Proces je zasnovan na progresivnoj multiplikaciji vizuelnih fragmenata objedinjenih u ahromatsku sliku, kojom se simulira pulsirajuće kretanje kroz prostor. Istovremeno, ovim se ukazuje na slojevitost i višeznačnost spoznaje i promišljanja arhitektonskog prostora. Lifespan and Quality of Multi-Family Residential Buildings in Serbia: Criteria for Valuation [abstract]
No full textThe assessment of the lifespan of a residential building is a complex and multi-criteria process
that can be observed through three different categories: physical, functional and economic
lifespan. The lifespan of a building lasts as long as the conditions of its physical integrity, functional
usefulness, and economic viability are met. Various factors influence the lifespan of a building,
ranging from the design process, through the construction process, to the maintenance process
of the building. Factors influencing the lifespan of a building are multiple and can be divided into
factors arising from legal regulations, environmental influences, and factors arising from human
actions. The topic of this paper is the assessment of the condition of Serbia’s multi-family
residential stock from the perspective of building lifespan and the assessment of the quality
of this stock of buildings. Serbia’s multi-family residential stock consists of a set of different
buildings in terms of construction period, size, applied construction assembly, embedded
materials and systems, spatial organization concept, location conditions, maintenance methods,
and similar. In order to understand the characteristics of this complex set, it is necessary to form
building types that combine the characteristics of certain building periods and are structured
according to parameters evaluated during the life cycle assessment. The paper presents and
analyses three basic types of multi-family residential buildings with several subtypes, which
represent the overall multi-family residential stock. Based on the adopted criteria, a valuation
of the multi-family residential stock in Serbia has been carried out, indicating possible directions
for its renovation

No full textAs the largest man-made artefact, the city has a profound impact on consciousness. We start from the premise that public space serves as a stage within the urban arena where conflicts between different interests and cultures unfold. What transforms the arena into a stage for urban culture are self-aware and liberated individuals who form the backbone of urbanity. This paper aims to show how street art festivals transform the city into a stage. The first part introduces the city as a stage and examines the role of festivals in cultural revitalization. The second part discusses the importance of street art for the city. The third part focuses on a case study of the Runaway International Street Art Festival. Finally, the significance and meaning of public space as a site of socially engaged art is considered from the perspective of both the artists and the local population
The Improvement of the New Office Buildings’ Adaptability: General Recommendations
Get PDFSince buildings’ adaptations are becoming an important part of architectural and urban practice, the criteria which can contribute to the buildings’ adaptation potential are analyzed in this paper. To make the adaptation process more successful, the multi-criteria models for evaluation of the potential of certain buildings for one or more types of adaptation are in use. In this paper, the criteria of five multicriteria models intended for the evaluation of the adaptation potential of vacant office buildings are considered. It is noticed that there are many office buildings with low adaptation potential. Some of the criteria that make buildings less suitable for adaptation could not be changed beforehand, but a certain number of them could be influenced in advance.
The criteria related to the development of the buildings’ environment and infrastructure, or current market conditions cannot be determined in advance and will be the subject of consideration when starting the adaptation process. However, the building’s potential for adaptation can be influenced to a large extent through design (e.g., avoiding tight-fitting building for one use only), during the construction of the building (e.g. high quality of the materials used), and during the exploitation (e.g. high maintenance level).
This paper aims to present general recommendations for the improvement of the adaptability level of newly built office buildings to facilitate possible adaptation processes in the future and make a wider number of possible new uses for buildings, which results in extending the building’s useful life

