An Essay on Hometown Associations (HTAs)and Social Landscape Analysis among Mexican Immigrants in the United States
Get PDFThe Mexican Hometown Associations （HTAs）, gradually formed by Mexican immigrants since the mid-twentieth century, foster ties between the United States and their homelands in coordination with the economic, cultural, and labor activities of immigrants. Although the primary role of HTAs is in collective remittances to hometowns and social welfare activities, much of the research on HTAs has focused on their role as remittance development agents. This paper provides an overview of HTAs and examine on their role in cultural economic activities. In addition, I will review papers, articles, and media surveys on how the Mexican culture of their hometown has been reproduced in the United States. Finally, I summarize the direction of analysis of the social landscape created by Mexican immigrants.departmental bulletin pape
Quality Characteristics of Hamburgers Devoid of Three Major Food Allergens
Get PDFWe examined different ingredients for making hamburgers devoid of three major food allergens but of equal quality to regular hamburgers. Aside from replacing the chicken eggs and milk with mountain potato flour and soymilk, respectively, 3 alternatives for bread crumbs（ viz., rice crackers （arare）, corn flakes, and tremella fuciformis）were used to produce 3 kinds of allergy-friendly hamburgers. The quality parameters measured were shape measurement, moisture content, surface color measurement, and hardness measurement, and a sensory evaluation.
All the samples produced exhibited significant differences among one another in terms of their weight and percentage weight loss measurements, with corn flakes providing the best prevention of moisture（ meat juice）and fat efflux among the allergen removal hamburger. The hamburger containing tremella fuciformis had the highest water content, and its grilled color was slightly lighter than that of the other hamburgers. With regard to the hardness measurements, the tremella fuciformis-containing hamburger had the lowest hardness both externally and internally, and it was also rated the softest in the sensory evaluation. Moreover, in the sensory evaluation, because there were variations in the individual responses by the panelists, the differences were not significant except for the “preferred texture ranking”.
These results indicated that although there were differences in shape and hardness between the control and allergen removal hamburgers, there was no significant difference in the “overall preference ranking” in the sensory evaluation, suggesting that hamburgers produced using regular or alternative ingredients are of similar quality.departmental bulletin pape

Get PDF本研究の目的は日本国内の既存の事例研究報告から、精神科入院患者の排泄セルフケアを低下させていた要因、回復を促す看護介入を明らかにし、精神科入院患者に対する排泄ケアの示唆を得ることである。35件の文献検討を行い、≪排便機能に関連した要因≫≪排尿機能に関連した要因≫≪排泄動作に関連した要因≫≪アセスメントを困難にさせる要因≫≪ケアの提供を困難にさせる要因≫の５つが排泄セルフケアを低下させる要因として分類され、ケアを提供すること自体が困難にあること、行動制限や慢性便秘症に対する多量の下剤の投与など医療者の行為も排泄セルフケアを低下させる要因となっていることが示された。回復を促す看護介入は７つに分類され、≪看護チームの方向性を統一≫≪排泄の自立に向けた患者との協働関係を構築≫≪身体的苦痛や不快感の軽減≫≪排便機能に対するケア≫≪排尿機能に対するケア≫≪排泄環境の調整≫≪患者の支援者・多職種との連携≫といったケアが展開されていた。departmental bulletin pape

Literature review related to " skills for adjusting the medical care environment "
Get PDF「療養環境の調整技術」に関する研究内容を概観し、研究の動向から今後の看護基礎教育への示唆を得ることを目的に、医学中央雑誌Web 版にて、「療養環境」「環境整備」「看護技術」のキーワードで、年代は絞らず、文献の種類を「原著論文」とし、国内文献の検索を行った。その結果、111文献が抽出され、78文献を対象とし、研究目的、対象、内容について抽出して一覧表を作成し研究の動向について分析した。臨地実習による看護技術の経験及び技術水準の到達状況等を報告した文献が８割を占めており、看護教育機関の多くで、看護技術の経験や到達度について分析されていることが伺えた。また、臨地実習での「環境調整技術」の経験率は７割以上を示す研究が多く、卒業時の到達レベルは単独で実施できるレベルに達していることが示されていた。臨床の場をフィールドとした文献数は16件と少なく、過去５年以内のものは２件のみであり、減少傾向であった。departmental bulletin pape

Get PDF本研究の目的は、コロナ禍の影響により臨地実習と学内実習の両方を体験した学生が学んだと認識している内容を明らかにし、今後の臨地および学内実習への示唆を得ることである。学生のレポートから、『学び』として表現している内容を可能な限り意味内容が損なわれないように56のコードを抽出し、意味内容の類似性に従って20のサブカテゴリー、10のカテゴリーを生成した。臨地実習では、患者とのコミュニケーション、患者の価値観の理解、慢性疾患患者の理解、患者に合わせたケアの提供、について多く学びを得ていた。さらに、学内実習により自分自身を振り返り、自己成長の機会となっていた。しかし、臨地実習が短縮化されたことで、患者の権利や倫理観に基づいて行動すること、多職種連携のチーム医療についての学びが少なく、今後、臨地および学内実習、演習や講義、他領域実習の関連も考慮したカリキュラムを検討していく必要性が示唆された。departmental bulletin pape
