    Spiritual Education for Children as A Shared Responsibility Between Parents and The Church

    Parents must nurture their children from their earliest days to know God personally. However, some parents sometimes do not realize this and neglect their responsibility. Thus, this study explores how parents and the church should develop a mutual partnership in children’s spiritual education. The author used a qualitative method with a literature approach to investigate the problem and propose suggestions. The conclusion was that the parent is the primary responsible party in educating children. But, they can not do this task independently without the church\u27s help. Since relying on Sunday School as part of the church’s responsibility for teaching children alone is not enough, the church could help them by providing training that educates parents to do their parental responsibilities. And to ensure that the education at home will overlap with church teaching, Sunday School teachers and parents as partners should develop mutual respect and communication. If everyone involved in children\u27s ministry, directly or indirectly, could cultivate this joint responsibility, it would help children grow in fear of God and be better people. As the future generation, improving the quality of our ministry for children will eventually create a better church, now and later

    Exemplary is a person\u27s attitude in setting an example through good actions so that they can be role models for other. Christian Education (CE) teacher must be role models for students as well as for the community to be able to apply in daily life what is taught in classroom through words, behavior, love, faithfulness, and purity of life.  In addition, CE teacher must meet the personality competencies of teachers, namely: they must be patient, honest, disciplined and fair. The formulation of the problem in this study is how students perceive the example of CE teachers.  The purpose of the study was to describe students\u27 perceptions of the example of CE teachers. The research method used in this study is a qualitative research method.  From the results of the study, it was concluded that based on student perceptions, CE teacher have become role models in several ways and have not become role models for several other things

    The use of digital media is a current trend. This progress should be utilized in Christian mission services, especially in responding to the challenges of service in underdeveloped villages scattered throughout Indonesia. This article tries to explain the use of digital media in holistic mission services in Bambaoma village. By using ethnographic qualitative methods and also use a variety of existing literature and observations of researchers who have served in this village. The results of the study found that the use of digital media for holistic mission services in Bambaoma hamlet can be used to support teaching and training in various fields, both in the spiritual field through sermons, teaching in Sunday Schools and basic education for young children, as well as teaching ways to good farming practices and healthy lifestyles to improve the welfare of the Bamboama hamlet community holistically

    The development of increasingly advanced Science and Technology has altered various aspects of human life. Whether consciously or not, this development has also impacted the spiritual component of humans. This article discusses how sin can enter human existence through the senses of hearing and sight, beginning with Eve in Genesis 3:15 and continuing to the present day with the widespread use of digital media. The method utilized is a literature review composed of books and journal articles. The findings of this study indicate that digital media can serve as a channel for sin. Humans can sin because of flawed hearing and words. Through the consumption of indecent materials such as pornography, and the unethical use of visual media, digital media sets up the potential for humans to feed their already sinful tendencies. This action demeans human dignity and undermines cherished Christian values. Sinful individuals require pastoral care. Understanding, support, guidance, prayer, prevention, and long-term recovery must be the focus of the ministry for those who have sinned through digital media use. Therefore, a pastor and pastoral counselors must understand the digital world and the challenges people confront in order to approach problems with wisdom and compassion

    Writing this article aims to describe the pastor\u27s strategy in educating, fostering and guiding young people to experience spiritual growth. This article refers to the role of pastors in formulating the right strategy to solve the spiritual problems of young people which are slowly declining due to the pace of technology. Where, young people ignore worship and other spiritual activities such as a lack of interest in worship both in public worship, household worship, youth worship, and worship activities on church holidays. The, method used in this research is literature study which refers to references related to the topic raised. In this study, the authors found that pastors have a strategy to apply their leadership to grow the spirituality of youth through Teaching God\u27s Word with contextual topics, Bible study, coaching and guidance through counseling and the use of digital media. The achievement of pastoral leadership in the spiritual growth of young people is seen in terms of their quality of life. The proof of the spiritual growth of young people is that they will be diligent in participating in fellowship services at church and are able to practice the value of the truth of God\u27s Word to their surroundings

