Würth Srbija trening i test centar [42. Salon arhitekture, 2020] [pohvala]
Higijena arhitektonskog izraza i materijalizacija intervencije odlikuju visoku zrelost autora". (M. M.
Anachronies (Unbuilt): Townhouse Reconstruction [STRAND 2020]
The single-family traditional, interwar period townhouse of a basic type (of a simple linear floor plan, raised above the ground level containing a wine cellar, with the centrally positioned entrance and two rooms on each side of the reception areal) has been the subject of the architectural reconstruction. It had to address the needs of the new owner, a larger number of family members with their specific and diverse interests and activities, the contemporary way of urban life, and changed housing paradigms. Both the refurbishment of the existing building and the annex design aimed at conveying the conversation between the ‘historical’ and ‘contemporary, making the new proposal acceptable and non-invasive regarding the inherited architectural and urban patterns. The contemporary approach to reconstruction (the higher degree of freedom concerning the temporal dialogue), which has been placed at the centre of the architect’s proposal, made the presented transformation worth a specific critical review. The owner’s programmatic requirements placed to the forefront the idea of several living areas with different themes to which the architect added the possibility of fulfilling all the arrangements regarding family members (and visitors)—individual and shared, isolated/enclosed and open/free-flowing—covering all generations, with an emphasis on a large private library and studio for work, research, and reading. These elements have been inscribed in the designed architectural space, creating a unique experience and atmosphere for each scenario of daily life, particularly in the luminous studio-gallery space with the large book collection.Architectural Design Project - Technical Solution (non-commercialised), by Dragana Ćirić - unit [d] (legal subject: Studio "V"
Coherence and simple polytopes
U teoriji kategorija, koherencija koja je vezana za određeni tip kategori-ja, u najgrubljem smislu znači komutiranje dijagrama sastavljenih od kanonskihstrelica tih kategorija...In category theory, the term coherence of a particular type of the category indicates in thebroadest sense that the diagrams composed of its canonical arrows commute..
– Autohtona forma durmitorske kuće;
– Optimalno pozicioniranje u odnosu na mikro lokaciju koja je izložena izuzetnim vizurama prema durmitorskom masivu;
– Principima ekološke izgradnje sa dominantnom upotrebom drveta kao osnovnog gradbenog materijala;
– Preispitivanjem koncepta luksuznog smještaja sa favorizacijom vizura, prirodnih materijala i optimalne mjere boravka kao luksuznih;

UB-FA Students’ Yearbook is the result of multi-year activities with a focus on archiving and presenting the students’ work in design studio courses, as well as other project-based courses at the University of Belgrade - Faculty of Architecture. The Yearbook is created to be one of the channels for dissemination and promotion of the results from the educational process in bachelor’s and master's programs. Published annually, the Yearbook gives an overview as a systematic insight into topics, approaches, and responses to semester tasks

Revealing the relationship between city size and spatial transformation of large housing estates in post-socialist Serbia
This paper considers the links between the city size and transformation of inherited socialist large housing estates within the process of post-socialist urban changes in Serbia. Based on the theoretical and contextual framework, we investigate the following: 1) whether there is a relationship between different city sizes and types, pace and intensity of large housing estates physical and functional transformations, and 2) which type(s) of transformation are dominant in different city size categories. To highlight the relationship, this research draws on the empirical evidence from cities which represent four city size categories in Serbia: Belgrade (capital city), Nis (second-tier city), Leskovac (third-tier city), and Bor (fourth-tier city). Research reveals that transformation of large housing estates is shaped by an unregulated urban environment, relaxed legal culture, and entrepreneurial attitudes of the local authorities to urban planning. Recognizing the power of specific local imperatives, the investigation indicates the interrelation between a certain city size and types and intensity of transformations - they are most diverse in the capital, while diversities decrease with the cities downsizing. Dominant transformation types also vary, reflecting the city categories and their economic power - those that require high/moderate investments and involve many actors dominate in the capital and the second-tier city, while the types based on small individual actions and investments dominate in the third and the fourth-tier city. This initial research aimed to create a platform for further investigation that will provide broader insights into this underrepresented issue and set the ground for urban regeneration strategies
Specific incompletness: unleashing the potential
The conceptual shift in architecture to fragmentary spatial and formal flows emphasizes the existence of a void based on these internal relations. Architecture is a dynamic process, one that is open to possibility and amplified capacities. The goal is to make the visible invisible and invisible visible, through reflection and the virtual. In the virtual, the openness of form outlines its own shape through code — through the abstraction of natural and generative processes. This means that the unpredictability of design intends to approach to nature itself by pointing out the complex intricacies intertwined within its being, leading to a flexible view of its own material and a flexible concept of material itself. In this sequence, a new natural can be understood as the diversity of an open unpredictable world and as the constant disintegration of materiality in time. Within the limitless creative openness of the digital process, the natural is understood as contingent and turning towards the unexpected, impulsive or accidental. The fragmented nature of virtual relations in its disharmony creates a new (de)coded reality, simultaneously bringing us back to the imaginary that is always in motion, in disharmony and in asymmetry in order to release its creative nature. Change is found within intensified potentials — in all its specificity in relation to everything else, as well as itself
