Optimising Sargable Conjunctive Predicate Queries in the Context of Big Data
With the continued increase in the volume of data, the volume dimension of big data has become a significant factor in estimating query time. When all other factors are held constant, query time increases as the volume of data increases and vice versa. To enhance query time, several techniques have come out of research efforts in this direction. One of such techniques is factorisation of query predicates. Factorisation has been used as a query optimization technique for the general class of predicates but has been found inapplicable to the subclass of sargable conjunctive equality predicates. Experiments performed exposed a peculiar nature of sargable conjunctive equality predicates based on which insight, the concatenated predicate model was formulated as capable of optimising sargable conjunctive equality predicates. Equations from research results were combined in a way that theorems describing the application and optimality of the concatenated predicate model were derived and proved
A Network Science-Based Approach for an Optimal Microservice Governance
With the introduction of microservice architecture for the development of software applications a new breed of tools platforms and development technologies emerged that enabled developers and system administrators to monitor orchestrate and deploy their containerized microservice applications more effectively and efficiently Among these vast arrays of technologies Kubernetes has become one such prominent technology widely popular due to its ability to deploy and orchestrate containerized microservices Nevertheless a common issue faced in such orchestration technologies is the employment of vast arrays of disjoint monitoring solutions that fail to portray a holistic perspective on the state of microservice deployments which in turn inhibit the creation of more optimized deployment policies In response to this issue this publication proposes the use of a network science-based approach to the creation of a microservice governance model that incorporates the use of dependency analysis load prediction centrality analysis and resilience evaluation to effectively construct a more holistic perspective on a given microservice deployment Furthermore through analysis of the factors mentioned above the research conducted then proceeds to create an optimized deployment strategy for the deployment with the aid of a developed optimization algorithm Analysis of results revealed the developed governance model aided through the utilization of the developed optimization algorithm proposed in this publication proved to be quite effective in the generation of optimized microservice deployment policie
Application of Convolutional Neural Network in the Segmentation and Classification of High-Resolution Remote Sensing Images
Numerous convolution neural networks increase accuracy of classification for remote sensing scene images at the expense of the models space and time sophistication This causes the model to run slowly and prevents the realization of a trade-off among model accuracy and running time The loss of deep characteristics as the network gets deeper makes it impossible to retrieve the key aspects with a sample double branching structure which is bad for classifying remote sensing scene photo
A Machine Learning-Based Model for Implementing the Cybersecurity for Organizations ‘Assets
Abstract In the current era cybersecurity problems are one of the critical problems that threaten the organizations assets since they may cause a big financial and moral loss and in the parallel the with the advent of the Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence techniques It is important and wise to use these technologies to help in achieving cybersecurity for organizations assets due to accurate work of these systems and saving time effort and cost So this research develops a model that uses machine learning technology to detect the vulnerability in the information security of the organizations assets to avoid as possible the lack of the information security in organizations assets and thus avoid the financial and moral loss that such organizations may fac
Seaweeds and its Applications: A Review
Kelp is one of the main living assets of the sea Despite their wide applications in food and feed businesses they have acquired significance as restorative sources due to their high mending antimicrobial and antioxidative properties As a rich wellspring of important compound parts ocean growth is utilized in different businesses like beauty care products Fuel water treatment and so on Being a plant of remarkable construction and biochemical arrangement ocean growth could be utilized profoundly for its multi-useful properties as food energy medication and beauty care products The dispersion properties and wide use of kelp are examined exhaustively in this pape
Investigating Digital Marketing Technologies Usage Extent In The Nigerian Telecommunications Industry: A Study from the Consumers Perspective
Digital communication technologies have become an important part of our daily lives with billions of users on the Internet and social media. This study examined the types of digital marketing technologies available in the telecommunications industry in Nigeria, and determined the extent of usage of the technologies. The study employed a survey method. The Cochran formula was used to calculate an ideal sample size since the total population size of online consumers is infinite. Based on this calculation 500 respondents were surveyed due to the researcher convenience, cost and accessibility to the respondents. Data were collected using both primary and secondary sources. An online well-structured designed questionnaire (Google survey) was attached via online platforms. The questionnaire elicited information on telecommunications service consumers characteristics, consumers knowledge on different digital marketing tools, and the extent of use of the digital marketing technologies among telecommunications consumers in Nigeria. The results showed that social media marketing 142 (29.3%) was the most commonly used digital marketing technology by telecommunications service consumer
Artificial Heart Neural Networks An Idea
Artificial Neural Networks Field (ANN Field) is an exciting field of research. ANN field took its inspiration from Human Brain. The heart and Brain are very important for the survival of Humans. Research Scientists published many articles by giving importance to Brain. But scientists have not yet explored much on the Heart which is another important part in addition to the Brain. The primary purpose of publishing this article is to show a path to ANN field Research Scientists by introducing the concept of Heart into Artificial Neural Networks. In this paper, we coined and defined Artificial Heart Neuron, which is the basic part of Artificial Heart Neural Networks Field (AHNN Field) in addition to Artificial Neuron. This work takes its inspiration from both Heart and Brain
Computer Generation of Fractals; Some Methods and Techniques
Fractals are objects, have the property of a system scale invariance or self-similarity. These objects are accursed in nature in the form of cost, hills, clouds, and waling act. These structures are need computer assistance for a generation. In this paper, the fractal dimensions were studied. Some methods and techniques are studied to simplify the Computer generation of fractals. Python programming is given to generate fractal graphics
Usage of Business Analytics and Supply Chain Performance An Empirical Study of Sri Lankan Aapparel Sector
Advances in technology and innovation require companies to embrace these new trends to compete and stay ahead in the business world. In particular, there is a need for companies to incorporate Business Analytics practices within their organizations. Business Analytics consists of two components: Information Systems and Business Process Orientation. This study aims to investigate the impact of the use of Business Analytics on the Supply Chain Performance in apparel companies in Sri Lanka. This research focuses on discussing the objectives developed to achieve the purpose of the study. To achieve this objective, this current study investigates the relationship between the Information System, Supply Chain Performance and the effect of the use of the Information System in the supply chains of Sri Lankan apparel companies. The study uses a quantitative approach. In this study, for quantitative analysis study performs regression analysis and decision tree analysis. This study identifies a positive relationship between the Information System and the Supply Chain Performance. For further future studies, it is advisable to extend this study by examining the performance of medium-and large-scale companies in the country
On the Propagation of Electric Pulse along an Axon
Considering longitudinal flow in the axon plasma and introducing the substantial derivative, a nonlinear differential equation describing signal propagation along with the axon fiber instead of the cable equation is established. In contrast to the cable equation, which gives solutions that distort the profile of the pulse, a nonlinear equation describes a traveling wave of an unchangeable profile. The speed of the electric pulse wave, w = 320a m/s, changes proportionally to the square root of the axon fiber radius, a