    Artikel ini membahas tentang peran guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen dalam penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila dalam konteks kurikulum merdeka. Beberapa aspek penting yang perlu diperhatikan oleh guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen untuk melaksanakan tugasnya dengan efektif dieksplorasi menggunakan sumber-sumber pustaka yang relevan. Berdasarkan hasil eksplorasi terhadap berbagai sumber pustaka, ditemukan beberapa peran sentral guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen dalam penguatan profil pelajar Pancasila. Pertama, Menjadi fasilitator pembelajaran nilai Pancasila. Guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen dapat menggunakan metode yang interaktif dan kreatif, untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan aplikasi nilai-nilai Pancasila dalam kehidupan sehari-hari; Kedua, Mendidik tentang nilai-nilai Kristen dan Pancasila.  Guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen memiliki tugas untuk mengajarkan siswa tentang nilai-nilai Kristen sekaligus nilai-nilai Pancasila yang sesuai dengan agama mereka; Ketiga, Membimbing dalam menjalankan ajaran agama Kristen secara konkret. Guru Pendidikan Agama Kristen dapat membantu pelajar memperkuat dimensi spiritual dengan memberikan pengajaran tentang iman Kristen, doa, dan ibadah; Keempat, Mengembangkan sikap toleransi dan menghormati perbedaan. Guru Pendidikan agama Kristen memiliki tanggung jawab untuk membantu siswa mengembangkan sikap toleransi, baik dalam konteks agama maupun keberagaman sosial yang ada di Indonesia; dan Kelima, Menjadi contoh teladan dalam pengamalan nilai-nilai Kristen dan Pancasila.Â

    Tujuan penulisan artikel ini adalah mendeskripsikan gerakan ramah anak dalam pendidikan agama Kristen di tengah budaya Suku Bali yang patriarki. Di mana,  budaya patriarki dibangun atas dasar hierarki dominasi laki-laki dalam tatanan kehidupan keluarga dan perempuan lebih diarahkan untuk mengurusi kebutuhan dapur, sehingga kesetaraan gender menjadi tidak seimbang. Hal ini tentu tidak ramah terhadap anak dalam konteks dunia modern yang menuntut kesetaraan gender dalam berbagai hal. Adapun metode penelitian yang di gunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif  kualitatif. Dalam kajian ini, peneliti menemukan bahwa Gerakan ramah anak dapat dimuat dalam Pendidikan Agama Kristen. Dimulai dengan memahami dan mengajarkan kepada anak dasar teologi anak, yang mana mengingatkan anak tentang harkat dan martabat yang mereka miliki adalah sama. Kemudian juga mengingatkan orang tua untuk dapat mengubah cara berpikir patriarki menjadi ramah anak, dengan cara membantu orang tua menyadari martabat semua anak, termasuk anak perempuan. Teologi anak menjadi salah satu upaya gereja untuk memperkenalkan Tuhan dan apa kehendak-Nya dalam perspektif anak. Oleh karena itu, pergeseran pemahaman ini memberikan dampak luas dan mendalam bagi jemaat suku Bali

    Metode Pembelajaran Ramah Remaja di GMIT Jemaat Kalvari Maumere

    Learning methods for teenagers in the church are often equated with learning methods for children. If it is differentiated, it is a kind of modification of the teaching model of children. The teachers are not treating teenagers according to their abilities and needs. Based on the context of the teenagers at GMIT Kalvari, Maumere, this research wants to reveal the extent to which the learning methods used so far are friendly or unfriendly to the teenager group of Generation Z. The research method used is qualitative research using structured interviews to the groups of teacher and teenager and review on the teaching material document "Derap Remaja" that is used in 2022. By using the theory of learning models of Sara Little and generation theory of Gen Z foranalyze the context, results show that teenager-friendly learning is an urgent need because one-way teaching patterns are still strong enough to dominate the teenager learning model at GMIT Kalvari. Therefore, this paper proposes three principles and practical aspects related to the teenager learning methods, which are responsive and dialogical methods that go beyond the monologue one, the active involvement of teenagers in the learning process, and learning process that encourage the teenager to do something in their real lif
