Get PDFThis study aims to discuss technological disruptions that need to be addressed by Christian education teachers with adequate competence. Apparently, the rapid development of technology has created a dilemma for some Christian education teachers in Indonesia because they do not yet have adequate digital competence. Therefore, the qualitative method and the literature approach along with the thought analysis step are used to explore theoretical aspects and empirical facts. This is the effort made in several literatures such as books and journals. The results show that Christian religious education teachers should continue to improve their competence, including digital, spiritual and multiliteracy competencies that are responsive to the influence of Post-Truth in the era of technological disruption. Furthermore, Christian education teachers are responsible for utilizing the development of information technology, optimistic in increasing digital competence, in order to concretize the principles of multiliteracy education in a critical-reflective and effective manner on a variety of information for students in relation to the existence and social relations of a pluralistic society

Get PDF2030 is fast approaching, and Indonesia will experience a demographic bonus. The Church and the State can work together to prepare the youth generation to be leaders in the future. This research aims to prepare the youth generation as leaders with Christian character and resilience in the face of Indonesia\u27s demographic bonus in 2030 and how strategies for coaching. This research was conducted using a qualitative research method or literature study. The result of this research is that the church prepares the younger generation as leaders; the strategies that can be used to develop leaders with Christian character include firstly, disciplining leaders, secondly assisting (mentoring), thirdly practising serving a small flock, fourthly experiencing the baptism of the Holy Spirit, fifthly equipping leaders with counselling skills and sixth involving leaders in solving problems in the surrounding environment

The purpose and usefulness of this journal are to provide every reader with knowledge about marriage law and its implementation forms in Torajan society. Both to the general public and to the Torajan people so that marriage is carried out for the purposes regulated by law without ignoring the value of customs that apply in Toraja and have become a habit by the Torajan people. But in this case, also the marriage of the Toraja people is associated with a counterculture model that supports the existence of customs that are obeyed by each community in their respective regions so that by understanding this counterculture, we increasingly understand the law in conducting marriage or Rampanan kapa\u27 in Torajan society. Get PDFThis research aims to show that the ethnic theology of wedding dowry builds the relationship between two prominent families as the foundation of society. The main issue from the previous research is economic instability for a household in marriage life. The original value of the wedding dowry in the Bone village, NTT, is to exhibit the reflection of the teaching from the forefathers to bond up the relative. The acknowledgment of the wedding dowry is the acceptance of the stranger into the big family as the expression of the building relative\u27s value. Therefore, Sus Oef – called – is the way of expressing the idea of reflecting on the ritual of the people in the Bone village among the society. Through the sociological religion method, this research is conducted to reveal the perspective emic of the issue. The sociological analysis helps this research to see how the anatomy of Sus Oef works in the light of the Biblical narrative. The result of this study is that religion leads to extensive family bonding in the wedding ceremony. Finally, the conclusion presents how religion legitimates the family\u27s bonding as the ethnic theological wedding dowry. The result of this study applies to church human resources education to understand the ethnic theology of wedding dowry as a part of cultural existence to recognize the extensive family bonding through the wedding dowry

Get PDFStudents of the Arastamar Evangelical Theology College (SETIA) Ngabang as spiritual leaders must have good skills, leadership, and personality which are very much needed today for church services and in Christian educational institutions because they need mentoring by SETIA Ngabang lecturers. Some of SETIA Ngabang\u27s theology students have not shown the maximum skills and personality to handle spiritual services even though graduate users need their energy. To produce accurate research, qualitative research methods are used with observation and interview approaches as options; as well as the sources of literature as a support in this research. Mentoring spiritual leaders at SETIA Ngabang can be done by lecturers who have special knowledge and experience in certain fields according to their expertise, because spiritual leaders are needed to have the fear of God, respect, humility, spirituality, integrity, competence, qualifications, credibility, and loyalty in spiritual ministry, both in the church and in Christian educational institutions. The theoretical implication of the research is that SETIA Ngabang lecturers and students who do not yet have skills in certain fields, competitiveness in leadership, and personality in carrying out responsibilities at SETIA Ngabang to the maximum need to be mentored to be able to show capabilities in their service. The implementation of mentoring can improve performance, commitment, motivation, awareness, and better self-reflection so that leadership ability is getting better as well

Get PDFThe problem of this article is discussing the importance of Philip Yancey\u27s Christological views applied in efforts to educate Christians in their faith which is centred on Christ. The purpose of this article is to explain Yancey\u27s thoughts about the figure of Jesus who changes the lives of believers to become like Him. The method used is literature study. The results show that Yancey\u27s thoughts about the characteristics of Jesus were not to stimulate objective academic-dogmatic thinking, but rather to present personal reflections as a journalist in order to reveal the identity of the Nazarene Youth through the literature he wrote. The Jesus he knew was a figure who changed him and would also change every person who met personally with the Son of God. Yancey tries to develop a new synthesis regarding the character and profile of Jesus and encourages readers to welcome Jesus as the authority over human life. Yancey\u27s ideas about the figure of Jesus can be used as material for Christian faith education for the maturation of believers\u27 faith. In conclusion, people who know and believe in Jesus personally are guaranteed to experience renewal of life and become like Him

Get PDFIn this article, the author would like to express his appreciation for the faith of the Toba Batak Catholics in the parish of St. John the Baptist, Perawang Riau, Padang Diocese, related to the Mangupa Lahiron Daganak tradition carried out in the Toba Batak tribal community. The Mangupa Lahiron Daganak tradition is one of the ceremonies to welcome and give thanks for the birth of a child in the Toba Batak family. This tradition is no longer carried out completely by Toba Batak Catholics in the parish of Saint John the Baptist Perawang Riau. Several instruments are used in the ritual of the Mangupa Lahiron Daganak ceremony. The function of this instrument is to make the ceremony run smoothly, wisely, and meaningfully. The instruments used in the ceremony contain symbols that are meaningful in people\u27s lives. The purpose of this paper is to find and interpret the symbols in the Mangupa Lahiron Daganak ceremony, not only from a social point of view but more on theological meanings that can strengthen the appreciation of the faith of Catholics, especially the Toba Batak people. The results showed that the Toba Batak Catholics in the St. John the Baptist Perawang Riau parish were able to find social meaning, which was then transformed into an appreciation of the Christian faith, even though the Toba Batak people in the St. John the Baptist Perawang Riau parish no longer held the full Mangupa Lahiron Daganak ceremony
