Set Theoretic Rajan Transform and its Properties

    Get PDF
In this paper we describe the formulation of a novel transform called Set Theoretic Rajan Transform STRT which is an extension of Rajan Transform RT RT is a coding morphism by which a number sequence integer rational real or complex of length equal to any power of two is transformed into a highly correlated number sequence of same length STRT was introduced by G Sathya In STRT RT is applied to a sequence of sets instead of sequences of numbers Here the union U is analogous to addition operation and symmetric difference is analogous to subtraction - This transform satisfies some interesting set theoretic properties like Cyclic Shift Invariance Dyadic Shift invariance Graphical Inverse Invariance This paper explains in detail about STRT and all of its set theoretic propertie

Robustness Algorithms for the Airport Gate Assignment Problem

    Get PDF
Assigning commercial flights to available airport gates can have a major impact on the efficiency of flight schedules as well as on the level of passenger satisfaction with the service. These assignments also depend on the service requirements of flights and the capacity of stand facilities. Unexpected changes also called perturbations, like those due to air traffic delays, severe weather conditions, or equipment failures, may disrupt the initial assignments and increase the difficulty of maintaining smooth operations, which will detrimentally affect costumer satisfaction. The provision of solutions which reduce the potential detrimental effect of perturbations in the stands already assigned on the day of operation is desirable and some approaches are presented here, and compare between them to help identify their performance and trends

Uncertainty and Congestion Elimination in 4G Network Call Admission Control using Interval Type-2 Intuitionistic Fuzzy Logic

    Get PDF
The management and control of the global growth and complex nature of wireless Fourth Generation (4G) Networks elicits the need for Call Admission Control (CAC). However, CAC faces the challenge of network congestion, thereby deteriorating the network Quality of Service (QoS) due to inherent imprecision and uncertainties in the QoS data which leads to difficulties in measuring some objective and constraints of QoS using crisp values. Previous researches have shown the strength of Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Logic System (IT2FLS) in coping adequately with linguistic uncertainties. Intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs) have indicated their ability to further reduce uncertainty by handling conflicting evaluation involving membership (M), nonmembership (NM) and hesitation. This paper applies the Interval Type-2 Intuitionistic Fuzzy Logic System (IT2IFLS) in solving CAC problem in order to achieve a better QoS in 4G Networks

Image Retrieval with Relational Semantic Indexing Color and Gray Images

    Get PDF
Due to the development of digital technology large number of image is available in web and personal database and it take more time to classify and organize them. In AIA assigns label to image content with this image is automatically classified and desired image can be retrieved. Image retrieval is the one of the growing research area. To retrieve image Text and content based methods used. In recent research focus on annotation based retrieval. Image annotation represents assigning keywords to image based on its contents and it use machine learning techniques. Using image content with more relevant keywords leads fast indexing and retrieval of image from large collection of image database. Many techniques have been proposed for the last decades and it gives some improvement in retrieval performance. In this proposed work Relational Semantic Indexing (RSI) based LQT technique reduces the search time and increase the retrieval performance. This proposed method includes segmentation, feature extraction, classification, and RSI based annotation steps. This proposed method compared against IAIA, and LSH algorithm

Utilisation Des TIC Et Performance Des IMF Au Cameroun

    Get PDF
The objective of this study is to analyze the effect of the adoption of ICT on the MFI performance in Cameroon. To achieve this objective, we used a hypothetic-deductive method. A questionnaire carried out amongst a sample of 107 MFI in Cameroon has permitted to collect data which were analyzed using SPSS 20 software. The results of ANOVA tests firstly show that MFI performance depends on their level of adoption of ICT, and secondly that the performance of MFI increases even more when the adoption of ICT is accompanied with organizational changes such as the training of employee on the use of ICT and the restructuring of the enterprise after adopting ICT

Sustainable Manufacturing: Application of Optimization to Textile Manufacturing Plants

    Get PDF
The main goal of manufacturing industry is to produce the end products on time with good quality and keep the resource wastage low. However, manufacturing industry face several challenges such as bottle necks in the workflow, unsynchronized production, and sudden increase in product demands. In this paper, we are proposing a management platform for textile manufacturing plants with following modules: (1) sewing workflow optimization (2) quality assurance workflow optimization and (3) finishing workflow optimizations. We have used Genetic Programming (GP) approach, to optimize the workflows, considering different factors that affect each workflow. Our results show that, using our proposed platform, the manufacturing workflows can be optimized and reduce the bottle necks in the workflows and resource wastage in the manufacturing plant

Factors Influencing Adoption of Cryptocurrency-Based Transaction from an Islamic Perspective

    Get PDF
This paper presents a user study of 201C;perception of the cryptocurrency-based transaction from the Islamic views201D;. The motivation lies with the fact that some users of cryptocurrency-based transaction raised concern on the nature of transactions with Bitcoin. Specifically, some argued that Bitcoin can be easily used for illegal purposes. Therefore, 201C;Technological Acceptance Model201D; was adopted and quantitative research methodology was utilized, to formulate and test some hypothesis that will lead to an establishment of a model. Sample of 306 participants was used in the study. The result of the hypothesis testing indicates that 201C;Behavioral Intention to Use Cryptocurrency from the Islamic perspective201D; is influenced directly by Shari2019;ah Compliance, Perceived Ease of Use, Emotionality, Perceived Usefulness, and Financial Concern. As evident from the analysis, Emotionality is influenced directly by Financial concern and Shari2019;ah Compliance. Whereas, Behavioral Intention is influenced indirectly by Financial Concern. The sample is general and does not specify a specific group of study. This study has contributed to understanding the Islamic issues behind the implementation of Cryptocurrency. This study adopted

The Review of using Unified BPM Cycle for Public Credit Recovery Activites

    Get PDF
Business Process Management (BPM) is a combination of Information Technology and management science, which applies to improve business process in order to improve operational excellence and business performances [1] leading to process automation. This review article based is on a case study in application of business governance in public sector organization, which was conducted by Abimael R. Do Nascimento, Roquemar de Lima Baldam, LourenE7;o Costa and Thalmo de Paiva Coelho Junior in 2018. The article analyzes the implementation of unified BPM in operational activities in a federal public advocacy body with evaluating corporate governance practices of the process. The study used mix method approach to gather data and to analyze them. Findings revealed the requirement of corporate governance practices, prioritizing BMP and auditing process

    Get PDF
A Mobile ad hoc network MANET is a type of network which consists of group of mobile nodes which are wireless and do not have fixed architecture The nodes act as a router and depict the nature of dynamism The three different classification of protocols in MANETS supports different applications But to support real time applications like voice signalling and video signalling we require the most efficient protocol that gives the QoS mechanism Voice and video signalling demand to know the performance of different metrics in the network such as end-to-end delay overall throughput of network and jitter of the network This paper works on identifying and analyzing the performance of various protocols like AODV DSR OLSR and TORA which would help in fulfilling the mentioned need Voice over Internet Protocol VoIP also known as IP telephony is a class of technologies used to deliver voice and multimedia sessions over internet protocol network
