Investigating validity and reliability of visual inspection of lateral cephalometric radiography (lcr) evaluation in determining dento-skeletal characteristics
Get PDFOver the past two decades, orthodontists have performed many studies on facial profiles and the results of these studies have emphasized the use of profile view to detect orthodontic malocclusions. Some studies consider lateral cephalometric radiography (LCR) as the best method to examine the profile view. It is about a century that lateral cephalometry was introduced and then used as a standard instrument for diagnosis and treatment of orthodontic treatment. Today, it is also necessary to use it in the orthodontic treatment. Cephalometric tracing or template method is used as the standard lateral cephalometric assessment method. Tracing is done because it reduces the amount of information on the film to a considerable extent and prepares cephalograms for subsequent analyzes. Despite the fact that LCR is already prescribed prior to orthodontic treatments in many European countries, very few orthodontic treatments are based on data from cephalometric analysis.The purpose of this study was to determine the validity and reliability of visual inspection of the LCR in determining dento- skeletal characteristics

Get PDFEl uso de las Tecnologías de la Información y las Comunicaciones (TIC) como herramienta informativa para los usuarios ha suscitado la automatización de los procesos de las bibliotecas y centros de documentación, dando paso al surgimiento de los Sistemas Integrados de Gestión Bibliotecaria (SIGB), herramientas tecnológicas que permiten automatizar las operaciones bibliotecarias. Dentro de los SIGB se encuentra Automatización de Bibliotecas y Centros de Documentación (ABCD) en su versión 1.2, el cual fue analizado por los especialistas del Centro de Informatización de la Gestión Documental (CIGED) de la Universidad de las Ciencias Informáticas (UCI) en conjunto con doctores y especialistas en Ciencia de la Información de diferentes provincias; quienes al detectar ciertas deficiencias del sistema concertaron la necesidad de implementar una versión superior, para de esta forma garantizar una mejor gestión de los procesos bibliotecarios involucrados.El presente trabajo refleja los aspectos tecnológicos relacionados con el proceso de implementación del sistema ABCD versión 3.0, dígase metodología de desarrollo de software, herramientas, tecnologías y lenguajes utilizados. Luego de un aval positivo del sistema por el Ministerio de Educación Superior (MES), se decidió su implantación en todas las universidades del país, elevándose así el valor socio-económico del sistema
The advantages of using multimedia cultural and linguistic environment in the process of teaching foreign languages
Get PDFThis article is devoted to the phenomenon of multimedia cultural-linguistic environment, as a factor of successful mastering of foreign language. The issues of creation of foreign communicative space, based on Internet resources, are considered in the article. The examples of information resources, with the help of which German-speaking cultural-linguistic environment can be created, are given in the work. In the organized cultural-linguistic environment, an active perception of information is realized. Performing the tasks, developed for audio and video records, students are in the state of intellectual stress, and the material is memorized arbitrary. The article analyzes the advantages of staying in multimedia cultural-linguistic environment. These are the use of several channels of socio-cultural information in the process of training, and the possibility of using various types of information (texts, audio and video materials of all styles and genres). It should be noted, that students independently immerse themselves in the modeled foreign reality. Due to this, they can implement metacognitive strategies in learning process. The possibilities of listening and watching the material at any time repeatedly, as well as the combination with other activities, are undeniable advantages of staying in the environment. This environment has a positive impact on the development of all types of speech activity. There are the incidental memorization of grammatical constructions, digestion of pronunciation norms, consolidation of lexical material, and contextual semantization of vocabulary. The article emphasizes the importance of creation the methodology for working with foreign-language media, based on the development of students”™ critical thinking, the ability to compare the positions of the parties, and proving of their own point of view. The authors conclude that multimedia environment can be considered as a factor, significantly increasing the effectiveness of learning the language and culture
Sistema de talleres para el desarrollo de competencias informacionales en profesionales de la salud
Get PDFSe realizó una intervención pedagógica, en la Facultad Tecnológica de la Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de Camagí¼ey, en el período comprendido de enero a diciembre de 2016 con el objetivo de implementar un sistema de talleres para el desarrollo de competencias informacionales en profesionales de la salud. Para ello se seleccionó una muestra aleatoria simple de 38 profesionales de la salud, a los cuales se les aplicó una encuesta una vez cursados seis talleres de superación orientados al desarrollo de competencias informacionales. Inicialmente predominó en los sujetos de investigación un bajo nivel de desarrollo de las habilidades para la búsqueda de información, acceder a la misma y satisfacer sus necesidades de información. Se evidenció un manejo adecuado de la información y la aplicación de conocimientos éticos referentes a su uso. Se comprobó que el sistema de talleres de corta duración constituye una vía idónea para el desarrollo de competencias informacionales en los profesionales de la salud
Ecolinguistics and prospects of anthropocentric research in linguistics
Get PDFThe article reviews the major directions of ecolinguistics that is one of the new paradigms in the linguistics of today. The peculiarities of studying of language as means of formation of harmonic environment of social interaction are dealt with. When estimating ecologically meaningful linguistic objects, it is suggested to distinguish two approaches: ecology of language and ecology of a human being. Each of the approaches is mediated by language factors salient in different statuses. The article deals with the approach for researching ecolinguistic problems from the position of the influence of language/text environment on human health and the principles of health safety. A human being of today who lives in the information society has unavoidably become an object of the influence of numerous phenomena of semiotic nature. Communication through natural language seems to be one of these phenomena. The findings by this approach will allow to balance several issues of human environment instability and extend the facilities of ecosystem by integration of special notions, methods and ways of linguistic analysis and giving them status of universal instruments for humanitarian tasks implementation

