A violência sexual contra as mulheres em contexto Universitário : as jovens universitárias enquanto grupo de risco

É fundamentalmente pela preocupação crescente em relação e este fenómeno, sobretudo internacional, uma vez que ainda há pouca investigação em Portugal, que esta dissertação se propõe a investigar as dinâmicas inerentes às situações de violência sexual que ocorrem nas universidades portuguesas, através da análise de uma sentença condenatória proferida pelo Tribunal da Comarca de Braga.
Com efeito, a referida decisão permitiu-nos discutir, como é que as teorias criminológicas associadas aos fatores de risco mencionados por diversos investigadores, se expressam na vida quotidiana e real das jovens universitárias em Portugal.
Foi possível constatar então, através de um caso concreto que, fatores como a idade, o género, o ano académico frequentado e ainda, o consumo de álcool se mostram verdadeiros potenciadores e geradores de situações de violência sexual em contexto universitário.
Perante tal, torna-se fundamental que o objetivo desta dissertação passe por dois planos, por um lado, trazer a questão da violência sexual para debate público, de forma a que o assunto possa ganhar notoriedade, e, consequentemente seja possível, a partir daqui, encontrar soluções de prevenção do fenómeno e, por outro lado, fazer com que os jovens reflitam criticamente sobre a cultura inerente ao fenómeno da violência sexual, mais concretamente, no que diz respeito à importância do consentimento, que só se consegue, através da disseminação de comportamentos e boas práticas por toda a comunidade, e da desmistificação e desconstrução de estereótipos.In the recent years, there has been a considerable increase of sexual violence cases against women, especially, against young women, where is clear that the university context is related.
Due to the growing concern about this phenomenon, especially internationally, since the research in Portugal is rare, in this dissertation we propose to determine and characterize the prevalence of sexual violence in Portuguese universities, through the analysis of a condemnatory sentence handed down by the District Court of Braga.
Indeed, this decision allowed us to analyse how the criminological theories associated with the risk factors mentioned by several researchers expressed themselves in the daily and real life of university students in Portugal.
It was based on that specific case, that we could verify that factors such as age, gender, the academic year attended and also alcohol consumption are true enhancers and generators of situations of sexual violence in the university context.
Having said that, it is essential that the objective of this dissertation goes through two plans, on one hand, i tis importante to bring the issue of sexual violence to public debate, so the subject can gain notoriety, and, consequently, be possible, from here , to find preventive solutions to the phenomenon. On the other hand, we consider that it is significant to make young people critically reflect on the culture inherent of sexual violence, more specifically, the importance of consent, which can only be achieved through the dissemination of behavior and good practices throughout the community, and the demystification and deconstruction of stereotypes
A importância do processo de co-criação de valor na gestão de marcas de neo-luxo na Geração Y

Procura-se entender quais são os fatores explicativos do comportamento do consumidor da geração Y a criar um relacionamento com as marcas de neo-luxo e quais são as consequências desse relacionamento. Para isso foi utilizada uma metodologia quantitativa com recolha de dados junto dos consumidores finais com base em um questionário estruturado e escalas validadas na literatura académica. Verificou-se que os consumidores da geração Y de marcas masstige são influenciados fortemente pelos processos de co-criação de valor e o passa-a-palavra eletrónica. Verificou-se também que a variável masstige divide-se na sua componente de conhecimento da marca e na componente de prestígio da marca. Este resultado é novo face à escala original do autor que contém três dimensões para o masstige: conhecimento da marca, prestígio e status e qualidade percebida. Isto contribui para a gestão na medida em que dá inputs aos gestores das marcas masstige, nomeadamente face à perceção da geração Y do que é uma marca masstige e quais são os elementos em que se devem focar mais no desenvolvimento das estratégias futuras – co-criação e eWOM.This study has as its central theme the process of co-creation of value in neo-luxury brands. It seeks to understand what the explanatory factors of the consumer behavior of generation Y are to create a relationship with neo-luxury brands and what are the consequences of this relationship. For this, a quantitative methodology was used with data collection from final consumers based on a structured questionnaire and scales validated in the academic literature. It was found that Gen Y consumers of masstige brands are strongly influenced by the processes of co-creation of value and electronic word-of-mouth. It was also found that the masstige variable is divided into its brand awareness component and the brand prestige component. This result is new compared to the author's original scale, which contains three dimensions for masstige: brand awareness, prestige and status, and perceived quality. This contributes to management insofar as it gives inputs to masstige brand managers, namely in view of the perception of generation Y of what a masstige brand is and which are the elements on which they should focus more in the development of future strategies - co-creation and eWOM

