Bridging the Gap: The Reality of Digital Technology Integration by Indonesian Pre-service EFL Teachers
Background:
This research investigates the integration of digital technology into teaching practices among pre-service English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teachers in Indonesia, using the Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework. The exploration focuses on the contextual challenges and limited technological infrastructure that hinder effective technology use during teaching practicums.
Methodology:
Employing a qualitative case study design, the research involved six pre-service teachers from three junior high schools in Indonesia. Data were collected through Video-Stimulated Recall (VSR) interviews, direct observations, and analysis of teaching materials, including lesson plans and multimedia resources used in classroom settings.
Findings:
The findings reveal that while pre-service teachers were theoretically prepared for integrating technology into education, practical implementation was often compromised by infrastructural deficiencies. Teachers frequently encountered issues such as insufficient internet access and lack of support from supervisory staff, which forced them to rely on basic and offline technological tools despite their preparedness to employ more sophisticated resources.
Conclusion:
The research underscores a significant gap between the theoretical training provided by teacher education programs and the practical realities in Indonesian schools. It suggests that enhancing technological infrastructure and mentorship in these settings is crucial to effectively translate pedagogical and content knowledge into technology-integrated teaching practices.
Originality:
This research contributes to the field by highlighting the specific challenges faced by pre-service teachers in developing countries like Indonesia and provides empirical evidence on the discrepancies between their training and actual teaching experiences. Kontribusi Guru Dalam Inovasi Dan Pengembangan Kurikulum Untuk Pendidikan Yang Dinamis
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mensintesis literatur yang ada untuk mengeksplorasi peran beragam guru dalam pengembangan kurikulum. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur untuk menggambarkan berbagai dimensi keterlibatan guru dalam pengembangan kurikulum serta menggambarkan implikasi praktis dan manfaat dari proses kurikulum kolaboratif. Hasil yang diharapkan mencakup pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang kontribusi beragam guru dalam pengembangan dan implementasi kurikulum, serta wawasan mengenai strategi efektif untuk memanfaatkan lembaga guru guna meningkatkan hasil pendidikan. Dengan menjelaskan berbagai dimensi keterlibatan guru dalam pengembangan kurikulum. Hal ini berkontribusi pada wacana yang sedang berlangsung mengenai profesionalisme guru dan reformasi pendidikan, dengan menekankan potensi transformatif dari inisiatif yang dipimpin guru dalam membentuk masa depan pendidikan
Optimalisasi Kualitas Pendidikan Melalui Pendekatan Supervisi dan Inovasi Pembelajaran di Sekolah
Peran pengawasan pendidikan dalam meningkatkan kualitas pengajaran di lembaga pendidikan tidak boleh dianggap remeh. Keterlibatan yang proaktif dari pimpinan sangat penting untuk meningkatkan standar pendidikan dan menjamin tingkat profesionalisme dalam pelaksanaan tugas dan tanggung jawab mereka sebagai pendidik. Pelatihan ini menyediakan bimbingan yang diperlukan untuk mendukung kepala sekolah dan guru dalam mengoptimalkan potensi mereka serta menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung untuk pengembangan profesional. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur. Dalam konteks institusi pendidikan, pengawasan yang efektif menjadi elemen penting yang diperlukan di semua tingkatan pendidikan. Tujuan utamanya adalah untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia, meningkatkan prestasi siswa baik dalam bidang akademik maupun non-akademik, dan mencapai target pendidikan nasional untuk memberikan layanan pendidikan yang berkualitas di semua lembaga pendidikan. Untuk mencapai standar pendidikan yang tinggi, keberadaan guru dengan keahlian dan tingkat profesionalisme yang tinggi sangatlah penting. Analisis Faktor Internal Dan Eksternal Kinerja Pendidik Dan Tenaga Kependidikan Di SMP Negeri 1 Teluk Pandan Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024
Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi faktor-faktor internal dan eksternal yang mempengaruhi kinerja pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan di SMP Negeri 1 Teluk Pandan 2023/2024. Dalam analisis ini, kekuatan (Strengths) dan kelemahan (Weaknesses) diidentifikasi sebagai bagian dari faktor internal yang berada di bawah kendali sekolah. Kekuatan mencakup aspek-aspek seperti kualitas pengajaran, fasilitas yang memadai, dan manajemen yang efektif, sementara kelemahan mencakup area yang memerlukan perbaikan seperti keterbatasan sumber daya atau kurangnya inovasi dalam metode pengajaran. Faktor eksternal meliputi peluang (Opportunities) dan ancaman (Threats) yang berada di luar kendali sekolah namun tetap berdampak signifikan. Peluang dapat berasal dari perkembangan teknologi pendidikan, kebijakan pemerintah yang mendukung, dan tren positif di masyarakat. Sebaliknya, ancaman dapat muncul dari persaingan dengan institusi lain, perubahan kebijakan yang tidak menguntungkan, atau kondisi ekonomi yang menantang. Melalui analisis SWOT, sekolah dapat merumuskan strategi yang komprehensif untuk memaksimalkan kekuatan dan peluang, serta mengatasi kelemahan dan ancaman, guna meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dan kinerja keseluruhan
Pendidikan, Kesehatan, dan Ekonomi: Pilar-Pilar Kesejahteraan Keluarga di Kalimantan Timur
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis manfaat biaya pendidikan dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan keluarga di Provinsi Kalimantan Timur. Kesejahteraan keluarga mencakup berbagai aspek seperti kesehatan, pendidikan, stabilitas ekonomi, dan dukungan sosial. Studi ini menggunakan metode systematic review untuk menyusun dan menyintesis bukti dari berbagai penelitian terkait topik tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan kualitas hidup keluarga dengan meningkatkan peluang kerja, pendapatan, dan kesehatan. Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM) di Kalimantan Timur mengalami peningkatan signifikan, yang mencerminkan peningkatan kualitas pendidikan dan kesehatan di wilayah tersebut. Analisis manfaat biaya pendidikan juga menunjukkan bahwa investasi dalam pendidikan menghasilkan dampak positif terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi dan kesejahteraan sosial. Temuan ini menekankan pentingnya pengelolaan pembiayaan pendidikan yang efektif dan efisien sebagai strategi untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan keluarga. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi bagi pembuat kebijakan untuk memperkuat investasi di sektor pendidikan guna mencapai kesejahteraan yang berkelanjutan bagi masyarakat
Pendekatan pembelajaran reggio emilia berbasis stimulasi kreativitas anak usia dini
The Reggio Emilia learning model is a model that is currently rife in the world of education and is used by educators in the process of learning activities. In the Reggio Emilia approach emphasizes making projects as a result of learning so as to stimulate or encourage children to create ideas that they think of, because this learning is oriented to children, so that it can increase children's creative abilities based on their talents. However, the phenomenon that occurs today at the education level, especially at the pre-school level, is often found that learning activities tend to be centered on educators. Learning activities that occur are not fully child-centered and make the learning system unattractive to children, as a result children will experience saturation in learning activities, children also have no room to develop their abilities in imagining, exploring, and innovating their ideas and ideas. The purpose of this study was to determine the Reggio Emilia learning approach based on stimulation of early childhood creativity. The method used in this research is a literature study based on theories related to the case or problem found. While the data collection technique in this study uses primary data obtained from several national and international journals and articles. The results showed that the Reggio Emilia approach can encourage children's creativity with several aspects, namely the personal aspects that children have, the driving aspects that are programmed and well coordinated, aspects of the creative process from the preparation stage to improvement, and finally the product aspect as a result of the form of creativity which is the advantage or characteristic of the Reggio Emilia approach system so as to produce learning products. The findings in this study, through the Reggio Emilia approach, children are given the freedom to learn according to their abilities, interests, with child-oriented learning so that educators only serve as facilitators who facilitate children and children to work on their own products directed by educators
Analisis tingkat kepuasan orang tua terhadap pelayanan di TPA Dharma Yoga Santi Yogyakarta
