Determining Important Residues in THADA Responsible for the Methylation of Residue 32 in tRNAs

Modifications in or around the anticodon loop of tRNA aid in translation, while modifications in the body aid in its stability. Yeast Trm7 methyltransferase methylates residues 32 (C32) and 34 (N34) of tRNAs in yeast. Trm732 is a binding partner of Trm7 and must be bound for methylation of C32 to occur. THADA is the human ortholog of the yeast protein Trm732. THADA alleles are associated with type II diabetes and polycystic ovary syndrome. For many, especially the younger generation, the Punk movement of the 70s and 80s became a unique East German symbol of freedom, anti-establishmentism, self-expression, and resistance. However, the authoritarian state did not tolerate resistance or self-expression, harshly persecuting members of punk bands and civilians that dressed in punk clothing. Often, this conversation concerns men doing harm to women; however, this narrative does not capture or address the needs of individuals who fall outside of this norm. This study will examine student perceptions of sexual assault and intimate partner violence (IPV) on NKU’s campus, as well as individual perceptions of available resources and their efficacy. How can the Use of Stress-Relieving Practices with Nursing Students Prevent Future Burnout?
No full text2020 Celebration of Student Research and Creativity presentationThe purpose of this project is to discover how nursing students can manage their stress levels before entering a very physical, emotional, and mentally demanding career of nursing. First, nurses were researched on burnout and how hospitals have implemented different programs to help them. Next, these therapeutic techniques were utilized to see if they decrease the level of stress in second semester nursing students. Pre-survey results showed that 68.42% of students needed additional help with their current stress. The Dilemma of Highly Skilled U.S. English Teachers in Japan

These complications with acculturation can be detrimental to their career and even personal health. Many people aspire to live and work internationally, many of these issues are not exclusive to Japan or teaching English. This research investigates dilemmas specific to U.S. English teachers who work or have worked in Japan. Examining these dilemmas will help improve the quality of life for these teachers increasing the longevity of their careers in Japan.
Human Trafficking: Awareness and Preparedness on NKU’s Campus

Research suggests that helping professionals are ill-prepared to identify and assist human trafficking victims. This study examines whether NKU students have a basic awareness of human trafficking and whether they are prepared to identify and assist victims. A self-administered survey will be used to collect data. Expected results will show that students are not prepared to identify and assist victims. Developing a Mental Health Campaign for Campbell County Middle and High School Students

Suicide awareness and resources needs to be addressed for youth experiencing suicidal thoughts. This fall Campbell County Drug Free Alliance reached out to our class asking us to develop such a resource for Middle and High School Students. In order to increase mental health awareness and available resources we developed a health campaign postcard. A review of current research was conducted on different awareness methods and found that abundant resources are crucial when creating a health campaign relating to mental health discussion. Understanding how the resources influence teen suicide and suicidal thoughts was relevant in lessening the stigma surrounding mental health issues. In response our postcard consisted of a main message “Be the One” followed by local and national resources for teenagers struggling with mental and emotional health concerns. Over 5,000 postcards were printed and delivered to middle and high school students throughout Campbell county."https://youtu.be/harQg1a3E6
