Design and Implementation of Internet based Power Monitoring and Controlling System using PIC16F84A Microcontroller for Energy Regulation
One of the major causes of high electrical energy consumption is unawareness of usage of electricity Most people forget of turning-off lights and electrical equipment when not used or even when they are not around Study shows that 80 per cent of the employee in different offices would forget to turn off lights and other electrical equipment when they are out of the office The internet based remote control systems are commonly available in most advanced countries Thus for developing country like Ethiopia this technology is very much helpful for regulating the energy consumption of every government and private establishment The main objective of this project is to control and monitor any electrical appliances using internet anywhere The main components of this project were low cost computer as server and a low cost microcontroller PIC16F84
A New Modified Collection Selection Algorithm using Optimal Term Weight for Web based Applications
As the number of electronic data collections available on the internet increases so does the difficulty of finding the right collection for a given query Often the first time user will be overwhelmed by the array of options available and will waste time hunting through pages of collection names followed by time reading results pages after doing an adhoc search Collection selection using optimal weight methods try to solve this problem by suggesting the best subset of collections to search based on a query This is of importance to fields containing large number of electronic collections which undergo frequent change and collections that cannot be fully indexed using traditional methods such as spiders This paper presents a solution to these problems of selecting the best collections and reducing the number of collections needing to be searche
Energy Efficient Multicast Routing in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks: Contemporary Affirmation of Benchmarking Models in Recent Literature
The Mobile Ad hoc Networks playing critical role in network aided communication requirements The features such as ad hoc and open architecture based connectivity and node mobility are elevating the mobile ad hoc networks as much as feasible to deploy and use The direct communication between any of two nodes in this network is possible if target node is in the range of source node If not the indirect communication took place which is usually referred as multi hop routing The multi hop routing occurs as either a unicast model one source node to one destination node multicast model one source node to multiple destination nodes or multiple casting manifold unicast routing In these routing strategies provision of service quality in multi hop routing is a challenging task The optimal quality of service in routing magnifies the delivery ratio transmission rate network life span and other expected characteristics of the ad hoc routing Among the quality service provision factors minimal energy conservation is prime factor which is since the nodes involved in routing are self-energized and if discharged early then the route will be destructed that causes discontinued routing The energy consumption is more specific in multicast routing hence it is grabbing the more attention of the current research contribution
Exerting Moment Algorithms for Restoration of Blurred Images
In this paper presents the restoration of blurred images which gets degraded due to diverse atmospheric and environmental conditions, so it is essential to restore the original image. The research outcomes exhibit the major identified bottleneck for restoration is to deal with the blurred image as an input to imaging agent employing various methodologies ranging from principle component analysis to momentary algorithms and also a set of attempts are been executed in image restoration using various algorithms. However the precise results are not been proposed and demonstrated in the comparable researches. Also detail understanding for applications of moment algorithms for image restoration and demonstrating the benefits of geometric and orthogonal moments are becoming the recent requirements for research
A Fitness Function for Search-based Testing of Java Classes, which is Based on the States Reached by the Object under Test
Genetic Algorithms are among the most efficient search-based techniques to automatically generate unit test cases today. The search is guided by a fitness function which evaluates how close an individual is to satisfy a given coverage goal. There exists several coverage criteria but the default criterion today is branch coverage. Nevertheless achieving high or full branch coverage does not imply that the generated test suite has good quality. In object oriented programs the state of the object affects its behavior. Thereupon, test cases that put the object under test, in new states are of interest in the testing context. In this article we propose a new fitness function which takes into consideration three factors for evaluation: the approach level, the branch distance and the new states reached by a test case. The coverage targets are still the branches, but during the search, the state of the object under test evolves with the scope to produce individuals that discover interesting features of the class and as a consequence can discover errors. We implemented this fitness function in the eToc tool. In our experiments the usage of the proposed fitness function towards the original fitness function results in a relative increase of 15.6% in the achieved average mutation score with the cost of a relative increase of 12.6% in the average test suite size
