    Liquid Drop Model for Investigating the Outer Crust of Neutron Star

    The properties of outer crust of cooling neutron star by using Liquid Drop Model approximation has been studied. This mass model is used to derive the properties of outer crust of neutron star matter such as total energy of system, equation of state (relationship between pressure and density), and composition of the outer crust. The properties of the outer crust are studied under the assumption that neutron star has created for long time and the matter in neutron star is in its ground state. The composition of the outer crust consists of ions Z arranged in a lattice and free electrons e, so that the total energy of the system consists of three contributions: the mass-energy of the nuclear, the energy of electrons and lattice. The equation of state (the relationship between pressure and density) shows that the pressure increases with increasing density in the outer crust layer. With a simple model based on liquid drop model, it is known that the outer crust is composed of nuclei which are at Z ≈ 20-50, with 56Fe core at the upper layer, and 154Cd core at the lowermost layer of the outer crust

    The buffalo egret (Bubulcus ibis) belongs to the Ciconiiformes order, family Ardeidae. The buffalo egret (Bubulcus ibis) is the smallest egret (about 50 cm). Its body is slimmer than Blekoksawah (Ardeolaspeciosa), although not as large as egrets. All feathers are white, but during the mating season the feathers on the head, neck, back and chest are yellow. Reproductive organs are the key to success in maintaining new offspring. Male reproductive organs will produce male sex cells or living spermatozoa. It is important to do research on anatomy and histology to determine the maturity of the reproductive organs of the bird. The purpose of this study was to determine the anatomical and histological structure of male reproductive organs of buffalo egrets (Bubulcus ibis). The method used for histology is the paraffin method with Hematoxylin-Eosin staining. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis for histological preparations. Anatomical observations include the color, shape and location of the reproductive organs, while histological observations of the structure of the reproductive organs using a microscope. The results of the study were anatomically pale-colored testicle. The location of the testicles is on ventral from the most cranial lobe. While the histological structure of the testis of the Buffalo Egret (Bubulcus ibis) consisted of spermatozoa, lumen, stereosilia, ephitelium of eididymis and seminiferous tubules

    The Antioxidant Properties of Black Garlic Aqueous Extract in Vero Cell Line

    Oxidative stress has been defined as harmful because oxygen free radical attack biological molecules such as lipids, proteins and DNA. Antioxidants are substances that can prevent or slow damage to cells caused by free radicals, unstable molecules that the body produces as a reaction to environmental and other pressures. Black garlic (BG) is one of the natural resources that has been reported to have antioxidant properties. The aims of this research was to study the potential and effect of BG as antioxidant in LPS induced Vero cells. The methods of this research were used the extraction of BG by maceration method using aqueous solvents, antioxidant activity tested using DPPH assay, cytotoxicity test with WST-1 assay on 96-well plate, and NO level measurement using Griess reagent, after cells induced with LPS. The result showed that in DPPH assays BG showed ability for scavenging free radical activities. The BG aqueous extract did not show cytotoxicity on Vero cells until the concentration of 750µg/ml and NO levels decreased in cells treated with a concentration of 50 µg/mL after LPS induction. This study concluded that the administration of aqueous extract of Black Garlic has the potential as an antioxidant

