    Transformasi Manajemen Sekolah melalui Supervisi Manajerial

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana supervisi manajerial terhadap guru dan kepala sekolah dilakukan di sekolah dari jenjang PAUD, SD, SMP, dan SMA/SMK. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif yang dikombinasikan dengan pendekatan studi tinjauan.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengawasan sekolah sangat penting untuk meningkatkan kapasitas personil dan manajemen sekolah. Supervisor berperan dalam: (1) membantu perencanaan dan penyediaan sumber daya; (2) mengevaluasi kinerja dan kebutuhan guru; (3) mendukung lingkungan kerja sama yang positif; dan (4) melaporkan kemajuan guru. Supervisi manajerial yang baik sangat penting untuk peningkatan kinerja guru dan kepala sekolah. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa peran supervisor dalam perencanaan, evaluasi, dukungan, dan pelaporan kemajuan guru sangat krusial dalam mencapai tujuan pendidikan yang diinginkan

    This study aims to evaluate the implementation of quality management strategies at SMP Negeri 5 Kelay, East Kalimantan, with a focus on improving the validity of data-based decisions to improve the quality of education. The research methods used include qualitative and quantitative approaches by conducting interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results of the analysis show that schools face challenges related to inadequate technological infrastructure, teaching staff skills in data management that need to be improved, and coordination between stakeholders that is not optimal. Even so, there have been efforts to increase the capacity of human resources and information technology infrastructure in the school. The recommendations from this study include the need to develop a more structured and integrated data management system, increase training for teaching staff in effective data management, and improve coordination between stakeholders to ensure more accurate and efficient data-driven decision-making. This effort is expected to contribute significantly to improving the quality of education at SMP Negeri 5 Kelay, East Kalimantan.     Penelitian ini mengkaji perbedaan kebijakan pendanaan pendidikan di SMP antara wilayah perkotaan dan pedesaan di Indonesia, dengan fokus pada studi kasus dari daerah-daerah dengan disparitas signifikan dalam Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD). Analisis data kuantitatif dan kualitatif serta tinjauan literatur digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi ketimpangan distribusi dana pendidikan antar wilayah. Wilayah pedesaan menunjukkan tantangan infrastruktur pendidikan terbatas, penggunaan anggaran yang tidak efisien, dan kesenjangan akses pendidikan dibandingkan dengan perkotaan. Analisis SWOT menyoroti potensi akuntabilitas dan kepercayaan masyarakat sebagai kekuatan, tetapi juga menunjukkan kebutuhan akan investasi awal yang signifikan dan potensi resistensi terhadap perubahan sebagai kelemahan dan ancaman. Strategi yang direkomendasikan meliputi peningkatan transparansi dalam alokasi dana dan kolaborasi lintas sektor untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut dan mempromosikan kesetaraan akses pendidikan di seluruh Indonesia

    This research was motivated by the low initial reading skills of students in class B at Tiara Pertiwi Loa Janan Kindergarten, a problem was found, namely that more than half of the students in the class did not know the letters of the alphabet, factors that caused students' low initial reading skills, including inadequate learning models and media. effective. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of the contextual learning model on the beginning reading abilities of children aged 5-6 years at Tiara Pertiwi Loa Janan Kindergarten. This type of research is quantitative, namely using experimental research methods with the research type Quasi Experimental Design and the research design is Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study were all class B students at Tiara Pertiwi Loa Janan Kindergarten. The samples in this research were class B2 as the experimental class and class B4 as the control class. The initial reading ability data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics in the SPSS 28.0 For Windows program. The results show that the posttest completeness percentage values ​​for the experimental class and control class are 100% and 20% respectively. The results of hypothesis testing using the Independent Sample T-test in the SPSS 28.0 For Windows program showed that Two-Sided p was 0.003, smaller than 0.05, thus H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. The conclusion from the research results after treatment is that the contextual learning model has a significant effect on the beginning reading abilities of children aged 5-6 years at Tiara Pertiwi Loa Janan Kindergarten.  Using a contextual learning model with picture media and letter cards makes learning fun and more enthusiastic about recognizing letters

    Exploring the Multifaceted Landscape of English-Medium Instruction: Students' Perspectives and Challenges at the University of Kutai Kartanegara

