Proposal for a Community Survey Learning without Fieldwork for All Pupils in High School ‘Compulsory Geography’ Education: In the case of ‘Survey of the Nishi-Awa Area and Community Prospects’
Get PDF本稿は，高等学校地理教育の地域調査学習におけるフィールドワークの実施率低下を受けて，「令和の日本型学校教育」の答申にもとづき，生徒全員がフィールドワークに赴くことのない形での単元計画を提案する。高等学校における「地理総合」は，課程編成において地域調査学習を学習の集大成と位置づけている。そのため，「地理的な見方・考え方」を働かせた課題解決のために組織されるものとなる。そこで，筆者らは，徳島県立脇町高等学校の生徒向けに，地元の「にし阿波地域」を対象として，持続可能な地域の在り方を考えさせる単元を計画し実践した。その結果，フィールドワークの参加者と不参加者との間で，ゲストティーチャーの講義を仲介として，一定の情報共有が為されたことが確認できた。一方で，単元を通した地理的な見方・考え方の発展や，地理的技能の習熟度の見取りに課題を残した。In this paper, the authors propose a unit plan in which not all students go on fieldwork, based on the report ‘Japanese-style school education in Reiwa’, in response to the declining rate of fieldwork in community survey learning in secondary geography education. The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology has positioned community survey learning as a summative part of the curriculum making of ‘Chiri-Sougou’ in upper secondary schools. Therefore, it is organised to solve problems in society by utilising ‘geographical perspectives and thinkings’. The authors planned and implemented a unit for pupils at Tokushima Prefectural Wakimachi High School to think about how a sustainable community should be, using the local Nishi-Awa area as a target. As a result, the authors could confirm that a certain amount of information was shared between the participants and non-participants of the fieldwork, mediated by the guest teacher's lectures. On the other hand, challenges remained in identifying the development of ‘geographical perspectives and thinkings’ throughout the unit and in identifying the level of proficiency in geographical skills.departmental bulletin pape
The Roles and Perceptions of Early Childhood Educators in City X
Get PDFこの研究は，X市の公立幼稚園・こども園の職員に対する質問紙調査の結果についてまとめたものである。質問は「日々の保育で気をつけていることについて」「よりよい保育･教育の実現のために園等に求めることについて」「保育・幼児教育の研修に参加するうえで重視していることについて」の３部構成の36項目で，５段階及び４段階で回答を求めた。また，「保育者の役職」と「保育キャリア」の，２つの視点から結果を分析し，より深く保育者の意識や現状，求めていることについて探った。その結果，管理職は子どもの主体性や教師の意図的・計画的な指導やマネジメントスキルの向上についての意識が高い傾向にあった。担任は子どもの表情の変化に注視し笑顔で過ごしているか気に掛けることに意識が比較的低く，研修では講師よりも自己課題に合った内容を重視していることが分かった。This study summaries the results of a questionnaire survey conducted among staff members, including principals and temporary teachers, at public kindergartens and certified childcare centers in City X in Japan. The questionnaire comprised 36 items across three sections: (1) “What do you pay attention to in daily childcare”; (2) “What do you expect from your institution to realize better childcare and education”; and (3) “What do you consider important when participating in a training program on childcare and early childhood education.” Responses were collected using five-point and four-point Likert scales. The results were analyzed from two perspectives, “Position of early childhood educators” and “Length of career in childcare,” to delve deeper into educators’ perceptions, current situation, and needs. The findings revealed that managerial staff exhibited higher levels of awareness in areas fundamental to early childhood education such as children’s autonomy and teachers’ intentional and planned guidance. They also showed a strong inclination toward enhancing their own management skills. Class teachers demonstrated lower levels of awareness to changes in children’s facial expressions and whether children were spending their time happily. Regarding training, participants placed greater importance on content that aligned with their personal challenges rather than on who the lecturer was.departmental bulletin pape

