Designing of a Trajectory Control System for Wheelchairs with a Combination of Automatic and Manual Steering Methods
A wheelchair is a special form of Personal Mobility Vehicle (PMV) for people with disabilities to help them move safely to their desired location. However, unlike conventional PMVs, wheelchairs for people with disabilities when moving in places with heavy traffic will be difficult to control manually. This study focuses on the designing and feasibility testing of PMV's control systems for people with disabilities to meet safety and efficiency standards even in complex environments. First, the control structure model required for PMV is proposed. This is followed by the application of the combination between First In First Out (FIFO) and Dijkstra traffic control methods to determine effective trajectory for PMVs. After that, the proposed wheelchair trajectory control system is automatically tested on the campus of the University of Transport and Communications. The simulation results show that if the time of 10 PMVs is taken as the comparative time, when the number of PMVs is from 5 to 20, the order execution time of each PMV hardly changes much (no more than 10%), when the number of PMW increases to 25, 30, 35, 40, the order execution time of all vehicles increased from 35%, 55%, 103%, 119%. It is shown that the system can safely control a large number of PMVs at standards such as efficiency, safety, flexibility
Competence Framework-Based Assessment to Foster Sustainability Management
Urgent actions are needed both individually and collectively to reach the targets set by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by 2030. The complex issues of sustainability and climate change set the need for new skills and competences. Education systems worldwide need to integrate competence development into their agenda to achieve a sustainable transition. Higher education institutions have a crucial role in decreasing the gap between the graduated students' competences and the requirements of the labour market. In the pursuit of a workforce prepared for the complexities of the 21st-century workplace, this paper explores the interplay between European competence frameworks and transversal skills. Using a comparative analysis of four frameworks—DigComp, EntreComp, LifeComp, and GreenComp—we identify distinct features and cross-reference competences with transversal skills. As a result, media and information literacy emerges as a crucial transversal skill across all frameworks. This study offers valuable insights for strategic decision-making in talent development and organizational planning, aligning education with the dynamic demands of today’s society. The findings underscore the key role of transversal skills in preparing individuals for the 21st century labour market
Changing Consumer Preferences in the Prefabricated Housing Sector in Hungary: Construction Companies' Experiences and Statistical Data on Consumer Behaviour
The study aims to explore the consumer behaviour of prefabricated house owners, by analysing the insights of 12 managers of domestic construction companies in Hungary. These interviews reveal consumer behaviour and value considerations in purchasing decisions. The study’s strength lies in the relevance of the interviewed firms, representing 20.45% of production value in domestic single-family housing construction in 2022, according to the Central Statistical Office. Data from three housing-related censuses further complements the interview findings. Despite the ecological advantages of technology, the surveyed consumers are characterised as self-conscious, prioritising self-interest factors such as price, speed, predictability, reliability, and low maintenance costs in their choices. The research also indicates that consumer resistance to the concept of prefabricated housing is diminishing, something that is most likely to be due to generational shifts

From data literacy to artificial intelligence literacy: background and approaches
The objective of this study is to examine the characteristics of data literacy, which – on the long run – promises to become a fundamental component of artificial intelligence literacy (AI literacy). In addition to conducting a scoping review on the interrelated topics of data literacy and artificial intelligence literacy, we also draw upon our expertise in the field of data literacy and mention among others digital literacy, media literacy and their critical approaches.
In light of the considerable diversity of approaches and opinions, a significant portion of the extensive body of literature was subjected to careful examination, with a view to elucidating the nature and role of data literacy and AI literacy.
