Kesan Model Polya Dalam Pembelajaran Algoritma Dalam Kalangan Pelajar: Satu Kajian Kes
No full textKeputusan yang cemerlang penting untuk pelajar matrikulasi dan memberi peluang yang lebih baik dalam pemilihan bidang bagi melanjutkan pelajaran ke peringkat Ijazah. Namun, penguasaan kemahiran penyelesaian masalah yang lemah dalam pengaturcaraan menyebabkan pelajar sukar mendapatkan keputusan yang baik. Maka kajian ini dijalankan untuk mengenalpasti kesan penggunaan model penyelesaian masalah Polya dalam pembelajaran algoritma pengaturcaraan dalam kalangan pelajar matrikulasi. Metodologi kajian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen kuantitatif berbentuk kuasi eksperimen kumpulan kawalan tidak setara dengan ujian pra dan ujian pasca. Eksperimen dilaksanakan selama tujuh minggu dan instrumen kajian yang digunakan adalah ujian pra dan ujian pasca yang terdiri daripada enam soalan subjektif. Keputusan ujian-t menunjukkan terdapat perbezaan min yang signifikan antara pencapaian ujian pasca kumpulan rawatan berbanding pencapaian kumpulan kawalan. Ini menunjukkan kaedah adaptasi Model Polya yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran algortima pengaturcaraan meningkatkan prestasi pencapaian pelajar. Implikasi kajian ini menunjukkan bahawa adaptasi Model Polya sesuai digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran dan pengajaran algoritma khususnya dalam penyelesaian masalah pengaturcaraan.
Attitudes Polya Model Impact on Algorithm Learning: A Case Study
Abstract: Excellent results are important for matriculation students and provide better opportunities in the selection of fields to further their studies to the Degree level. However, poor mastery of problem-solving skills in programming makes it difficult for students to get good results. Therefore, this study was conducted to identify the effect of using the Polya problem-solving model in the learning of programming algorithms among matriculation students. The research methodology used is a qualitative quantitative experimental control group experiment not equivalent to pre-test and post-test. The experiment was conducted for seven weeks and the research instruments used were pre-test and post-test consisting of six subjective questions. The results of the t-test showed that there was a significant mean difference between the post-treatment achievements of the treatment group compared to the achievement of the control group. This shows the Polya Model adaptation method used in learning programming algorithms to improve student achievement performance. The implications of this study show that the adaptation of the Polya Model is suitable for use in the process of learning and teaching algorithms, especially in solving programming problems.

The Correlation between Characteristics, Knowledge and Motivation of Couples in Childbearing Age with the Early Detection of Cervical Cancer in Ulin General Hospital Banjarmasin
Get PDFCervical cancer is a malignant tumor that grows in the cervix and often attack women. In Indonesia cervical cancer is the number one killer of all cancers. So early detection is very important. The incidence of cancer from year to year has been increasing significantly. On the contrary, the coverage of pap smear test has been decreasing. The aims are to determine the correlation of characteristics (age, education, and employment), knowledge and motivation and early detection of cervical cancer in couples of childbearing age in patients of Ulin General Hospital Banjarmasin. This type of research is analytic survey with cross sectional. The population is all couples of childbearing age who visit in obstetrics policlinic in Ulin General Hospital Banjarmasin. Sampling method was done by accidental sampling using a sample size of 30 people. Analysis using the spearman rank correlation test with 95% confidence value. Results find no correlation between age and early detection of cervical cancer (p=0,264>α=0,05), a correlation between education and early detection of cervical cancer (p=0,001<α=0,05), a correlation between employment with early detection of cervical cancer (p=0,003<α=0,05), no correlation between knowledge with the early detection of cervical cancer (p=0,425>α=0,05)), no correlation between motivation with the early detection of cervical cancer (p=0,264>α=0,05)

The results of the research explained that to maintain the trust of Indonesian people who are predominantly Muslim, sharia banking must apply the Good Corporate Governance principles in its management. The application of the Good Corporate Governance principles in sharia banking is strictly regulated in Article 34 Paragraph (1) of Law Number 21 of 2008, which emphasizes that sharia banks must implement good governance that includes the principles of transparency, accountability, responsibility, professionalism and fairness in carrying out its business activities. Implementation of Incremental Models on Development of Web-Based Loan Cooperative Applications

The XYZ Savings and Loan Cooperative is a non-bank financial company engaged in savings and loans. In the employee payroll process so far it still uses the manual method, start from recording attendance, up to the salary calculation process. Web-based application development developed by researchers is used to overcome the problems of XYZ Savings and Credit Cooperatives. Development of Savings and Loan Cooperative applications developed using the incremental model. 31 respondents from the company tested the application. Application testing based on usability factor ISO 9126-3. Applications get a value of 82.66% in terms of ease of understanding, 81.50% in terms of ease of study, 81% in terms of ease of operation, 81.33% in terms of interest and 82% in terms of usage compliance. The average total rating in terms of the usefulness of the application get 82.66% so the application is very useful for companies in helping to calculate employee payroll
An Early Development Process of an Augmented Reality-Based Healthy Diet Tool Prototype
Get PDFThis paper presents an early development process of an augmented reality-based healthy diet tool prototype i.e. getting the initial requirements for the prototype. This tool is being developed using the evolutionary prototype model. Thus, the tool development will follow several complete 4-phase iterations of the prototype model. To get the initial requirements, we have analysed several existing applications that are related to diet, food and cooking. We found out that the augmented reality is not a common feature. We had also conducted an interview with one of 2018 diet challenge participants. The interviewee welcomed the idea of having augmented reality in the diet tool with a condition that the feature should be designed to accommodate the users. Therefore, several iterations will be conducted to get the best specifications for a diet tool prototype and finding the best ways to embed the augmented reality features into the tool. We will also validate with experts sets of menu, advice and instructions to be used in the tool. It is hoped that our effort will help in developing a reliable, healthy diet tool with suitable augmented reality feature. 
Christian Response to Reproductive Technologies: A Case Study of Artificial Insemination
Get PDFThe scientific method of artificial insemination is one of the reproductive technology that came into widespread use some decades ago. With this method, some couples with fertility problems can now have children through artificial insemination; a process where concentrated male semen is introduced into the female reproductive system artificially in the clinic for childbearing. The increasing cases of childlessness, infertility or barrenness among married couples and request from the homosexuals (gay and lesbians) have given rise to high demand for artificial insemination. Today, there are commercial sperm banks that store frozen sperms for sell to those who need them. This artificial method of childbearing has generated serious controversy among theologians, bioethical and Christian scholars. Artificial insemination has indeed given hope to many couples globally whose marriages were threatened due to the problem of barrenness, childlessness or reproductive malfunctioning. The major Christian and ethical concern is that the process is artificial and manipulative rather than being natural. This paper aims to examine the biblical perspective of this phenomenal scientific breakthrough and show whether or not artificial insemination is compatible with the Christian doctrine of marriage and childbearing. The research method adopted is descriptive, using secondary materials from journals, textbooks and websites to elucidate the points. The study reveals that there is no consensuses agreement on the issue of reproductive technology among Christian scholars and the biblical interpretation of some related passages are not explicit on issues of reproductive technology. The study, therefore, recommends a more natural way of treating the issues of infertility, barrenness and childlessness by investigating into the causes of infertility and proffer a curative solution rather than resort into masturbation and commercialization of human sperm and egg
