    Pendidikan yang baik, menjadikan individu memiliki peluang lebih besar untuk meningkatkan status sosial dan ekonomi mereka sendiri, serta untuk memberikan kontribusi yang lebih besar kepada masyarakat. Fokus masyarakat, selama beberapa generasi terakhir adalah menjadikan pendidikan sebagai jalan utama menuju keamanan finansial, pekerjaan yang stabil, dan kesuksesan sosial. Penelitian ini melakukan pendekatan emic yang merupakan salah satu metode dalam penelitian kualitatif yang digunakan untuk memahami budaya dari perspektif orang dalam (insider's perspective). Di Program Studi PBI UWGM Samarinda, beberapa praktek penting diterapkan untuk memastikan pendidikan yang holistik dan relevan dengan kebutuhan zaman. Untuk penerapan perencanaan strategis di dunia pendidikan, Program Studi PBI UWGM Samarinda melakukan peningkatan sumber daya lembaga berupa produktivitas dan kualitas pendidikan, dan mencapai tujuan akademik serta operasional yang lebih baik

    Finding out if gamification affects students' Listening comprehension at the early university level is the goal of this study. With a quantitative research design, this study employs a quasi-experimental method. In total, 34 students were chosen by the researcher to participate in the experiment. Three meetings were used for pre- and post-tests by the researchers while gathering data. In experiment classes, the average pre-test and post-test scores are 0,62 and 4,67. From the statistical test, discovered Asymp.Sig (2-tailed)= 0,000 < 0,05 so Ha accepted and Ho rejected mean that there is the difference of result of studies before and after using nearpod gamification for listening to British accent. Researcher can therefore conclude that the listening students at Mulawarman English Education are significantly impacted by the use of Nearpod gamification in the learning proces

    Cyberbullying issues on a transgender Instagram account

    Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) of Fairclough was employed to analyze discourse regarding cyberbullying on Millen Cyrus's Instagram account, which has claimed herself as transgender. Most of the comments show negative responses. Some linguistic features are analyzed, such as 'bro,' 'laki,' 'tulen,' 'banci,' and many more, which refer to cyberbullying. With the sophisticated features of Instagram, it is no wonder that news could get about quickly. In the context of the situation, Millen could not avoid any attention from the media and the public as she is a part of Ashanty's family, an Indonesian singer and socialite. At the instructional level, it is easy to get more exposure from others since her account has been verified by Instagram, including Millen's followers and non-followers, as people quickly found her posts on the explore feature. The act of some people who put comments on a transgender account, like what they have done to Millen Cyrus, has also evidenced that their discourse is influenced by the existence of their culture, religion, family background, and so on

    Exploring the Use of Authentic Materials for Reading Activity at A Vocational School

    This research explores teacher strategies in adapting authentic materials for reading instruction at vocational schools, identifying challenges faced by teachers and students. The study aims to investigate these strategies and challenges among tenth-grade AKL students at SMK Sangatta Utara during the 2023/2024 academic year. This qualitative case study examines the use of authentic materials in reading instruction at a vocational school. Data were collected through observations, semi-structured interviews, and field notes with one English teacher and six tenth-grade students. Techniques included purposive sampling and Creswell’s (2014) data analysis method for organizing, coding, and interpreting findings. The study found that teachers employed strategies for selecting and adapting authentic materials for reading instruction, such as advertisements and articles, that were relevant to students' interests. Challenges included limited internet access, insufficient learning media, and students' difficulties with vocabulary and engagement. Teachers mitigated these challenges through personal hotspots, group activities, and additional support. This study reveals effective strategies for using authentic materials in teaching reading, highlighting the benefits of relevance and collaboration. However, challenges like limited internet access and multimedia resources persist. Recommendations include improving technological infrastructure, providing teacher training, and fostering local collaborations to enhance the use of authentic materials and support student engagement and learning outcom

