Central African Republic: Emergency and Resilience Plan, 2026–2028
Uzbekistan
The Country Gender Assessment (CGA) highlights key gender inequalities in Uzbekistan’s agrifood systems. Despite strong national commitments to gender equality, gaps in sex-disaggregated and agriculture-specific data continue to limit recognition of women’s contributions. Rural women face restricted access to services, infrastructure and decent work, alongside heavy unpaid care responsibilities that drive time poverty. Young rural women are particularly disadvantaged, with high rates of those not in employment, education or training and low participation in science, technology, engineering and mathematics fields. Although women are active across agriculture, their work is often informal or unpaid, with limited land ownership and access to water, incentives and advisory services. The CGA provides evidence and guidance for addressing these structural barriers and advancing gender equality in rural Uzbekistan
Strengthening national systems and regional collaboration through a One Health approach
To effectively mobilize support and inform strategic investment, FAO has developed a set of concise four-page documents that present its One Health and animal health service offer for 2025–2030. These briefs aim to clearly communicate the value, scope, and urgency of investing in integrated health solutions that protect food systems, livelihoods, and global health security. Designed for decision-makers and partners, the documents provide a focused entry point for collaboration and co-financing discussions
FAO Technical Cooperation Programme (TCP) in Türkiye
FAO Technical Cooperation Programme (TCP) in Türkiye is a key mechanism for strengthening technical collaboration between FAO and the Government of Türkiye to build capacity across food and agriculture systems. FAO has maintained a strong presence in the country since 1982 through its Representation in Ankara, further reinforced by the Sub-Regional Office for Central Asia established in 2007. Through TCP, FAO supports national partners—primarily the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and related public institutions—in addressing emerging priorities such as food safety, agrifood systems transformation, agricultural development, and rural livelihoods. All TCP initiatives are aligned with Türkiye’s Country Programming Framework and national development plans, contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. Since its inception, TCP has supported 19 projects in Türkiye with a total investment of USD 2 million across 10 thematic areas, resulting in strengthened institutional capacity, improved food system governance, and enhanced livelihoods in rural communities
Impacts of cash transfers, e-vouchers and Farmer Field Schools on agricultural outcomes in Mozambique
Addressing land degradation across landholding scales
OCOP RNE Posters
FAO launched the Global Action on “One Country One Priority Product” (OCOP) to contribute to the implementation of the FAO Strategic Framework 2022–31 and ultimately achieve the Sustainable Development Goals to promote inclusive, profitable, and environmentally sustainable food systems through the development of Special Agricultural Products (SAPs). The aim is to optimize the production systems; minimize food loss and waste, the misuse of agricultural chemicals; and maximize incomes to enable the transition to MORE efficient, inclusive, resilient and sustainable agrifood systems. These country posters will be presented at exhibitions relevant to OCOP to share and disseminate their experiences, innovations and technologies during the development of their Special Agricultural Products
