Vulnerability and Vulnerance: Marginalization of Women in 1 Timothy 2:12-15
Did 1 Timothy 2:12-15 serve to marginalize women? From a feminist and vulnerability standpoint, we suggest reinterpreting the text with using Leo G. Perdue Biblical Theology concept. In terms of vulnerance, Paul restricts the role of women for the sake of the salvation of the Christian community in Ephesus under the shepherding of Timothy. From a perspective of vulnerability, women\u27s restriction can be attributed to the issue of inequality, the hierarchical structure of control and subjugation by the wealthy during that era, and the susceptibility of women to be misled by heretical beliefs at the time. The passage 1 Timothy 2:12-15 provides insight into the cultural marginalization of women during that era. Therefore, the present-day Christian community must actively advocate for gender equality by addressing the underlying factors that contribute to the marginalization of women

Transformative Christian Education to Fight Against Human Trafficking
This writing is driven by the increasing cases of human trafficking in Sumba, a serious crime against humanity and a violation of human rights. Many men and women working abroad, along with numerous women and children, have fallen victim to trafficking, where they are exploited without fair wages or forced into sexual labor. In recent years, many victims of trafficking have returned home with missing organs, or worse, have lost their lives. The author believes that the church must take action by raising awareness and resistance through transformative Christian education. Thus, this writing aims to analyze how transformative Christian education can play a role in combating human trafficking. The research is based on a qualitative methodology, using data collection methods such as literature review, observation, and interviews. The findings indicate that Christian education within the church has yet to address human trafficking, as it currently focuses solely on worship services. The author suggests that Christian education in congregations should be re-evaluated to include topics related to human trafficking. The Christian educational content should not only be drawn from the Bible but also from real-world experiences and social issues like human trafficking that affect the community. The goal of Christian education should be to inspire transformation and change within the congregatio

Paul\u27s and the Position of Women in Worship Service: Study of 1 Timothy 2:8-15
The dichotomy that is often debated is patriarchal and feminist cultural systems. The centralization of human life is largely directed towards men, both in social and religious circles, thereby encouraging the objectification of women and dominating them. The space for women seems to be closed, this also happens in the Christian sphere, where there are still churches that adhere to a literal interpretation of the Bible. As a result, the reading of 1 Timothy 2:8-15 is misinterpreted. The main aim of this research is to reconstruct and present egalitarianization between women and men based on 1 Timothy 2:8-15, especially in the scope of worship services. It is still found that some churches reject women as priests. This research uses qualitative methods, with a critical historical approach. The results show that the Ephesian women were contaminated with a life of debauchery or a luxurious lifestyle, wanting to appear beyond their capacity. So they tend to ignore Christian values. So, it cannot be a measure to reject the existence of women as ministers of worship (pastor), only the church needs to pay attention to Christian values and foster them in Indonesia context
Does One Secure Their Own Salvation? Analysis on Continue to Work Out Your Salvation
Though conceptually different, Sayyed Hosein Nashr and Hans Kung\u27s ideas on salvation share the same theological characteristics, which includes emphasizing the need of teaching kindness in order to achieve salvation. There is an inconsistency between this concept with the Bible. Luther believed that people are justified by faith and that this is the concept of salvation. What about the advice to "continue to work out your salvation" in Philippians 2:12? What type of salvation do believers achieve? Researchers are interested in gaining a comprehensive understanding of Philippians 2:12. The author notes that many members of the congregation lack a full grasp of the concept of salvation. This study aims to thoroughly explore the idea of "continue to work out your salvation" as presented in Philippians 2:12, employing qualitative methods such as textual and literary analysis. First, carry out in-depth text studies and observations on Philippians 2:12-18; secondly, build an exposition framework based on the collected data information. The research findings divide Philippians 2:12-18 into several components: a life of ongoing spiritual renewal (a transformative process encompassing spiritual growth, relational dynamics, and communal aspect) and a life that shines as a light (aligning with Jesus). Salvation is not stagnant but dynamic and demands active, progressive act. Good deeds stem from a proper response to the gifts received
God’s Truth: The Foundation of Existence in the Old Testament and Implications for the Church’s Mission
This article talks about the truth of God as the foundation of the existence of Judaism. The article aims to reveal the Jewish understanding of the truth of God that underlies the existence and continuity of Christianity. The study uses a descriptive qualitative method through literary analysis. The primary data for the study are texts from the Old Testament related to the truth of God and their connections in various texts of the New Testament. The selected texts are then analyzed using Dilthey\u27s hermeneutic circle and Gadamer\u27s horizon fusion techniques. The results of the analysis show that the understanding of the truth of God in Judaism is centered on God\u27s faithfulness to the covenant, but due to Israel\u27s acute violation, the concept of truth shifted towards God\u27s never-ending love and faithfulness. This understanding has a dimension of continuity in the New Testament and implications for the mission of the Church. This research helps readers gain an in-depth understanding that enriches evangelical theological research, helping to deepen understanding of God\u27s character, nature, and plan in human salvation history. Through in-depth research, the church can also discover continuity between the Old and New Testaments to better understand how God\u27s message and mission
Membebaskan Makna Sesama dari Kekangan Ghetto: Menjadi Gereja yang Merangkul Sesama dari Perspektif Lukas 10:25-37
The diversity of life and its complexity is a rich social fact and should be celebrated through encounters between fellow humans, but it is often harmed by forms of discrimination and self-limitation that narrow these relationships. This then restricts the existence of human life in narrow spaces like ghettos which isolate people from their social, cultural and religious contexts. This type of life is of course not permitted by the church, but often the church also participates in it. This is a historical burden that continues as previously seen in the text of Luke 10:25-37. The method used in this research is a library research method using library sources that are relevant to this research, as well as an interpretive or hermeneutic method to interpret the meaning of the biblical text for the current context. The results of this research are: first, the text of Luke 10:25-37 questions the meaning of fellow human beings, which the Israelites failed to practice compared to the Samaritans. In this text Jesus chooses to side with the actions of the Samaritans and criticizes the actions of the Israelites. Second, the text of Luke 10:25-37 reveals that the meaning of neighbor is universal and the church is required to side with Jesus\u27 call to participate in building universal relationships with fellow humans beyond social, cultural and religious barriers. Third, the Church must free the meaning of others from the constraints of the ghetto that alienates their existence from the world