Get PDFD+ Атлас: Атлас скривених урбаних вредности дуж Дунава један је од главних доприноса DANUrB+ пројекта INTERREG подунавског ЕУ програма сарадње. Тим са Архитектонског факултета у Београду учествовао је као пројектни партнер у већини активности пројекта DANUrB+, чији је заслужан за концепцију и уређење овог атласа подунавских градова. Атлас се израђује у два формата – штампаном и дигиталном. У раду на изради атласа, поред тима из Београда као руководиоца, учествовала је већина партнера на пројекту, посебно тимови са других архитектонских факултета из дунавског региона: Будимпеште, Букурешта, Темишвара, Братиславе, Осијек и Софија. D+ Атлас је урбани атлас са циљем да из нове перспективе открије скривене вредности малих и средњих дунавских градова. Пре свега, формат атласа је иновативан у оквирима „Дунава“, где многи његови делови и насеља још увек нису добро мапирани и сагледани ван националног нивоа. Друго, програм атласа је да кроз мапе, али и кратке текстове, слике, шеме, табеле и дијаграме о посебностима подунавских градова и њиховом јединственом урбаном карактеру обухвати и промовише богате, иако обично скривене урбане вредности подунавских градова. наслеђе. На овај начин се заједничка градска баштина, традиција и достигнућа Дунавског региона препознају и промовишу као опште добро. Овакав приступ у концепцији атласа и презентацији његовог садржаја значи да Д+ Атлас циља на широк спектар могућих „читалаца“ широм Дунавског региона и шире. Званична промоција атласа била је на завршној конференцији DANUrB+ пројекта у Будимпешти децембра 2022. године, у присуству представника Европске уније. Други важан резултат пројекта је дигитална верзија атласа, коју можете истражити преко званичне веб странице DANUrB заједнице > www.danurb.eu.D+ Atlas: Atlas of Hidden Urban Values along the Danube is one of the main contributions of the DANUrB+ project, part of the EU's INTERREG Danube Transnational Programme. The team from the Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade participated as a project partner in most of the DANUrB+ project activities and was responsible for the conception and organization of this atlas of Danube cities. The atlas was created in two formats – printed and digital. In addition to the team from Belgrade as the lead, most of the project partners participated in the preparation of the atlas, particularly the teams from other Faculties of Architecture along the Danube: Budapest, Bucharest, Timișoara, Bratislava, Osijek, and Sofia.
The D+ Atlas is an urban atlas aimed at discovering the hidden values of small and medium-sized Danube cities from a new perspective. Firstly, the atlas format is innovative within the "Danube" framework, where many of its parts and settlements are still not well-mapped and viewed beyond the national level. Secondly, the atlas program is designed to encompass and promote the rich, though usually hidden, urban values of Danube cities through maps, but also short texts, images, schemes, tables, and diagrams about the specificities of Danube cities and their unique urban heritage. In this way, the common urban heritage, traditions, and achievements of the Danube region are recognized and promoted as a common good. This approach in the conception of the atlas and the presentation of its content means that the D+ Atlas aims at a wide range of potential "readers" across the Danube region and beyond.
The official promotion of the atlas took place at the final conference of the DANUrB+ project in Budapest in December 2022, in the presence of European Union representatives. Another important outcome of the project is the digital version of the atlas, which can be explored through the official DANUrB community website > www.danurb.eu.Излагање D+ Атласа на 46. naučnoistraživačkog projekta pod nazivom EPICA - O Osnaživanje participacije
u kulturi i arhitekturi: aktiviranje javnih resursa za i sa zajednicom
koji je sproveo tim istraživačica i istraživača iz pet naučnoistraživačkih organizacija:
Fakulteta dramskih umetnosti (Univerzitet umetnosti u Beogradu),
Arhitektonskog fakulteta (Univerzitet u Beogradu), Fakulteta za sport
i psihologiju (Univerzitet „Educons“ u Novom Sadu), Instituta ekonomskih
nauka (Beograd) i Fakulteta likovnih umetnosti (Univerzitet umetnosti u
Beogradu). Projekat EPICA je trajao od januara 2021. godine do decembra
2024. godine i finansirao ga je Fond za nauku Republike Srbije u okviru
programa „Ideje“.
Cilj priručnika je da Vas bliže upozna sa odabranim participativnim
praksama na lokalnom nivou, odnosno elementima od značaja za lokalne
zajednice u procesima odbrane i aktiviranja javnih resursa u neposrednom
okruženju. Specifičnost priručnika čini multidisciplinarna perspektiva na
participativne prakse iz domena nasleđa, urbanog planiranja, arhitekture,
savremene umetnosti, upravljanja i ekonomije. Uvidi su sticani tokom rada
na više raznovrsnih projektnih aktivnosti: (a) mapiranje participativnih
praksi u domenu kulture i arhitekture u poslednje dve decenije u Srbiji,

Urban Transformations and Planning Strategies for Development of Large Housing Estates in the Post-Socialist Context: The Experience of The Baltic Countries
Get PDFThe fall of socialism and radical political changes in the 1990s established a new social, economic and cultural environment which shaped a new urban reality of the post-socialist city. One of them relates to inherited large housing estates (LHEs), one of the most striking spatial legacies of socialism whose future is considered as one of the key challenges in the urban development of the post-socialist city. National and local government’s responses to LHEs development can be recognized through different strategies and planning approaches. The paper discusses those that are characteristic of the Baltic countries - Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Their experience of adapting the strategies and urban policies to the EU development and planning context may be of importance for the institutional and planning environment in Serbia. Besides the conceptualization of the post-socialist urban and housing policy and their influence on the transformation of LHEs in the Baltic countries, the paper is organized around two key research aims: 1) to investigate the types and intensity of physical-functional transformation of LHEs in the Baltic largest cities through up-to-date research of current challenges and future prospects of LHEs; and 2) to investigate national and local governments response to LHEs development in the post-socialist context, i.e. to identify a major planning strategies. The research findings suggest that building- and place-based urban regeneration, rather than downsizing or even demolition of LHEs, is the sustainable strategies for their future development. Although a comprehensive regeneration strategy is seen as sustainable solution for Baltic countries context, there are still many challenges for its implementation. Possibilities and limitations for its application in the Baltic cities are reviewed in order to identify opportunities and obstacles for implementing a comprehensive regeneration strategy in the context of Serbia, for which it is a novelty
