Introduction to Heian-gikai Shiryo（the Historical Materials of the Heian-gikai）and Ohkitsu-zaidan Shiryo（the Historical Materials of the Ohkitsu-zaidan）for the Study of Kyoto-kanke-shizoku（Ⅳ）
Get PDFThe term Kyoto-kanke-shizoku refers to the low-level functionaries who served in the Imperial Court until 1869. They became
unemployed and impoverished as a result of the Meiji Restoration. The organizations Heian-gikai and Kyoto-Ohkitsu-zaidan were founded to
support them. Heian-gikai Siryo （the Historical Materials of the Heian-gikai） and Ohkitsu-zaidan Siryo （the Historical Materials of the
Ohkitsu-zaidan） are the materials handed down from generation to generation in these organizations. In 2016, these materials were donated
to the Kyoto Institute, Library and Archives. This text was written to introduce them for being used in the study on the Kyoto-kankeshizoku.departmental bulletin pape

究では、日本人と婚姻関係にある英語のネイティブスピーカーの家族５世帯を対象に、それぞれの
家庭内における子供の英語力維持の方法についてインタビュー調査を行った。これらのインタ
ビュー調査が、特異な社会言語的環境への洞察に寄与することを期待する。また本論文では、日本
では少数言語である英語を継承語の従来の定義と比較対照した。結果、日本の国際家庭における英
語は、時には継承語と同様に機能することが示唆された。同時に、このような国際家庭は社会的に

An analysis for emotive experience of tourism products

against their commoditization. This paper attempt is to clarify the characteristic of motive
experience of tourism products by applying STAR framework analysis, which is one of way to
analyze emotive experience. In this research, I focus on analyzing for one package-tour by a
STAR framework and examining by comparing between this field survey and the previous
study. As a result of this research, the characteristic of tourism experience has some common
points as well as some different points from other products & services which are researched by
the previous study. In the course of my argument, it should have become clear that it was
revealed that there is gap between economic value provided by tourism business and tourism

On ‘Repetition’ and ‘an Image of Inside-out’ in Toshio SHIMAO’s “An Ordinary Life in a Dream”
Get PDFThis paper discusses about a Japanese novelist Toshio SHIMAO and one of his works “An
Ordinary Life in a Dream” from a clinical psychological point of view. In this dream-like short
story, we realize the repetition of the same kind of mother-child relationship. In this intimate
relationship, both of them are supposed to be the looking-glass self for each other. But on the
latter part of the story, the symbolic image of father comes into the mother-child relationship and
prohibits it. And in the end, strangely enough, the body of the main character is turned inside
out. This dreamy and bizarre image of inside-out means the main character is getting into ‘the

Analysis of Carlo Cartari’s Visit Record of Collegio Romano- As a Study of Francesco Borromini’s Library Planings -
Get PDFAnalyzing the Carlo Cartari’s visit records of large libraries in Rome, it can be understood
that he observed not only the bookshelf, but also the position, scale, structure, length, width and
height of the library, and noted to the balance, the layout of the windows, and the external
environment.
In the visit record of the library in Collegio Romano in early 1660 （ASR, Cartari-Febei, vol.
185, c. 72v.）, the depth of library was about the same as Alessandrina Library at the University
of Rome, but the narrower width and the lower ceiling height. It emphasized the perspective a
deeper feel, with continuous vault.
All the bookshelves were in the same height, divided 8 stages, and it is possible to add 4
more stages. The tables were also utilized as bookshelves in the bottom.
The library of Collegio Romano was monumental, but rather than the magnificent expanse of
space, the capacity was maximized on the plan. Borromini and Cartari were sure to refer to its

Japanese Temple Buddhism, Depopulation, and Questions of Survival
Get PDFThis article explores responses to depopulation at a temple community in rural Hokkaido.
Based on two years of fieldwork, I provide an ethnographic account of the ways in which priests
and temple leaders in depopulated regions frame temples as providers of social services and
sites of collective memory where the efforts of previous generations to establish the community
are acknowledged and made known to future generations. Beyond simply providing an overview
of attempts to ensure future viability, I will also shed light on the contradictory moods and motivations
of temple priests and leaders as they struggle to ensure their temple’s future despite simultaneously
being confronted with the knowledge that the temple and surrounding community
have experienced declines in population and social services which threaten to derail any attempts

Cognitive characteristics of Homo sapiens in comparison with “Homo machinarius”
Get PDFIn last two papers we call human beings whose physical and conscious activities such as
thinking and memory are all mechanized as “Homo machinalius”. We will discuss the
consciousness and ego of “Homo machinalius” in comparison with those of Homo sapiens. The
goal of this paper is to clarify the propensity of thinking of Homo sapiens.
At present, in addition to our existence as living human beings, we also have the existence of
“Self as data”. Existence as data is rarely in line with the person’s intention, and many are
irrelevant to the person’s intention. In Homo sapiens society, there is only one “person” in the
world as a living thing, which is mortal. Although the person is not the“ Person as data”（“Self
as data”）, there is an implicit consensus that it is useful mainly for commercial purposes.
In this paper, using the concept of“ giving meaning”（ in German“ Sinngebung”） in Husserl
Phenomenology, using “Self as data” as a starting point for consideration, “Homo machinalius”
is an existence that does not need meaning. On the contrary to “Homo machinalius”, Homo
sapiens cannot live without meaning. In that sense, I would like to add “Homo significatio” to

Knowledge Relating to Corona-Virus Disease-2019 Required by Female University Students in Their Class
Get PDFA questionnaire survey for female students from two women's universties in Tokyo was
conducted to understand what kind of expectations for classes they have during the COVID-19
pandemic. The result showed that over 90% of the students from the two universities should
learn some knowledge about the new coronavirus or the new coronavirus infection in class. The
COVID-19 pandemic topic that about 40% of the students considered to be most interesting
wanted to know was concerned with its impact on the international society and economic
society. It should be noted that the students have strong interest in problems that are directly
related to everyday life. However, the students belonging to the Faculty of Arts have a strong
interest in the prevention of new coronavirus infections, and the students belonging to the
Faculty of Science + Faculty of Arts have a strong interest not only in prevention but also in
the development of vaccines and drugs. This difference seems to reflect the difference in their