The aim of this research is to determine the level of parental satisfaction with services at the Dharma Yoga Santi Yogyakarta Daycare. This research is descriptive quantitative research using a questionnaire as a research instrument. The research respondents were 25 parents. The data was then analyzed quantitatively. The research results showed that: 1) 75% of parents expressed satisfaction and 18.8% stated they were very satisfied with the development achieved by their children, 2) 68.8% of parents stated they were satisfied, and 18.8% stated they were very satisfied with the implementation of the curriculum in the learning process, 3) 62.5% of parents said they were satisfied and 25% said they were very satisfied with the assessment of children's development, 4) 56.3% said they were satisfied and 31.3% said they were very satisfied with the ability of educators to guide children, 5) 56.3% said they were satisfied and 25% said they were very satisfied with communication carried out by educators, 6) 43.8% said they were satisfied and 43.8% said they were very satisfied with the ability of educators to act and behave towards children, 7) 43.8% said they were satisfied and 25% said they were very satisfied with the availability of school infrastructure, 8) 68.8% said they were satisfied, and 25% said they were quite satisfied with the availability of facilities that support children's play activities, and 9) 68.8% said they were satisfied and 25% said they were quite satisfied with the management of daycare facilities and infrastructure. Satisfaction with infrastructure and its management can be further improved to support the stimulation of children's growth and development and increase parents' trust in the institution
Praktik pengasuhan anak usia dini dalam keluarga migran Madura
This research discusses the Early Childhood Care Practices in Madura Family at the Polagan Village, Galis District, Pamekasan Regency. This study aims to investigate the practice of early childhood care in the migrant family in Polagan Village, Galis District, Pamekasan Regency, focusing on the impact of the whereabouts of parents who migrates in the childcare process. This research uses qualitative methods with a case study approach. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation carried out against Madura migrant families, especially parents and child caregivers. Data analysis is carried out inductiveally by emphasizing the meaning behind the observed data. The results show that breakup with parents can stretch an emotional relationship between children and parents, hampering the formation of basic beliefs, and causing problems in their next child personal development. Parenting strategies implemented by the migrant family in dealing with these challenges included using alternative caregivers such as grandparents or close relatives, as well as utilizing communication technology to maintain interaction with children
Innovative Technology Integration in Teaching Practicum: Pre-Service Teachers' Mastery of the TPACK Framework at Universitas Widya Gama Mahakam Samarinda
Consider how Technology has been used in the teaching and learning process. This study aimed to explore PSTs' final practice in practicum integrated into Technology and how they solve the problem if they have it. This research was conducted at Widya Gama Mahakam University. This study focused on PSTs' competence when designing and using Technology in teaching final practice in practicum programs through the TPACK framework. The design of this study was a qualitative study that illustrates the PSTs' competence in integrating Technology in the final practice teaching in the practicum program through TPACK Framework. There were 22 PSTs of seven semesters as the participants. There were three items of instruments. Documents, interviews, Observation, and three PSTs were willing to be interviewees. The study result showed they plan the lesson well before teaching using Technology even though there are slight differences in their performance. The Technology they used, combined with pedagogy and content, varied depending on the state of equipment, facilities, PSTs' abilities, and student levels. PSTs also stated the involvement of supervising teachers was beneficial when they faced difficulties in teaching practice. The Researcher suggested that PSTs design their lesson plan effectively. The teacher preparation program prepares PSTs with technological education skills, and the school provides nondigital or digital technology support, student-centered software, and collaboration media tools
MEMBUKA PINTU TRANSFORMASI: PERAN INOVATIF AKUN BELAJAR.ID DALAM REVOLUSI DIGITAL SEKOLAH
This study investigates how East Kalimantan Province's schools can benefit from digital transformation through Belajar.id accounts. Analysis of account activation and utilization rates, as well as the effects of Google Workspace adoption and platform evaluations, is done using data from the belajar.id account Dashboard and Merdeka Mengajar Platform. This study employs a quantitative descriptive methodology, gathering data via document analysis and surveys. The findings indicate that while teachers and other education staff have a high degree of activation, there is a sizable disparity in student account activation. At all educational levels, Google Workspace is widely used, with some districts and towns having higher adoption rates than others. The bulk of accounts on the Merdeka Mengajar, There are still problems with using assessments on the site because it has to be enhanced. This study sheds light on the variables that affect students' use of educational technology and offers suggestions for making the most use of digital platforms to raise academic standards
