When it comes to social work, I am looking at their home lives and the resources provided to them so they can succeed. With sociology, there are many areas to look at. To name a few, I will be looking at race/gender stereotypes, politics, and geographic location. As of right now, no one has access to an equal opportunity education. Using a literature review approach, existing studies on leadership and teacher effectiveness were explored to identify the impact, if any, of leadership type, teacher-to-teacher leadership, and administrative-to-teacher leadership. To find a solution, we must first find the problem. Why do women have a harder time making advancements? Using a scoping literature review, this study examines how a lack of confidence or self-esteem can affect these women. The impact of gender-stereotypic perception of occupations on evaluations of prestige, earnings and value of society.

The previous studies show the positive effects that mindfulness meditation has on individuals, particularly college students who are suffering from stress or anxiety. The purpose of this study is to examine the benefits of a mindfulness program at Northern Kentucky University. Fuel the Family – Honors College Capstone

This campaign was informed by various methods of communications research. Through social and traditional media, as well as an on-campus event, Fuel the Family has been crafted to align with the efforts of multiple existing NKU offices, as well as cultivate new actions for increased engagement of support services for parenting students. Consequences of Anxiety among NKU Students
No full text2020 Celebration of Student Research and Creativity presentationResearch suggests that there are many different consequences for students who experience anxiety. Northern Kentucky University currently has no data specific to anxiety or its consequences. The current IRB-approved study uses a brief survey to collect data on the consequences of anxiety among NKU students. Findings from the study are expected to show that students experience a variety of negative consequences as a result of their anxiety. These findings will highlight the need for additional mental health resources, as well as the need to increase students’ awareness and understanding of anxiety symptoms and how to properly manage those symptoms.https://youtu.be/pU9s38wVlL

Religious Affiliation and Sense of Belonging Among NKU Students
No full text2020 Celebration of Student Research and Creativity presentationAvailable research indicates that a sense of belonging has been linked to student's enhanced physical and mental wellbeing. This study explored sense of belonging through religious senses. Significant results were found. A majority of NKU students identified as Christians, and 69% reported lack of a sense of belonging. The findings of this study is similar to a 2015 campus wide survey, when students reported high negative perceptions of NKU’s commitment to building community and creating a sense of belonging on campus, especially among minority students. This suggests that more action needs to be taken to make NKU a more inclusive environment for all students, irrespective of their needs.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ArkOpiynp0