And improving quality properties will be caused to making better decisions by managers . for this mean in this research a sufficient try has been operated that ; in one side ;the effect of computer information accounting system will be marked and in other direction the effect of quality properties on the manager decisions will be marked. For doing this research, 124 numbers of questionnaire distributed between financial managers ,accountants and auditors of accounts supreme court and accountants of administrator of ALBORZ state .the results of this research shows that computer information accounting system increases the reliability of information and this in own rotate facilitates the matter of decision makings by managers
Interaction of different language cultures in teaching educational disciplines in foreign and native languages

This study shows that the native language of the learner does not always help to raise the required level of mastering this discipline. The Correlation Of In Dubio Pro Reo And In Dubio Pro Duriore Principles In The Criminal Proceedings Of Switzerland And Russia
Get PDFThe criminal process in bothSwitzerlandandRussiahas traditionally been related to a mixed type, which assumes that pre-trial stages are based on the inquisitional (investigative) beginning, and judicial - on the adversarial. At the same time, the purpose of legal proceedings, in the opinion of the majority of continental proceduralists, is to establish material truth. It is on its achievement directed investigative and other procedural actions. At the same time, the question inevitably arises about the nature, limits and logic of the cognitive activity of criminal justice bodies. In this regard, the author, on the basis of normative and doctrinal sources, including German, Swiss, Austrian, examines the procedural and legal principles in dubio pro reo (in doubt - in favour of the accused) and in dubio pro duriore (in doubt - according to the strictest version ) on the example of the Swiss and Russian law and order. It is shown that in the criminal justice of these states they balance among themselves and counterbalance each other. According to the European approach discussed in the article, the principle in dubio pro duriore in order to establish the material truth in pre-trial proceedings somewhat restricts, constricts the presumption of innocence. On the contrary, when considering a case in a court of first instance, the latter manifests its full force. In this article it is shown that in the domestic science the principle in dubio pro duriore has not yet been developed, but has become widespread in practice. In the Russian legal literature, the ratio of the principles in dubio pro reo and in dubio pro duriore has not been studied practically at present either in monographs or in other publications. This article will serve to eliminate and fill this gap
Las concepciones epistemológicas de un profesor investigador en Historia: El constructivismo como postura epistemológica
Get PDFEste artículo tiene como objetivo indagar las concepciones epistemológicas de un profesor investigador en historia de un instituto de investigación de una universidad pública mexicana, debido a que una de las metas de esta institución es formar recursos humanos competentes para realizar investigación histórica, capaces de utilizar las herramientas teórico-metodológicas para el estudio de procesos locales, regionales e internacionales. De tal forma que es importante conocer estas concepciones porque ello incidirá en la imagen futura de los estudiantes de posgrado y futuros investigadores sobre investigación en esta disciplina y no sabemos si la que se está socializando es la más adecuada. El método cualitativo es la investigación narrativa auxiliado de la entrevista a profundidad. Los resultados arrojaron diez categorías que describen las concepciones epistemológicas que conforman su práctica investigativa: Orígenes e influencias en la formación epistemológica, formación y desarrollo profesional, práctica investigativa y políticas institucionales, posición epistemológica, concepción del pasado, la observación en la historia, interpretación de las fuentes, la historia y otras disciplinas y la historia y los conceptos. Por último, concluimos que el profesor-investigador se concibe como constructivista, dando prioridad a la observación y a la historicidad de los conceptos, posición que le otorga seguridad y claridad paradigmática en su investigación empírica, pero que lamentablemente se descuida la investigación y creación teórica. Por último, deducimos que estos factores repercutirán en una práctica docente e investigativa bajo los supuestos de este paradigma epistemológico
Inteligencia emocional y liderazgo. Un debate no agotado
Get PDFEste artículo se propuso revisar el concepto de Inteligencia emocional y las dificultades inherentes a su medición. Para poder concretar el objetivo de este ensayo se realizó una revisión sobre los términos “emotional intelligence” “leadership” empleando Scopus. La revisión se extendió a los años 2000-2017. El empleo de Scopus garantizó el considerar revistas de alto impacto, pero sólo un análisis detallado de los contenidos priorizando aquellas referencias que se ocuparan en específico de medir el posible impacto de la Inteligencia emocional en el Liderazgo, fue lo que facilitó el poder obtener conclusiones válidas.La revisión de la literatura permitió interpretar que la capacidad de medición de la inteligencia emocional no está exenta de dificultades. Su efecto en la gestión empresarial puede estar condicionado por factores diversos y en ello radica la importancia que puede haber recibido en la literatura especializada. Se pudo comprobar la existencia de estudios que señalan limitaciones en cuanto a la medición de la inteligencia emocional y que el estudio de la relación entre esta y los tipos de liderazgo sea una problemática no agotada existiendo artículos que demuestran que existe una dependencia y otros que no soportan tal evidencia. La abundancia y el desarrollo de diferentes instrumentos para medir la inteligencia emocional, tanto autoinformados como basados en las medidas de desempeño, es un problema que hace muy difícil las comparaciones entre los estudios y, por supuesto cualquier tipo de meta análisis