    This mixed-methods study investigated students' perceptions of using English as a Foreign Language (EFL) as a medium of instruction at the University of Kutai Kartanegara. Data were collected through a questionnaire (n=25) and semi-structured interviews. Quantitative results showed an overall positive perception, with a mean score of 71.38 on the questionnaire. However, qualitative findings revealed nuances in students' experiences. While most enjoyed learning English and appreciated lecturers' engaging teaching styles, some faced difficulties with comprehension due to lecturers' delivery or their students’ proficiency levels. Students had varied engagement in extracurricular English activities. Interactions in English with lecturers facilitated language development, but peer interactions were limited. Most deemed English suitable for language classes but had concerns about its exclusive use in non-language courses given varying proficiencies. Lecturers employed motivational strategies like emphasizing English's importance and suggesting practical activities, but implementation of English-medium instruction was inconsistent. Benefits included improving skills like presentations and vocabulary, but challenges included inadequate proficiency, lack of motivation, workload concerns, and limited materials. The research contributes valuable insights for policymakers, educators, and researchers in English language education and international higher education, emphasizing the importance of creating inclusive learning environments that support both language acquisition and academic content mastery

    MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN SOSIAL DAN KERJASAMA ANAK MELALUI ULAR NAGA DI KB AL MARDHIYYAH SAMARINDA

    The lack of social skills and cooperation of the children contributes to internalization problems among the children. Children who tend to behave individually, have difficulties getting along with others, aggressive and difficult to control, are included in this category. According to study conducted at KB Al Mardhiyyah, social skills of the students were still problematic. It was found that students had a lack of self-awareness when it came to apologizing to and forgiving friends, and that they had no sense of responsibility or concern for their fellow friends. This observation led the researcher to develop ideas, suggestions, or plans for conducting classroom action research. The purpose of this Classroom Action Research (CAR) was to improve children's social skills and cooperation through activities such as a dragon snake game. In this study, 35 students were included as subjects of the study. Classroom Action Research was carried out in two cycles. In each cycle, there were four steps: planning, action, observation, and reflection. Based on the results of this study, we concluded that learning through dragon snake game improved social skills and cooperative of the students at KB Al Mardhiyyah Sungai Pinang Samarinda, as seen from the comparison of observations made prior to the action/pre-cycle, cycle 1 and cycle II. The results of these influences can be seen from the success indicators, which reached 77.42% from the previous success percentage of just 52.86 Keywords: social skills, cooperation, dragon snake gameKurangnya keterampilan sosial dan kerjasama membuat anak memiliki masalah internalisasi seperti anak cenderung berperilaku individualis, tidak mudah bergaul, agresif dan sulit dikontrol. Berdasarkan observasi di KB Al Mardhiyyah peneliti menemukan masih ada yang bermasalah dalam keterampilan sosialnya, seperti kurangnya kesadaran diri anak dalam meminta maaf dan memaafkan teman, belum ada rasa tanggung jawab dan kepedulian terhadap sesama teman. Berdasarkan pengamatan tersebut peneliti menemukan ide, gagasan atau rencana untuk melakukan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan kegiatan bermain ular naga. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan sosial dan kerjasama anak melalui bermain ular naga dengan jumlah subyek sebanyak 35 anak. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, pengamatan (observasi) dan refleksi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah Pembelajaran dengan metode bermain ular naga pada siswa KB Al Mardhiyyah Sungai Pinang Samarinda dapat meningkatkan keterampilan sosial dan kerjasama anak, hal ini dapat dilihat dari perbandingan hasil observasi yang telah dilakukan pada sebelum tindakan/pra siklus , siklus 1 dan siklus II yang hasilnya mempengaruhi peningkatan terlihat dari capaian indikator keberhasilan peneliti yang mencapai 77,42% dari yang sebelumnya presentase keberhasilan hanya mencapai 52,86%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa bermain ular naga efektif untuk peningkatan perkembangan sosial dan kerjasama anak terutama dalam kesadaran diri anak, anak memiliki rasa tanggung jawab, anak dapat berperilaku proposional, anak dapat bermain dalam satu kelompok, anak dapat saling tolong menolong. Karena dalam bermain ular naga mempunyai manfaat seperti: dapat mempererat ikatan pertemanan, melatih anak untuk dapat bekerjasama pada tim kelompoknya, mengajarkan anak tentang toleransi dan menghormati pilihan orang lain, menumbuhkan interaksi dan sosialisali dengan lingkungan sekitarnya, dan dapat melatih tanggung jawab.     Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penguasaan teknologi oleh guru adalah krusial dalam mentransformasi proses pembelajaran. Guru di era ini perlu memiliki literasi data, teknologi, dan manusia, serta kemampuan untuk menggunakan informasi dari dunia digital secara efektif. Implementasi teknologi seperti sistem manajemen sekolah berbasis cloud dan AI untuk analisis data membantu dalam menciptakan pembelajaran yang lebih efisien dan produktif. Kurikulum harus disesuaikan untuk mencakup keterampilan abad ke-21, termasuk berpikir kritis, kolaborasi, dan kreativitas. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa teknologi membawa perubahan besar dalam kegiatan pendidikan, memungkinkan akses ilmu pengetahuan yang lebih luas dan lebih terjangkau. Guru dituntut untuk lebih kreatif dalam mengembangkan keterampilan yang dibutuhkan, menggunakan teknologi untuk mengoptimalkan pengalaman belajar dan mengajar, sehingga mempercepat kemajuan pendidikan. Adanya dukungan dari berbagai pemangku kepentingan juga menjadi faktor penting dalam menciptakan iklim pendidikan yang mendukung di Era Society 5.0.     Having good mental health is something that everyone hopes for. The importance of mental health for students can control their emotion regarding the situation they are facing. However, students often complain that they feel like they have too much assignments. So that not many of them feel stressed and pressured in doing it. Therefore, it is important to study further regarding students’ mental health. This research aims to prove how much influence coursework has on the mental health of students in the Department of Physics Education, Yogyakarta State University in 2023. The research method used is quantitative with a descriptive analytical approach. The sample used was 85 students from the Department of Physics Education, Yogyakarta State University class of 2023 using total sampling. The analysis carried out was a normality test which showed that the data was not normally distributed so it was carried out using the Mann-Whitney non-parametric test. The research result that can be conclude are that the influence of student assignments is quite small on the mental health of students at the Department of Physics Education, Yogyakarta State University in 2023