Get PDF本研究は，ボリビアの脱家父長制教育について，教育省が出版した「脱家父長制のためのガイド」の内容に関連し，女性教師がどのように脱家父長制そのものを認識し，どのような教育実践を考えているか，そしてその根底となる価値観はどのようなものかを明らかにすることを目的としている．本研究では，Goodlad et al.（1979）が提唱したカリキュラムの多層性の中でも特に3）認知的カリキュラムについて焦点を当て，何らかの脱家父長制教育に係る実践をしていればさらに4）実践的カリキュラムについて焦点を当て，マリアニスモの構成要素のうち「自己犠牲性」「献身性」にフォーカスしたインタビュー調査をした結果，回答者である女性教師は，「自己犠牲性」や「献身性」を女性一般に求められることを認め，無意識に家庭内において家父長制を下支えしている可能性が示唆された．脱家父長制教育の実施状況についても，同ガイドに基づいた授業を実施したと述べた教師は，全回答者のうち1 名しかいないことが分かった．departmental bulletin pape
The Actual Condition and the Factor of Increase Teacher’s Turnover in Nicaragua
Get PDFニカラグアでは，進級条件を満たせずに学習意欲を失い，学校を辞めていく学習者の問題を解決するため，2023 年1 月より新たな評価制度が導入された．新学習評価では，学習者の実態に合わせた柔軟な評価が行われ，あらゆる理由により進級条件を満たすことのできない学習者を進級させるための評価をすることになった一方，これにより教員の業務負担が大幅に増加したことで，ニカラグアの教育現場は教員不足に直面している．本研究では，新学習評価制度の詳細を明らかにしつつ，教員の負担増加に関して，実際の教員のインタビューを基に調査を実施した．調査の結果，教員不足の要因は，教員の業務負担が増加したことに加えて，国内の情勢不安や低賃金の問題が複雑に絡み合っている実態が明らかになった．departmental bulletin pape
Learning from picture book reading activities: ‘Sutekina-Ohanashi-Todoketai’, an interaction project between children and university students
Get PDFIn this study, we report on the results of a collaborative project between a special needs school for the visually impaired, a special needs school for the hearing impaired, and a college of education. Students from Naruto University of Education, a teacher training college, took the lead in reading picture books to children enrolled in special needs schools. The university students worked on ways to convey the contents and enjoyment of the picture books to the children, such as using sign language and creating concrete objects appropriate to the content of the picture books. A survey of the students revealed that they had little experience interacting with children with visual or hearing impairments before participating in this activity. It was also shown that reading picture books to children brought joy to the students, and to motivate them to improve the way they read to children and to improve their own communication skills.departmental bulletin pape
Potential for Audience Participation in Concerts Using Experimental Musical Instruments: Case of a Concert at a Child Development Support and After-school Day Service Center
Get PDFThis study investigates the possibility of a new form of participative concert based on the concept of “musicking.” It involves the active participation of the audience, interactions between musicians and the audience or between audience members, and the effect of an experimental musical instrument created by the author to stimulate interactions in the audience. The concept of musicking(Small 2011) focuses on how people interact with music and how they form social and cultural contexts by interacting with music, things, and one another. The author believes that this concept can help develop a new model of participative concerts(Kusaka et al.2023). The study examines a case in which the author and a pianist played “Mushi no Koe,” a collective song approved by the Ministry of Education, as well as Serori Haruhata’s arrangement “Mushi no Koe Hakurankai,” in a 45-minute concert held at a child development support and after school day facility in T city, Tokyo, on October 7, 2023. This case shows diverse musical expressions of the audience that were stimulated by interactions with music or with others. The use of the experimental musical instrument helped students express themselves in scenarios in musicians’ playing which musicians found it challenging to express their specific intentions through words and actions. The experimental musical instrument could be played by only two members of the audience at a time. Future research should consider ways to promote the dynamics and diversity of audience performances and enable simultaneous interaction between several members of the audience.departmental bulletin pape