    Stunting prevention in Indonesia is still experiencing challenges, including cases of Low Birth Weight (LBW) which still increased by 0.55% in 2018 to 6.25%, the proportion of complete basic immunization which is still low, namely 57.9% in 2018, mothers and toddlers with the condition of energy deficiency who have not received PMT is still relatively high (74.8% and 59%), and anemia in pregnant women (48.9%) in 2018. Problems that often arise in the family environment are related to the attitudes and knowledge of parents in educating their children. The level of education can influence the incidence of stunting but does not occur significantly, this may be influenced by each parent's ability to access information. This research uses a systematic review method, which is a strong approach to compiling and synthesizing evidence from various existing studies on certain topics to find out the complex causes of stunting in a family.   Keywords: stunting, parental education level, stunting information.Pencegahan stunting di Indonesia masih mengalami tantangan, antara lain kasus Berat Badan Lahir Rendah (BBLR) yang masih meningkat 0.55% pada tahun 2018 menjadi 6.25%, proporsi imunisasi dasar lengkap yang masih rendah yaitu 57,9% pada tahun 2018, ibu dan balita dengan kondisi kekurangan energi yang belum mendapatkan PMT masih tergolong tinggi (74,8% dan 59%), dan anemia pada wanita hamil (48,9%) pada tahun 2018. Permasalahan yang sering muncul didalam lingkungan keluarga adalah terkait dengan sikap dan pengetahuan orang tua dalam mendidik anaknya. Tingkat pendidikan dapat mempengaruhi kejadian stunting namun tidak terjadi secara signifikan, hal tersebut kemungkinan dipengaruhi oleh kemampuan setiap orangtua dalam mengakses informasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode systematic review yaitu pendekatan yang kuat untuk menyusun dan menyintesis bukti dari berbagai penelitian yang ada tentang topik tertentu untuk mengetahui penyebab stunting yang kompleks didalam sebuah keluarga.     Traditional games are forms of play or sports activities that possess unique regional characteristics and are adapted to local cultural traditions. The study aims to determine whether traditional games, as a cultural heritage, influence the improvement of physical fitness among students aged 10-12 years at SDN 024 Samarinda Utara. The research results indicate a significant influence of the traditional game gobak sodor on improving physical fitness among students aged 10-12 years at SDN 024 Samarinda Utara. The conclusion is that incorporating traditional games into the physical education curriculum can serve as an effective strategy for enhancing students' overall health and physical fitness.

    Information and communication technology is a part of science and technology which is generally related to the retrieval, collection, processing, storage, dissemination and presentation of information. The existence of information and communication technology can make it easier for anyone to learn and get the information they need from various sources, at any time and wherever they are. This research aims to determine teacher readiness in facing technology-based learning at SDN 002 North Samarinda. This research uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach and uses interview, observation and documentation techniques. The results of this research found that teacher readiness at SDN 002 North Samarinda was quite good, but the lack of infrastructure made technology-based learning at State Elementary School 002 North Samarinda less than optimal. Thus, it can be concluded that teacher readiness is quite good, the availability of technology-based learning infrastructure is good, but implementation is less than optimal due to the lack of technology-based learning infrastructure, namely LCD projectors.

    Students' Perceptions Towards The Use of Kahoot On Learning Motivation In English Language Learning

    The objective of this study is to elucidate students' perspectives regarding the utilization of the Kahoot application as a learning medium to enhance their motivation. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach, namely a case study design. The participants of this study consist of students enrolled in the English Education Department at Universitas Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur (UMKT) who possess specific traits. This study employed semi-structured interviews to investigate students' impression of the impact of using Kahoot on their intrinsic motivation for learning. The findings indicate that Kahoot had numerous beneficial impacts on students' learning. The students evaluated Kahoot as a captivating online game-based learning tool that enhanced their knowledge and stimulated their drive and excitement, resulting in active learning. Additionally, this study identified the difficulties encountered by students when use Kahoot, including anxiety stemming from time constraints, inadequate internet connectivity, and instances of cheating

    English Variation Used In Reading Class At Higher Education In East Kalimantan

    This study aims to identify the English accents that students use in English reading class and their perceptions about English accents in Indonesia. The research employed a qualitative design to elicit more detailed answers and utilized a modified interview as a research instrument. The researcher enlisted 38 students of English Language Education from a private university in East Kalimantan as participants in this study. Four out of the 38 students were selected for interviews. The results of the research indicated that 9.5% (N=34) participants used an American accent and 10.5% (N=4) participants used a British accent when reading a text in English. The interview result showed that American English was the favored accent for reading and general perception, likely due to its popularity and perceived ease in the media. Despite these preferences, students acknowledged British English as a formal and distinguished accent. They agreed that exposure to different dialects can help in speaking, listening, and vocabulary development. Media exposure played a significant role in influencing their accents
