Learning from the Perspectives of Albert Bandura and Abdullah Nashih Ulwan: Implications Towards the 21st Century Education
A vast existing literature in educational research has been explored on Social Cognitive Theory (SCT) with the focus on addressing self-efficacy, self-regulation and social interactions in learning. This theory is used as a framework to predict behaviours and interventions. However, researchers have managed to comprehend and adopt the theory comprehensively with regards to all the factors involved specifically in the domain of pedagogical potentials in education and metaphysics. Thus, this paper has two-fold purposes. Firstly, this paper seeks to revisit the SCT from Islamic perspectives. Secondly, it attempts to propose a new pedagogical framework adapted from both theories for enhancing classroom teaching and learning. For this, the theoretical approach of Abdullah Nashih Ulwan has been compared and contrasted with an analytical approach by framing the references of the theory and the domain in education and well-being. Based on the analytic summary, this research has adopted comparative holistic visual representation by analyzing the SCT and Islamic perspectives. In consequence, a proposed learning model is given for a comprehensive view from both perspectives. The findings will advocate teachers and researchers when dealing with holistic human behaviour and personality development
Islam, Islamic Law and Constitution Making: International and Domestic Engagement in the Constitution-Making Process in Afghanistan
The making of the 2004 Constitution was a significant moment amidst the continuing conflicts in Afghanistan. It was an attempt to transform differences and conflicts into a shared agenda for the future of the country. The process of constitution-making in Afghanistan was marked by intense negotiations between the international community and actors, on the one hand, and domestic actors, on the other. The outcome would be called a “win-win solution”. This essay focuses on the making of the Islam-related clauses: How was the public participation? How has the negotiation been undertaken? What was the result and why? This essay is an attempt to answer those questions. It will argue that the process of constitution-making in Afghanistan particularly with regard to the Islam clauses is the acts of negotiations between different competing actors. The Constitution is the product of negotiations not only between international and domestic actors, but also between domestic actors. As evident in the making of the Islam clauses, these negotiations might be characterized as between puritan Islamist and more moderate Muslim actors.Keywords: constitution-making, Afghanistan, the 2004 Constitution, Islam clauses, Islamic
Efektivitas Pembelajaran Sejarah Kebudayaan Islam dengan Menggunakan Multimedia Autoplay di Kelas XI Madrasah Aliyah Kota Samarinda
The history of Islamic culture is one of the subjects that emphasizes more on historical stories. Multimedia autoplay is one of the media that helps SKI learning more interesting and innovative, not just to present conventional learning. This is in accordance with the development of the industrial revolution era 4.0. The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of learning outcomes of the history of Islamic culture by using multimedia autoplay in class XI Madrasah Aliyah Samarinda City. This type of research used in this research is quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest control group design. The population in this research were all Madrasah Aliyah, Samarinda City, East Kalimantan Province and the samples used in this research were two classes from three schools namely MAN 2 Samarinda, MA Terpadu Al Uswah, and MA Al Mujahidin with the purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques used are tests and documentation. The data analysis technique used is the t test with the prerequisites for normality tests using Kolmogorov Smirnov and homogeneity tests using Levene's. Judging from the average learning outcomes, the results of this research are that using Multimedia Autoplay is greater than the conventional method. Thus the used of Multimedia Autoplay is effective against learning outcomes of the history of Islamic culture in Madrasah Aliyah, Samarinda City
Pembelajaran Online Berbasis Media Google Formulir dalam Tanggap Work From Home Masa Pandemi Covid-19 di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 1 Paser
Google Forms works as a form of professionalism in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in making students keep learning. Preparation to work from home is anticipated with socialization activities using Google Forms as a first step to the success of the education process through online learning. This research was conducted online with data sources of 41 MIN 1 Paser educational community with data collection techniques through interviews, non-participant observation, and document studies. Using a qualitative approach in the form of case studies, data are collected interactively according to the Miles and Huberman models. The results show: MIN 1 Paser teachers during work from home are using Google Forms as an education room and assignment bag during online learning activities. Teacher professionalism is built to always be creative and innovate in the Google Form space. Present meaningful teaching with learning videos and quizzes that motivate students. Create a new cultural tradition of teaching from paper to online form sheets
Konstruksi Toleransi pada Akun Media Sosial Jaringan Gusdurian
The role of tolerance is very important amid issues of division and radicalism. The spread of information on radicalism and extremism was met with resistance by many social organizations. They counter the issues of extremism and radicalism spread in society with issues of tolerance. This study aims to determine how tolerance messages are constructed on social media, especially on the Instagram account of Jaringan Gusdurian. This research employs qualitative approach with Entmant framing analysis techniques. Findings reveal that tolerance is constructed as a key to peace and unity in Indonesia. The problem of intolerance is caused by extremism. The moral values that legitimize tolerance are friendly religious Islam, solidarity transcendental insight of the Indonesian people. While the solutions offered to solve the problem of tolerance are caring for diversity and implementing the values of Pancasila in everyday life.Keywords: Framing analysis, Instagram, social media, and tolerance
