Fontbonne Centennial: Interview with Jane Hassett, CSJ
Sr. Jane entered the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1951 and taught at Fontbonne College as a member of the history department before assuming the presidency in 1972. During her time as president, Hassett made great progress on Fontbonne’s fragile financial position and was especially successful in fundraising.
Following her period as president of Fontbonne, Sr. Jane served as the executive director of the Sisters’ Energy Conservation Program funded by the Conrad Hilton Foundation and later as the administrator of Our Lady of Life Apartments in St. Louis, Missouri. In 1997, she returned to Fontbonne University in the Advancement Office as a records researcher, writer, and archivist. She retired from that position in 2012 and was honored with the Founders Award in 2012.
Hassett is the author of two books on Fontbonne University history: As Strong as the Granite and A Decade of Growth: 1999-2009

A Case History of Non-Causational Autism and Hearing Loss Diagnoses
This case study looks retroactively at one now 20-year-old white male\u27s case history -- for privacy purposes, our participant will be referred to a ZG -- reviewing his Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis, his bilateral hearing loss diagnosis, and treatment services he received. This study will review literature relating to those who have had similar dual diagnoses, how one can look like the other by discussing symptoms of both and where they overlap, and what treatment was given to those patients. By the end, the author will infer if the best choices were made given his diagnoses and which diagnosis was given precedence in his life.https://griffinshare.fontbonne.edu/slp-posters-2023/1001/thumbnail.jp
