This study focuses on a comprehensive analysis of Greater Cincinnati growth with use of remote sensing techniques. The major data are free remote sensing data/products downloaded from domestic digital GIS data clearance warehouses. The change detection methods in the remote sensing field are used to detect the change pattern of Greater Cincinnati growth from various perspectives, such as changes in infrastructure, land use and population. The influence of hints on perceived learning

In Experiment 2, we provided the first letter of the target (e.g., m_____), the first two letters of the target (e.g., mu____), the last letter of the target (e.g., _____r), the last two letters of the target (e.g., ____er), or a test without hints. Stronger hints increased initial performance, but final test performance did not vary. Despite no differences, participants overwhelmingly endorsed the strongest hints (e.g., providing consonants) as being best for learning.https://youtu.be/1GkBwuIpet
Study abroad in Europe vs Africa

The problem will focus on why Africa is viewed as “a lesser” travel destination for study abroad student? It will generate insight about countries in Africa that generated a tourist industry (and thus a compelling case to bring study abroad students in). In addition, we will be discussing “Why Europe and not Africa?”. I will highlight my position by demonstrating is worth traveling to Africa to gain mental strength by being able to adapt in a new environment, gained positive value and show potential that Africa can offer way more to a student abroad using the tourist industry. I will show that Europe has always dominated the academy and people think they are going to learn more about “civilization” if they travel to Europe. This is a problematic mindset that we need to discuss and find out where the stereotype is coming from. In addition when we think about why study abroad in Africa the public are more tend to think about voluntourism or volunteer tourism and again, it creates a stigma that African nations need help, where European nations are seen as the important places to go for people who want to learn and be seen as well-rounded. VR Therapy Tool for Social Anxiety

I am looking into using virtual reality technology to help people with social anxiety practice social situations. My research asks whether video games can offer the realism of actual conversation. In order to practice communication in social situations, players must interact with people of various physical appearances and behaviors. Identification of the plant acp3U tRNA modifying enzyme using primer extension in yeast
No full text2020 Celebration of Student Research and Creativity presentationtRNA is required to synthesize proteins from mRNA, and posttranscriptional modifications are vital for making functional proteins. m2,2G, formed by TRM1, blocks base pairing, allowing for successful identification of the modification using fluorescent primer extension in yeast cells. This technique is being expanded to identify modifications in higher eukaryotes. Plant tRNALeu(AAG) and each of the predicted plant TRM1 genes have been individually transformed into trm1Δ yeast cells. Primer extension analysis demonstrated that two genes are responsible for the modification. Dr. Jeff Ward plans to incorporate functional programming as one of the programming paradigms of the Course. We compared three languages; Ocaml, Scala, and C++ to determine which would be in the best interest of the students of CSC 402 to be used as the language to learn functional programming. An interdisciplinary research approach using the disciplines of English, Psychology, and Library Informatics will integrate insights on the effects of low literacy which can be applied to implement possible solutions: eradicating ableism, legitimizing learning anxieties, and promoting inclusive environments.