Implementasi Kurikulum Metode Ummi Kelas Tahfidz
Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk (1) Mengetahui konsep metode ummi dalam pembelajaran kelas tahfidz. (2) Bagaimana implementasi metode ummi dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran kelas tahfidz di Sekolah Menengah Atas Islam Bunga Bangsa Samarinda dan (3) Mengetahui kendala guru dalam pembelajaran metode ummi kelas tahfidz di SMA Islam Bunga Bangsa Samarinda. Menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi metode ummi dalam tahfidz Alquran. Teknik Pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan dokumentasi. Uji keabsahan data menggunakan trianggulasi dengan teknik pembandingan data yang diperoleh dari hasil tes, hasil interview dan hasil observasi kemudian dengan sumber yang berbeda. Hasil penelitian menggambarkan implementasi kurikulum metode ummi kelas tahfidz di SMA Islam Bunga Bangsa sudah terlaksana dengan baik meliputi perencanaan kurikulum, pelaksanaan tahfidz, penilaian tahfidz, dan pengawasan tahfidz. Ditambah dengan Faktor pendukung metode ummi kelas tahfidz di SMA Islam Bunga Bangsa Samarinda, meliputi dukungan dari sekolah dan yayasan, sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang berkualitas, sarana prasarana yang cukup representatif, dan pemberian motivasi guru tahfidz. Kemudian Faktor penghambat dari metode ummi kelas tahfidz di SMA Islam Bunga Bangsa Samarinda yaitu: Padatnya kegiatan siswa dan sekolah yang bersifat insidental, kurangnya motivasi siswa, dan kurangnya jumlah tatap muka. Turath literally means to inheritance. Turath is also a treasure trove of intellectual traditions inherited by previous scholars and experts (al-Qudama’). The book Turath is also known as the yellow book and is the work of previous scholars, whether there are still manuscripts or in print. The book of turath can actually be a media that connects the past and present to the future, turath can show a classic face but produce modern works. The turath book is an intellectual property that is rich in pithy thoughts and ideas, in which are stored pearls of pearls which are very expensive. Practices and behavior patterns of the ancient people so that they are able to become lights for today's people are very well presented. Because of that the book Turath can be a window to the present that will be able to provide concepts and ideas of the past in order to be an inspiration for the future
Literasi Matematika Siswa SMP IT Cordova Ditinjau dari Domain Konteks
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan literasi matematika siswa SMP IT Cordova ditinjau dari domain konteks, yaitu personal, occupational, societal dan scientific. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian dilakukan kepada 117 siswa kelas IX SMP IT Cordova pada tahun pembelajaran 2019/2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrument berupa 16 butir soal model PISA yang telah dikembangkan pada penelitian sebelumnya. Instrumen penelitian telah melalui validasi oleh expert judgement. Reliabilitas soal tergolong baik yaitu, 0,835. Soal model PISA terdistribusi merata pada keempat domain konteks. Data penelitian berupa jawaban siswa yang diberi skor berdasarkan rubrik penskoran, lalu dikonversi ke skala 0-100. Skor tersebut dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif lalu disajikan dalam bentuk tabel dan grafik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi matematika siswa SMP IT Cordova tergolong sedang. Berdasarkan domain konteks, literasi matematika SMP IT Cordova lebih dominan pada konteks scientific, yakni berada pada kategori tinggi. Sedangkan konteks occupational merupakan konteks yang paling rendah dikuasai oleh siswa SMP IT Cordova meskipun masih dalam kategori sedang
Reconstruction of Al-Qur'an Study Material in the Teaching Book of Al-Qur'an Hadis at the Madrasah Aliyah Level
This study aims to determine the limitations and direction of developing subject matter in textbooks used by educators in contextualizing teaching materials with the reality faced by students, as a solution to enrich the knowledge of the material that has been presented in textbooks. The principles that are used as the basis in developing the teaching material of the Koran are conformity, constancy, and adequacy. This study utilizes text sources to obtain descriptive exploratory research data. The primary source used is the al-Qur'an textbook of Hadith written by Lilis Fauziah and Andi Setiawan. Research results obtained; 1) The distribution of material in class X seems to have been coherent and gradual although there are still overlaps in the material as in KD 2 and KD 3, and in class XI and XII the material is delivered only by theme, so that it does not seem coherent and is only a theme selection; 2) The material taught is in accordance with the psychological of students and has been able to read the phenomena around it. But there is material that needs to be developed so that it makes more use of logic in thinking than just memorizing theory; 3) In terms of application of learning the cognitive level of learning has touched, but the affective and psychomotor sides have not; 4) discussion about differences of opinion among scholars is not discussed thoroughly, potentially confusing students. Error in preparing multiple choice questions and answers. Forms of development reconstruction offered by researchers include; 1) In terms of suitability (relevance) Subject with SK and KD; 2) in terms of consistency of learning material; 3) in terms of the adequacy of the material presented; 4) and in terms of the consequences of developing subject matter
