišćenje. Cilj rada je analiza efekata klimatski senzitivnog urbanog dizajna kroz proveru povezanosti pojedinačnih mikroklimatskih parametara (temperature vazduha, brzine vetra, relativne vlažnosti vazduha, vazdušnog pritiska, temperature crnog globus termometra), aktivnosti metabolizma i odevenosti ispitanika. U radu je izvršena provera subjektivne ocene toplotnog komfora i skale toplotnog komfora za PET indeks nakon postavljanja javnog klizališta u otvorenom javnom prostoru. Prikazani su identifikovani subjektivni faktori zagrevanja i hlađenja na trgu, kao i moguća dalja usmeravanja istraživanja u cilju formulisanja odgovarajućeg modela toplotno senzitivnog urbanog (re)dizajna gradskih trgova

    Assessment of the quality of housing stock in Belgrade according to energy consumption [predavanje po pozivu štampano u celini]

    Assessing the housing quality of existing residential buildings is always a topical issue for research, because the built housing stock is a constantly growing resource whose structure, quality of construction, and compliance with modern housing requirements, largely define housing comfort. On the other hand, modern society recognizes that energy savings are a prerequisite for responsible behavior towards future generations, which, given the dominant consumption in the field of housing, puts the focus on the residential buildings stock. Given the fact that numerous buildings that make up the housing stock of Belgrade were built at a time when there were no regulations on thermal insulation and in most cases no energy improvements were made, we can talk about a significant resource that "wastes" energy whose renovation can lead to significant energy savings. The paper will analyze model buildings, which by their structural characteristics represent characteristic periods of construction of residential buildings, and based on the obtained data, conclusions will be made about the quality of the housing stock from the point of view of energy consumption
