    Integrasi Dimensi Etis dan Praktik Konseling Pastoral Kontemporer Konteks Lingkungan Gereja

    The issue of integrity and ethics in pastoral counseling services is a major concern in the contemporary church context. Various cases of ethical violations within the church environment highlight a gap in the application of moral and ethical values, which should serve as the foundation of pastoral ministry. Therefore, this study aims to explore how ethical values can be effectively integrated into pastoral counseling practices to create a more dignified and responsible church environment. This research employs a qualitative method with a literature review approach, analyzing various theological and academic sources related to pastoral ethics, church leadership, and counseling dynamics within the Christian community. The study also examines moral principles rooted in the Bible as the primary guideline for pastoral ministers in guiding congregants. The findings indicate that the integration of ethics in pastoral counseling heavily relies on a deep understanding of Christian moral principles and the strict application of ethical standards in interactions between church leaders and congregants. By emphasizing the character of Christ as the primary model in pastoral ministry, the church can develop counseling practices that are more effective, ethical, and aligned with Christian values

    This article aims to analyze the pastoral service practices of Paul that are worthy of being imitated by the local church leaders today by focusing on the content of his farewell speech to the elders of the church in Ephesus based on Luke\u27s record in Acts 20:17-38. The narrative hermeneutic method will analyze each statement related to his service actions. The results of the analysis show the pastoral service practices that are lived, taught, and need to be imitated by church leaders today in Indonesia. The study results show that the Apostle Paul presents the principles of pastoral service that are timeless and relevant to the context of local church service today. The fundamental principles he taught and the challenges pastoral leaders face today are: First, making the most of time. Pastoral leaders in the present era are challenged to maximize every opportunity in their service, especially amid many distractions and demands of the times. Second, he emphasizes the importance of humility in service. Today\u27s leaders must be aware of the danger of arrogance and constantly realize their trustworthy source of strength. Third, Paul not only serves with enthusiasm but also with deep emotion. This challenges today\u27s church leaders to engage emotionally, empathize with the congregation, and feel grief and joy with them. Fourth, he often faces threats and dangers in his service. Church leaders must be ready to face challenges, especially when voicing the truth of the Bible in an increasingly secular cultural context. Fifth, serving with teaching. He emphasizes the importance of correct and profound teaching. In the information age full of false teachings, pastoral leaders are challenged to continue to provide teaching based on the Bible and relevant to their congregation

Artikel ini mengeksplorasi gaya belajar Generasi Z dalam konteks pendidikan Kristen di gereja, sekolah, dan keluarga. Pendekatan pendidikan yang efektif memerlukan pemahaman mendalam tentang preferensi belajar siswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi berbagai permasalahan yang dihadapi PTKKI dalam mencapai nilai unggul serta mencoba menawarkan strategi peningkatan mutu dan program pengembangan.     Era digital ditandai dengan kemajuan teknologi dan perubahan yang cepat. Sehingga kemampuan komunikasi menjadi keterampilan penting yang harus dimiliki. Pendidikan Kristen berperan dalam membentuk karakter komunikatif mahasiswa di era digital. Permasalahan yang terjadi di era digital yaitu kurangnya kesadaran mahasiswa akan pentingnya kemampuan berkomunikasi.  Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengekplorasi peran pendidikan Kristen dalam meningkatkan kesadaran mahasiswa akan pentingnya kemampuan berkomunikasi di Institut Agama Kristen Negeri Palangka Raya. Tujuan ini akan dicapai dengan mengidentifikasi masalah kurangnya kesadaran mahasiswa akan pentingnya kemampuan berkomunikasi, serta mengevaluasi efektivitas pendekatan pendidikan Kristen dalam mengatasi tantangan ini. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dan penelitian pustaka. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan Kristen berkontribusi secara signifikan dalam membentuk karakter komunikatif mahasiswa yaitu: Pertama, membentuk nilai-nilai etis dan moral. Kedua, mengajarkan komunikasi yang penuh kasih. Ketiga, melaksanakan pendidikan tentang etika digital. Keempat, mengembangkan keterampilan literasi digital. Kelima, melakukan pembinaan karakter melalui pembelajaran berbasis aktivitas. Keenam, menjadi model peran atau teladan. Ketujuh, menggunakan teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu pendidikan Kristen memiliki potensi besar dalam membentuk karakter komunikatif mahasiswa di era digital. Melalui pembentukan karakter komunikatif mahasiswa dapat berinteraksi dengan baik diberbagai platform digital, menjaga etika, dan menyampaikan pesan dengan jelas dan sopan

    This research employs a qualitative research method with a literature review approach. The reinterpretation of the differences between the Law of Moses and the Ten Commandments is an effort to contribute to the discourse on the growing misconceptions about the Law, which significantly deviate from biblical truth. The Old and New Testaments speak of two distinct laws: the Law of Moses and the Ten Commandments of God. Unfortunately, many Christians are unaware of this truth, leading to misconceptions about the definition of the Law that do not align with the Word of God. Based on the research findings, these two "laws" exhibit significant differences: the Law of Moses was temporary, meaning its validity lasted only until the death of Jesus on the cross. In contrast, the Ten Commandments of God represent the Law of Love, given to His people as an eternal principle and standard of life. Thus, the existence of Christ and His Ten Commandments is the central foundation of both the Old and New Testaments. Therefore, the Bible must be comprehensively understood as a unified whole, possessing equal authority

The study employed socio-rhetorical analysis, anchored in John\u27s theology from chapter 15:9-17, to explore the theological and practical dimensions of spirituality in the workplace. Selected sources from prominent databases underpinned the socio-rhetorical analysis, providing a comprehensive understanding of the subject. The findings underscored that implementing spirituality in the workplace, particularly from a Christian perspective, could foster inclusivity, harmony, and organizational efficiency. Effective communication and respect for diverse beliefs emerged as pivotal factors in ensuring universal understanding and embrace of workplace spirituality. The research contributed nuanced insights into the intersection of theology and practice, offering implications for theory and application in contemporary workplaces. It concluded that workplace spirituality, rooted in John\u27s theology, possessed transformative potential, infusing workplaces with transcendent purpose, nurturing harmonious relationships, and cultivating effective leadership. The implications of this study extended to the broader discourse on spirituality in organizational contexts, enriching the understanding of the role of faith and theology in shaping the modern workplace, especially in the unique socio-cultural landscape of Indonesia

    National Political Differences as a Cause of Debate Between the Pharisees and Jesus

    The prevailing view of the frequent debates between Jesus and the Pharisees was based on Jesus’ criticism of their hypocrisy and formalism. However, if we look further, the debate was also caused by the contrasts between the national political vision of Jesus and the Pharisees regarding Israel’s National Identity. This research explores that the debate between Jesus and the Pharisees is also caused by the differences between the national vision of Jesus and the Pharisees regarding the national identity of Israel in the 1st Century. This research used hermeneutical methods and library research with nation-state theory. This research proved that the sharp contradictions in the national visions of the Pharisees and Jesus regarding Israel’s national identity were also the cause of their frequent debates. The national political vision of the Pharisees was based on “Imitatio Sanctitatis Dei,” which was interpreted as separation, so it was exclusive. Jesus’ national vision was based on “Imitatio Misericordiae Dei,” which was inclusive. Through this research, it can be concluded that the debate between Jesus and the Pharisees was not only caused by Jesus’ criticism of formalism and hypocrisy but was also caused by contradictions regarding their national political vision of Israel’s national identity