Non Blind Watermarking Process using RSA Encryption Method
With the growth of technology and continuous rapid improvement in this field, the digital content took an important role in this current era of time. Online transactions keep growing in many parts of the world. As a result it becomes the prime target for hackers and intruders. Consequently security of data has become a critical issue for experts. In this paper a robust algorithm is proposed in watermarking image to secure the digital data. The proposed algorithm is based on SVDDWT with Harr Wavelet Transform (HWT) for embedding and extracting a digital watermark in an image. The experimental result shows that this technique is robust against few attacks like Gaussian, average and JPEG compression
Identity-Based Cryptosystem Based on Tate Pairing
Tate Pairings on Elliptic curve Cryptography are important because they can be used to build efficient Identity-Based Cryptosystems, as well as their implementation essentially determines the efficiency of cryptosystems. In this work, we propose an identity-based encryption based on Tate Pairing on an elliptic curve. The scheme was chosen cipher text security in the random oracle model assuming a variant of computational problem Diff Hellman. This paper provides precise definitions to encryption schemes based on identity, it studies the construction of the underlying ground field, their extension to enhance the finite field arithmetic and presents a technique to accelerate the time feeding in Tate pairing algorithm
Telugu Text Categorization using Language Models
Document categorization has become an emerging technique in the field of research due to the abundance of documents available in digital form. In this paper we propose language dependent and independent models applicable to categorization of Telugu documents. India is a multilingual country; a provision is made for each of the Indian states to choose their own authorized language for communicating at the state level for legitimate purpose. The availability of constantly increasing amount of textual data of various Indian regional languages in electronic form has accelerated. Hence, the Classification of text documents based on languages is crucial. Telugu is the third most spoken language in India and one of the fifteen most spoken language n the world. It is the official language of the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. A variant of k-nearest neighbors algorithm used for categorization process. The results obtained by the Comparisons of language dependent and independent models
Feature Extraction and Duplicate Detection for Text Mining: A Survey
Text mining, also known as Intelligent Text Analysis is an important research area. It is very difficult to focus on the most appropriate information due to the high dimensionality of data. Feature Extraction is one of the important techniques in data reduction to discover the most important features. Proce- ssing massive amount of data stored in a unstructured form is a challenging task. Several pre-processing methods and algo- rithms are needed to extract useful features from huge amount of data. The survey covers different text summarization, classi- fication, clustering methods to discover useful features and also discovering query facets which are multiple groups of words or phrases that explain and summarize the content covered by a query thereby reducing time taken by the user. Dealing with collection of text documents, it is also very important to filter out duplicate data. Once duplicates are deleted, it is recommended to replace the removed duplicates. Hence we also review the literature on duplicate detection and data fusion (remove and replace duplicates). The survey provides existing text mining techniques to extract relevant features, detect duplicates and to replace the duplicate data to get fine grained knowledge to the user
Securing Cluster Head Selection in Wireless Sensor Networks
Wireless Sensor network routing protocols are prone to various attacks as these protocols mainly provide the function of routing data towards the sink. LEACH is a one of the routing protocol used for clustered implementation of wireless sensor network with Received Signal Strength based dynamic selection of Cluster Heads. But, as with other routing protocols, LEACH is also prone to HELLO flood attack when the malicious sensor node becomes the Cluster Head. Cryptographic and non-cryptographic approaches to detect the presence of HELLO flood attack also exist but they lack efficiency in some way. In this paper, an efficient protocol is proposed for the detection and prevention of HELLO Flood attack in wireless sensor network. Cluster heads are vulnerable to various malicious attacks and this greatly affects the performance of the wireless sensor network. Cryptographic approaches to prevent this attack are not so helpful though some non-cryptographic methods to detect the HELLO Flood attack also exist but they are not too efficient as they result in large test packet overhead. In this paper, we propose HRSRP (Hello flood attack Resistant Secure Routing Protocol) extension to LEACH protocol so as to protect the cluster head against Hello flood attack. HRSRP is base on encryption using Armstrong number and decryption using AES algorithm to verify the identity of cluster head. The proposed technique is implemented in NS2, the experimental results clearly indicate the proposed technique has significant capability for the detection of hello flood attack launched for making the malicious node as the cluster head
