    Get PDF
This article explores intelligence without data. More specifically, it reveals what the study of big data ignores in the trinity age of big data, analytics, and intelligence, and looks at DIKEW intelligence through presenting an integrated framework of intelligence. It then examines intelligence without data and wisdom algebra. It demonstrates that intelligence without data consists of information intelligence without data, knowledge intelligence without data, experience without data, intelligence without data, and wisdom intelligence without data, based on the hierarchy of wisdom. It argues that big data must incorporate intelligence without data to serve the world. At the same time, intelligence without data could enhance human intelligence, cognitive intelligence, machine intelligence, and business intelligence

Modeling on Body Delay Tolerant Network Sink Locality of Wireless Body Area Networks for Different Body Postures

    Get PDF
Due to the recent advancements in the field of wireless communication and Wireless Sensor Networks, the Wireless Body Area Networks (WBANs) have become an area of concern for researchers. In military operations, patient monitoring, sports field, among other wireless body area networks is used for real time monitoring and smart sensing for eHealth operations. In these WBAN, disconnections between the body sensors occur quite often and sometimes of significant duration due to the postural mobility nature of the human. These consequently affects the efficiency of the entire network hence the need for Delay Tolerant Network (DTN). The DTN minimizes delays and adapts itself to cope with long delays if they occur. One of the vital mechanisms that can be employed to enhance the efficiency of the network is to determine the optimal postural locality of the sink nod

BER Performance Analysis of OFDM, W-OFDM and F-OFDM for 5G Wireless Communications

    Get PDF
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a pertinent multi-carrier modulation approach that is more immune to frequency selective fading. In the 5G waveform, in order to reduce the traffic in OFDM based on technology, it is important to re-size the bandwidth. Consequently, a spectrally localized waveform technology called Filtered Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (F-OFDM), which is primarily an approach to sub-band based filtering is introduced. Windowed-OFDM (W-OFDM), which is basically a classical OFDM scheme where each symbol is windowed and overlapped in the time domain. Each of the different subbands can be processed according to the traffic scenario

VANGUARD: A Blockchain-Based Solution to Digital Piracy

    Get PDF
Online pirates and Intellectual Property (IP) holders have been in perpetual war over various products like music, movies, software, etc. since the popularity of the Internet. It is estimated that the US entertainment industry loses approximately 29 billion USD every year for pirates. Online piracy has since gone from bad to worse as growing internet users and better broadband connections enable people to share large files freely over the internet. The objective of this research is to investigate the causes and enablers for online piracy in movie industry and to come up with an anti-pirating solution. The primary outcome of the study will consist of a dedicated blockchain based anti-piracy system, 2018;Vanguard2019;. This system will provide all-round piracy protection from a built-in streaming service to a component to actively look through the internet for pirated movies and torrents. This system will greatly deter the piracy of movies since the IP holders can ensure their IP rights through this system and quickly act against illegitimate distribution of their media

Virtual classroom is a latest concept of learning platform. It provides an environment by incorporating internet technology where teachers, students, researchers and interested people can interact, collaborate, communicate and explain their thoughts and views in well organized, technical and pedagogical procedure. Regarding present global context, the virtual classrooms is a popular technology. Very reknown e-learning platforms are Blackboard, Schoology, Moodle (Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment), Canvas and google classroom. In this thesis, we propose an efficient model of virtual classroom to enhance the facility of current e-learning system. To develop the model of virtual classroom, the thesis integrates the policy of cloud computing with information fusion (IF) technique for providing a ubiquitous learning capacity from an e-learning platform. In our proposed model, Density Based Spatial Clustering of Application with Noise (DBSCAN) algorithm is used for separating different layers of data to reduce time complexity and enhance data security. Here we also demonstrate the complete architecture of cloud based e-learning process through our proposed virtual classroom

    Multi-Dimensional Rajan Transform

    Get PDF
In this paper, we describe the formulation of a novel transform called Multi-Dimensional Rajan Transform, which is an extension of Rajan Transform. Basically, Rajan Transform operates on a number sequence, whose length is a power of two. It transforms any sequence of arbitrary numbers into a sequence of interrelated numbers. As regards 2D Rajan Transform, there are two methods to implement it: (i) Row- Column method and (ii) Column-Row method. The 2D Rajan Transform obtained using the first method need not be the same as that obtained using second method. Similarly, one can implement 3-D Rajan Transform using the following approaches: (i) Row-Column-Depth approach, (ii) Row-Depth- Column approach, (iii) Column-Row-Depth approach, (iv) Column-Depth-Row approach, (v) Depth-Row-Column approach and (vi) Depth- Column-Row approach. This paper explains these approaches to implement two and three dimensional Rajan Transforms