    Awal tahun 2020 dunia digemparkan dengan adanya wabah yang disebabkan virus Corona yaitu COVID-19. Sejarah menyebutkan bahwa ternyata wabah ini bukanlah wabah yang pertama kali menyerang manusia. Sebelumnya telah ada Black Death, Flu Spanyol, Ebola dan rentetan wabah yang disebabkan oleh virus Corona yakni SARS dan MERS. Wabah pada masa terdahulu ternyata telah disebutkan didalam Al-Qur’an yang tersebar dalam beberapa ayat yaitu membahas mengenai wabah Sampar, Lintah air dan Virus Cacar. Selain itu Pada masa Rasulullah dan khalifah Umar terjadi wabah yang menyerang umat islam yaitu wabah Lepra dan Pes, hingga terdapat hadits yang menjelaskan bagaimana cara umat islam menangani wabah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode library research untuk mendapatkan data-data tertulis dan menggunakan pendekatan Teologis-Filosofis yang hasilnya akan dibandingkan secara komparatif. Hasilnya memperlihatkan adanya korelasi yang sangat erat antara data ilmiah mengenai cara penanganan wabah dengan keterangan hadits dan yang dilakukan oleh Rasulullah serta khalifah Umar saat menangani wabah. Penanganan dapat dilakukan dengan menjaga jarak, melakukan karantina mandiri maupun wilayah dan tidak mendatangi tempat yang sedang terkena wabah serta tidak keluar dari tempat wabah jika berada di wilayah tersebut

    AIDS merupakan penyakit yang disebabkan oleh HIV. Hingga saat ini, penyakit ini belum ditemukan vaksinnya,sementara jumlah kasusnya masih tinggi. Data yang dirilis UNAIDS menyebutkan bahwa sebanyak 37,9 juta orang di duniahidup dengan HIV serta 770.000 orang meninggal dunia akibat virus tersebut. AIDS merupakan suatu penyakit yang belumdiketahui obatnya, sehingga langkah utama yang dapat dilakukan agar terhindar darinya adalah dengan upaya preventif.Diantaranya yaitu dapat dicegah dengan menghindari berbagai larangan tertentu seperti melakukan seks bebas yang dalamIslam disebut dengan zina, serta berbagai upaya lainnya yang dianjurkan dalam perspektif sains. Jika upaya dari keduanyadikolaborasikan, maka harapannya penyakit AIDS di Indonesia dapat dikurangi, sehingga Indonesia mampu menjadi negarayang bebas HIV/AIDS pada tahun 2030. Maka dari itu, ditulislah karya tulis ini dengan tujuan agar dapat diketahui peranIslam dan Sains dalam upaya mencegah penularan HIV/AIDS. Penulisan karya tulis ini menggunakan jenis penulisaneksploratif yang bersifat kualitatif-deskriptif dan bercorak pure research. Hasil dari kajian yang dilakukan memberikansimpulan bahwa Islam dan Sains telah berkolaborasi untuk melakukan upaya pencegahan HIV/AIDS, meskipun belumditemukan penelitian yang menyatakan bahwa kolaborasi keduanya efektif dalam menurunkan angka persebaran HIV/AIDS

    Pertumbuhan dan pengembangan pendidikan di tingkat perguruan tinggi terus berjalan cepat seiring dengan perkembangan pengalaman manusia menyelesaikan berbagai permasalahan kehidupan yang dihadapinya di muka bumi. Apa yang sekarang  disebut dengan Universitas Kelas Dunia (World Class University), juga Universitas Riset (Research University)  menjadi topik pembicaraan hangat di lingkungan sivitas akademika perguruan tinggi, pemerintah dan masyarakat pemerhati pendidikan. Media cetak dan media sosial  seringkali menampilkan peringkat universitas dunia yang dibuat oleh Times Higher Education World University, Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Council of Taiwan (HEEACT), Webometrics dan masih banyak yang lain. Artikel ini membahas pendekatan multidisiplin, interdisiplin, dant transdisiplin dalam perspektif ilmu pengetahuan dan riset pada perguruan tinggi. Pendekatan inter, multi dan transdisiplin memastikan permasalahan dapat didekati secara komprehensif sehingga solusi lebih jitu dan handal dapat diupayakan oleh siapa pun yang berkepentingan, baik pemerintah, dunia industri, dunia swasta maupun masyarakat luas pengguna jasa ilmu pengetahuan. Triple Helix, kerjasama  segitiga, antara pemerintah, perguruan tinggi dan dunia industri sangat dinantikan oleh masyarakat luas untuk menyongsong hadirnya peradaban keilmuan di tanah air menuju peringkat  universitas kelas dunia dan universitas riset bergengsi di dunia pada tahun 2045

