Double standards allow casual sex for men to be acceptable yet unacceptable for women. Double standards can impact women’s ability to advance in society in terms of personal relationships, being denied promotions, and women’s abilities to enjoy the same casual sex benefits of men. Rise in College Tuition

Research shows that middle-class students are less likely to receive non-loan aid and more likely to take out higher loan amounts which can link to lower GPA’s. A brief self-administered survey will be used to assess for the academic well-being of NKU middle class students. The results from this IRB approved study are expected to show the negative impact higher loan amounts have on NKU’s middle-class students. The Relationship between Social Anxiety and Academic Performance Among NKU Students

This is alarming because approximately 12.1% of undergraduate students in the United States meet criteria for a social anxiety disorder. This study utilizes a self-report survey and examines social anxiety levels in NKU undergraduate students and the impact this can have on academic performance. This study expects to find that students with high social anxiety will perform lower academically than peers with low social anxiety. How Far Have You Looked Into Student Loan Debt

This has short-term and long-term implications for their finances. As such, it is becoming increasingly important for students to be financially literate. The current IRB-approved study uses a self-administered survey to examine how concerned and aware NKU students are with their student loan debt. The findings are expected to show that students are not very concerned or aware of their student loan debt. Identity and Access Management makes it so that users can be assigned specific permissions. Modeling Carter Caves with Structure-from-Motion Photogrammetry: 3-Dimensional Cave Survey

Nearly all aspects of karst science and cave management require a map of the system. Hand-drawn survey maps are time intensive and ultimately rely upon the sketcher’s experience. The photogrammetric technique known as Structure-from-Motion (SfM) will produce a high-resolution 3-dimensional model of the cave using multiple overlapping photographic images. X-Cave in Carter Caves State Park will be modeled using this method. SMIILE: Smart Module Integration for IoT Programming Logic and Environment

An IoT environment can include servers and web clients, sensors and relays, and gadgets like watches, phones, and refrigerators. This diversity means an IoT developer needs to employ multiple programming languages, tools, and configuration set-ups in the development of a single product. In order to help with this burden, we support an IoT programming model that allows developers to describe their application logic with configuration information as input files. Then the proposed compiler, called SMIILE, analyzes these input files to generate deployable code, configuration specifications, and other necessary information to guide IoT programmers building applications or services. Comparing Stress Levels of Students Who Participated In Paid And Unpaid Internships

The purpose of this study was to examine what kind of stress college students face. This study also examined whether there was a difference in stress levels between students who participated in a paid or unpaid internship. The results of this study were expected to find that students who participate in unpaid internships will experience more stress compared to those who do not, due to lack of financial resources.