The issue of AI literacy is gaining increasing attention. It is therefore important to review its history and characteristics by examining the relationship between it and other forms of digital literacy, and in particular data literacy
Performance Evaluation of Wet Paving Concrete Incorporating Ternary Blends of Alluvial Tuff and Limestone Aggregates Using Simplex Centroid Mixture Method
Incorporating the blends of aggregates from local quarries is inevitable for sustainable construction of concrete structures. In the present study, the performance of wet paving concrete (WPC) made with ternary blends of alluvial tuff (AF.Agg) and crushed limestone aggregates (LSLQ and LSHQ) were investigated using the simplex centroid mixture method (SCMM). The performance of WPC including the compressive strength (fc), fracture energy (GC) in compression, durability factor (Df) after 300 freeze-thaw (FT) cycles in water, and the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) were measured according to the standard test procedures. A novel procedure was developed to measure the weight loss (WL) and water absorption (WA) of sawn cut prisms (SCPs) under the harsh exposure condition including 50 continuous salt-FT cycles with the high temperature gradient (−24 to +24 °C). The procedure was more destructive after a shorter exposure time. Non-linear correlations established between GC & WA with WL indicating the pivotal role of interfacial bond in the long-term durability of WPC. The direct relation between WL and WA confirmed the porosity evolution of concrete matrix under the harsh exposure. The meaningful correlations were found between CTE and the other responses implying that an increase in CTE due to the presence of altered siliceous-based minerals within the aggregates have led to the weak interfacial bond of aggregate-paste under mechanical loads and eventually the earlier pop-out of particles under the harsh exposure. The empirical models were developed with the significant predictability to estimate the optimal blending ratio without compromising the concrete performance
Az alkotó andragógiai lét : Az aktív-lét és a benne kialakuló alkotó-lét
For more than a century, the creators and developers of andragogy have been doing good service to all those who wish to find their way in the world and the affairs of the country, and to those who wish to keep their jobs through their professional training and further training, or to raise their professional activities to a higher level. The increasing number of studies devoted to the development and use of andragogy science more and more fully highlights the concept of andragogy and thus the need to further develop its practice. This effort is summarised in the summary work NETWORKS IN THE WORLD OF CULTURE AND ADULT EDUCATION (2020) published by Erika Juhász Lilla Pető, which includes the presentations of the Mátyás Durkó conference. As at previous conferences, however, the lectures, evaluations and debates at this conference discussed andragogy in a closer context with the sciences of psychology and sociology. This can be seen as preparation for the expansion of andragogy science. The dissertations prompted me to attempt in this paper to outline the foundations of the extended application of andragogy, as far as possible. A benne foglaltakat felhívásnak szánom további munkálatokra
A 2016-ban kidolgozott PBL központú finn nemzeti alaptanterv bemutatása
This paper presents the problem-based learning (PBL) method, highlighting its importance and effectiveness in developing students' competences. PBL is a method of learning in which students solve real-life problems in groups, thereby developing their language and social skills (Ali, 2019). The paper discusses in detail the key elements of PBL and their effects, including how it differs from traditional teaching. The analysis highlights how PBL is embedded in the Finnish education system, particularly in the new national core curriculum introduced in 2016. The core curriculum aims to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and competences, preparing them for the challenges of our ever-changing world (Lähdemäki, 2019). In addition, the core curriculum emphasises the importance of the individual learning path and values that are key in a 21st century society. The article also discusses in detail the role of digitalisation in education, with a particular focus on how it plays a role in the Finnish education system. The widespread use of digital tools and online platforms enables learners to acquire up-to-date knowledge and skills (Barber and King, 2016). In conclusion, the author stresses that in the Finnish education system, students and teachers are equal partners and that schools create an atmosphere that encourages learning and cooperation. The introduction of the new national core curriculum in 2016 has made it possible to initiate change, transforming the role of the teacher into a facilitating, mediating role, in line with the principles of PBL.Jelen publikáció a probléma alapú tanulás (PBL) módszerét mutatja be, kiemelve annak jelentőségét és hatékonyságát a tanulók kompetenciáinak fejlesztésében. A 2016-os új nemzeti alaptanterv bevezetése lehetővé tette a változás elindítását, átalakítva a tanár szerepét egy segítő, mediátor szereppé, ami összhangban áll a PBL alapelveivel