    Prediction for canceled booking hotels is an important part of hotel revenue management systems in the modern era. Because the predicted result can be used for the optimization of hotel performance. The application of machine learning will be very helpful for predicting canceled booking hotels because machine learning can process complex data. In this research, the proposed methods are Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and Logistic Regression. Later it will be done five times experiments with hyperparameter tuning to see which method is the most optimal to do prediction canceled booking hotel. From five times experiments, experiments number five (logistic regression with GridSearchCV) is the most optimal for predicting canceled booking hotels, with 79.77% accuracy, 85.86% precision, and 55.07% recall

    The aspect of the internet that needs to be considered a security is the login system. The login system usually uses a username and password as an authentication method because it is easy to implement. However, data in the form of usernames and passwords are very vulnerable to theft, so it is necessary to increase the security of the login system. The purpose of this research is to investigate the security of the system. Whether the system is good at protecting user data or not, minimizing execution errors from the system and minimizing risk errors on the system so that the login system can be used safely. This research is conducted to test the system security with Burp Suite on the login system that has been built. Testing the security of this system by experimenting with POST data which is secured using blockchain technology makes the data sent in the form of hash blocks safer and more confidential so that the system is safer than before. Blockchain technology has successfully secured usernames and passwords from broken authentication attacks. By using the Burp Suite testing system, login is more specific in conducting security testing

    Rancang Bangun Prototype Single Electrode EEG Berbasis Arduino Uno

    Research on electroencephalography (EEG) design as a detector of brain signal activity in the frontal lobe based on Arduino Uno has been completed. EEG is a tool used to record electrical activity in the human brain. This research aims to make a non-clinical EEG device that is portable and low-cost. The research procedure is divided into three stages. The first stage is to design an EEG system using the Eagle application. The second stage is to create an EEG system which consists of the primary circuit of the EEG system, power supply, Arduino Uno, and two electrodes. The third stage is testing the EEG system, which includes testing the instrumentation amplifier, low pass filter, power supply, Arduino ADC consistency, and initial testing of EEG performance to record brain signals. The instrumentation gain is 51 times based on the test with an average accuracy rate of 99.09%. Meanwhile, the cut-off frequency obtained is 70 Hz. The comparison between brain signal measurements using a single electrode prototype EEG and standard EEG Emotiv Epoc with electrode placement at points Fp1 and A2 (ground) show almost the same pattern. So it can be said that the single EEG system created has been successfully used to record brain activity in the frontal lobe area

    A supply chain consists of the flow of products and services from raw materials manufacturers, component and intermediate manufacturers, final product manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors and retailers. All are connected by transportation, storage activities, and integrated through information, planning, and integration activities. Many large firms are moving away from in-house Vertically Integrated structures to Supply Chain Management. Supply Chain are the planning and management of all activities involved in sourcing and procurement, conversion, and all logistics management activities. It also includes coordination with channel partners, which can be suppliers, intermediaries, third party service providers, and customers. Supply chain management is the design of seamless value added processes across organization boundaries to meet the real needs of the end customer. Failure to proactively design a SC results in poor coordination of effort, incompatible information systems, long cycle times, communication problems, customer service issues, excessive waste and environmental degradation, relatively high inventories for the level of customer service achieved, and lower the optimal profit. A process map is a graphic representation of the system and contains a sequence of steps that are performed to produce some desired output. The primary goal behind process mapping is to make complex systems visible. The logistics/supply chain design and technology decision is of great strategic importance to logistics, the firm as a whole, and the supply chain. A number of factors may suggest the need to design the logistics/supply chain. A formal, structured process for design and digital tools is preferable; the potential impacts on cost and service justify a significant effort toward following a sound process. Numerous factors including technology may affect the design of a logistics and supply chain and the location of specific facilities within the context of the network