    Quantitative Analysis within Language Studies: An Analytical Views Based on the Bibliometrics Method

    Abstract Background: While qualitative research methods have provided insights into linguistic structures and processes, the recent decades have witnessed a growing emphasis on quantitative approaches. Methodology: This study utilizes a bibliometric analysis based on the PRISMA guidelines to explore research trends in “Quantitative Analysis within Language Studies” from 2014 to 2024 by analyzing the metadata of 53,575 journal articles retrieved from a reputable database, i.e., Dimensions. Findings: The findings show that (1) there was a steady rise in publications throughout the period; (2) the total citations increased by over 113,000, representing a nearly 100-fold growth (1,141 citations in 2014 compared to 41,203 citations in 2024); (3) according to the ANZSRC 2020 classification, the field of Language, Communication and Culture has the highest number of publications (53,575), followed by Linguistics (32,121) and Language Studies (18,272); (4) there was the top 10 journals from 2014 to 2024; (5) there was a detail into the publication productivity and citation impact of 20 leading researchers; and (6) it has been extracted 1,028 terms concerning the examined query that classified into eight clusters. Conclusion: By integrating the insights gleaned from publication trends, citation analysis, leading authors, journal distribution, map-based visualizations, and cluster analysis of terms, this study provides a comprehensive and detailed picture of research trends within the search query. Originality: While current several research in quantitative language studies tends to delve into specific subfields, offering piecemeal understandings of the overall landscape, this study takes a distinct approach. By examining 53,575 articles content and metadata, this study aims to provide a more comprehensive perspective compare to previous fragmented insights

    Profesi guru sangat penting bagi pendidikan dan menuntut dedikasi dan kepatuhan yang tinggi terhadap etika profesi. Guru harus memiliki dedikasi yang tinggi dan mematuhi standar profesional yang ketat. Perilaku dan kewajiban moral seorang guru ketika menjalankan tugasnya sebagai pendidik diatur oleh profesi guru. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk Mengenali prinsip-prinsip profesi Guru dan memahami peran kewajiban moral dan kesulitan yang dialami oleh para pendidik dalam lingkungan pendidikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelidiki bagaimana moralitas dan etika berfungsi dalam profesi guru dan bagaimana pengaruhnya terhadap pembelajaran siswa. Studi ini mengkaji berbagai materi, termasuk buku, artikel jurnal, dan makalah kebijakan yang berkaitan dengan etika pendidikan, dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi kepustakaan. Menurut temuan analisis, etika profesi guru mencakup nilai-nilai seperti kejujuran, integritas, dan rasa hormat-semua hal tersebut sangat penting untuk menumbuhkan lingkungan belajar yang mendukung.
