Analysis of the Role of Mental Health Education in the Development of Vocational College Students
Get PDFAs a crucial pathway for cultivating applied talents, vocational education directly impacts socioeconomic development and industrial upgrading through its educational quality. In recent years, mental health issues among vocational students have become increasingly prominent, emerging as a key factor hindering their professional development. This study systematically analyzes the role of mental health education in promoting vocational students 'career cognition, social adaptation, stress resilience, and lifelong development, grounded in positive psychology theory and integrating domestic and international research findings from the past five years. The research demonstrates that scientifically structured mental health education significantly enhances vocational students' self-efficacy, career identity, and social adaptability, thereby establishing a solid psychological foundation for their professional growth
Practice and Innovation in Laboratory Management for Industrial Robots Under the Modern Industrial College Model
Get PDFTo promote the effective application of industrial robot technology in integrated engineering teaching methods within universities, this study analyzes the background of modern industrial colleges deepening industry-education integration and advancing collaborative education. Using the KUKA industrial robot laboratory as a platform, a practical teaching model of " PDCA cycle with flipped classroom" is proposed. Through innovative approaches such as safety management system optimization and digital twin applications, after four years of teaching practice, the industrial robot laboratory has maintained high-quality experimental and practical training courses even under high operational loads. This management model can serve as an important reference for laboratory management in modern industrial colleges
Linguistic Markers of Motivation in Pakistani Higher Education: A Mixed-Methods Psycholinguistic Study of Intrinsic and Extrinsic Orientation
Get PDFThis mixed-methods study explores the intrinsic and extrinsic motivations of undergraduate students in a public-sector university in Karachi, Pakistan. Grounded in Self-Determination Theory (SDT), this study investigates the influence of internal and external motivational factors on student engagement and academic performance. Quantitative data were collected from 120 students using validated scales that measured intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation, and belief in motivation, with GPA serving as an indicator of academic performance. Qualitative data were gathered through semi-structured interviews with 20 students and analysed using Braun and Clarke's six-phase thematic analysis. Three major motivational patterns emerged: intrinsic, extrinsic, and mixed/conflicted motivation. Students driven by intrinsic factors emphasised autonomy, mastery, and curiosity. In contrast, extrinsically motivated students revealed pressures from family, fear of failure, and a desire for rewards. A third group demonstrated mixed motivation, torn between personal interest and social expectations — a dynamic shaped by Pakistan's collectivist educational culture. Cronbach's alpha results showed high reliability for all measurement scales (α > .85). Integration of linguistic cues in the qualitative data further revealed distinct language patterns used by each motivational group. The study's findings have implications for higher education policy, suggesting that motivation-enhancing interventions must be culturally informed and student-centred. Emphasising autonomy and reducing externally imposed pressure may improve long-term academic outcomes.

Enhancing Tobacco Control Policies Among Youth and College Students: Limitations and Future Directions
Get PDFTobacco use is still a serious issue among youth and college students in the United States. Although the government, especially the Department of Health and Human Services, has made efforts through policies like taxation, smoke-free laws, and advertising bans, these methods have not been effective enough. This paper discusses the main problems of each policy: the tax rate is not high enough to stop students from buying cigarettes, smoke-free policies are not fully enforced especially in outdoor areas, and advertising bans are not strict or complete. To improve the situation, the paper suggests raising the tax on cigarettes nationwide, making all college campuses completely smoke-free (both indoors and outdoors), and banning all forms of tobacco advertising and promotion. These changes could help lower the smoking rate among youth and college students, protect their health, and reduce future harm. Though these contributions may seem small at first, they are necessary steps toward solving a long-term public health problem

Get PDFThis paper explores how individuals are perpetually interconnected through both subjective and objective dimensions, as illustrated in Jeanette Winterson’s The PowerBook and Ali Smith’s Hotel World. By employing a non-linear narrative structure, both novels present fragmented yet interwoven stories that highlight the inescapable ties between individuals and society. Drawing on Lacan’s concept of the “Other,” the analysis demonstrates that social and historical contexts objectively bind individuals within a symbolic order, while media, memory, and emotional experiences subjectively reinforce these connections. The paper argues that whether through external social forces or internal emotional drives, individuals consistently function as both protagonists in their own narratives and supporting characters in the lives of others. Ultimately, the study concludes that human existence is fundamentally communal, sustained through continuous interaction between the self and the Other

The study finds that the textbook has sufficient exercise quantity, rich exercise styles and comprehensive coverage of language elements, which conforms to the teaching principle of "explaining concisely and practicing more". At the same time, the exercise arrangement follows the cognitive law from easy to difficult and from controlled to open, which can effectively promote learners’ mastery of professional Chinese for traditional Chinese medicine

The Impact of County-Level Government Fiscal Expenditure on Rural Common Prosperity
Get PDFCommon prosperity, as a core value pursuit of the socialist theoretical system with Chinese characteristics, profoundly reflects the essential attributes and distinctive features of Chinese modernization. Among these, effectively narrowing the urban-rural income gap is a critical pathway to achieving common prosperity. Scientific and rational fiscal expenditure policies, serving as an important tool for adjusting national income distribution and promoting social equity and justice, play an indispensable role in advancing common prosperity. Based on county-level panel data from China between 2000 and 2023, this study constructs a two-way fixed-effects econometric model to empirically analyze the impact of government fiscal expenditure on rural common prosperity. The findings indicate that government fiscal expenditure significantly enhances rural common prosperity, a conclusion supported by robustness tests including alternative econometric methods, lagged treatment, and winsorization. Heterogeneity analysis reveals that the fiscal expenditure elasticity in less-developed regions is significantly higher than in developed regions, and the fiscal expenditure coefficient in high-transfer regions is markedly greater than in low-transfer regions, aligning with the law of diminishing marginal utility and the Lewis dual-sector model. Mechanism analysis demonstrates that government fiscal expenditure boosts common prosperity by promoting capital deepening (i.e., stimulating fixed-asset investment) and by driving the primary and secondary industries, exhibiting partial mediating effects

However, now it becomes an active participant at all processes throughout a film. from writing the script to directing, from casting to visual effects and engaging the audience ai has gone from merely assisting, to being a part of the creative process, and in some cases even leading it. This paper examines how AI is transforming the film process and focuses on the shift for AI as more of a subject and less of an object by becoming semi-autonomous with creative collaborations. And then we look at actual applications like A.I generated scripts, machine learning based visual enhancements, virtual actors, and prediction analytics for marketing Also, we think about the philosophy and morals around an AI being involved in something usually made by humans. To give a broad sense of how the rising power of AI is altering the forces of authorship, creation, and efficiency in filmmaking arts. Conclude the study with reflections on how AI will impact filmmaking in the future. And also give advice to human filmmakers on how to cooperate with AI collaboratively