A questão central "Qual é o impacto da cooperação internacional da UE no desenvolvimento da Guiné-Bissau?" é abordada através de investigação qualitativa, analisando as dinâmicas da parceria entre a UE e a Guiné-Bissau. A UE, um ator importante na cooperação internacional, estabelece relações transformadoras com Países em Desenvolvimento para atingir objetivos de desenvolvimento comuns.
O estudo contribui para o discurso académico ao fornecer perceções sobre a eficácia do apoio da UE, particularmente num contexto desafiador como o da Guiné-Bissau. Esta investigação reveste-se de importância devido às dificuldades de desenvolvimento do país e ao compromisso da UE com a estabilidade global. No geral, a pesquisa ilumina a intrincada interação entre cooperação internacional, desenvolvimento sustentável e o papel das instituições na configuração destas dinâmicas.This Master's Dissertation titled Sustainable Development in Africa: Guinea-Bissau, a Case Study investigates the role of European Union (EU) cooperation in the development of Guinea-Bissau. Pretendemos com esta investigação é evidenciar que, apesar da rutura política efetuada pela República de Weimar em relação ao regime do Kaiser, o imperialismo alemão enquanto ideia não se extinguiu. A mesma ideia imperial esteve presente na política externa da República de Weimar e permaneceu presente na política externa da Alemanha nazi, uma vez que estava em causa a personalidade coletiva da nação alemã, sendo irrelevante se o Estado alemão era uma monarquia constitucional federal sob a Casa de Hohenzollern, ou se era uma república semipresidencial federal democrática, ou se era um regime totalitário governado por Adolf Hitler e do Partido Nacional-Socialista dos Trabalhadores Alemães.Taking as a starting point the monograph Subsidy for a critical synthesis of political imperialism in Germany by ambassador Alberto Franco Nogueira (1918-1993), and considering Germany’s foreign policy orientations, we seek to explain why traditional German imperialism persists in German foreign policy, after the fall of the German Empire? Our intention with this investigation is to show that, despite the political rupture made by the Weimar Republic in relation to the Kaiser’s regime, German imperialism as an idea did not become extinct. The same imperial idea was present in the foreign policy of the Weimar Republic and remained present in the foreign policy of Nazi Germany, since the collective personality of the German nation was at stake, and it was irrelevant whether the German State was a federal constitutional monarchy under the House of Hohenzollern, or whether it was a democratic federal semi-presidential republic, or whether it was a totalitarian regime ruled by Adolf Hitler and the National Socialist German Workers’ Party
Data protection in cloud computing : a comparative study between the EU and USA regulations

As most data centers are outside the European Union (EU) and are located mainly in the United States of America (USA), the researcher thoroughly studied the data protection laws that apply in both geographic areas. The subject of this study is based on the collection of necessary information and comparison of how personal data is handled in the European Union (EU) and the United States of America (USA). In the EU, the study focused on the GDPR deepening the collection of information on the rights of data subjects, Basic Principles of Processing, Processing of Personal Data, Principle of Privacy for Data Protection, Organizational Requirements and then Legal Justification for Data Processing, while in the USA, by having a completely different approach that in the EU we addressed the CCPA and CDPA in-depth and WPA and NYPA superficially. First, the study focuses on the frm of collection, processing, transfer, violation, and prevention of access of unauthorized persons. Then, a direct comparison between the GDPR and the CCPA was made, addressing data subjects rights, who is protected, the information protected and regulated by the entities. After making the comparison between the GDPR and the CCPA, an interconnection was also made between the results of the previous comparison with cloud computing, with new responsibilities for CSPs as Processor, Customers or Supplier as Controller, Storage and Processing Policies, Data Subject Consent for Cloud Services, Security and Breach, Location, Transfer and Disposal of Data
A relação entre a perturbação de stress pós-traumático e a qualidade de vida e qualidade do sono

Realizou-se um estudo transversal e foram aplicados três instrumentos: Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Checklist – Civilian Version (PCL-C); Índice de Qualidade do Sono de Pittsburgh (PSQI); World Health Organization Quality of Life - bref (WHOQOL-bref); Questionário sociodemográfico. A amostra é constituída por 134 participantes (62.7% mulheres e 37.3% homens; faixa etária mais representada foi entre os 51 e 59 anos (25.4%)); 51.5% da amostra com Perturbação de Stress Pós-Traumático). Os resultados obtidos revelaram a existência de relações significativas entre a gravidade da sintomatologia de Perturbação de Stress Pós-Traumático e a qualidade de vida, bem como com a qualidade do sono. De salientar também, a discrepância encontrada entre os sintomas identificados e a perceção pessoal da perturbação. Este indicador de sub-reconhecimento evidencia a importância de promover uma maior literacia e consciência sobre esta perturbação e os sintomas associados. Verifica-se assim que as alterações do sono, afetam negativamente a qualidade do sono, que por sua vez afeta o processamento emocional dos eventos stressores traumáticos, contribuindo assim para um pior prognóstico da Perturbação de Stress Pós-Traumático que interfere negativamente na qualidade de vida destes indivíduos.The purpose of this study was to assess the relationship between posttraumatic stress disorder and quality of life and sleep. A cross-sectional study was conducted using three instruments: Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Checklist - Civilian Version (PCL-C); Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI); World Health Organization Quality of Life – bref (WHOQOL-bref); Sociodemographic Questionnaire. The sample consisted of 134 participants (62.7% women and 37.3% men; the most represented age group was between 51 and 59 years (25.4%)); 51.5% of the sample had post-traumatic stress disorder. The results obtained revealed significant relationships between the severity of post-traumatic stress disorder symptomatology and quality of life, as well as with sleep quality. Also noteworthy is the discrepancy found between identified symptoms and personal perception of the disorder. This indicator of underrecognition highlights the importance of promoting greater awareness and knowledge of this disorder and its associated symptoms. Thus, it is confirmed that sleep disturbances negatively affect sleep quality, which in turn affects the emotional processing of traumatic stressor events, thereby contributing to a worse prognosis of post-traumatic stress disorder, which negatively affects the quality of life of these individuals
The influence of digital content creators on purchase

This change is increasingly technological and digital and for that reason, digital marketing has been a strong bet for companies to increase their sales. In this sense, digital content creators have been one of the ways for companies to reach their consumers more easily. With this technological evolution, the public has become more receptive to the content that is disseminated on social networks and for this reason digital content creators have been a bet for companies to increase their sales. In this context, the objective of this article is to analyze the influence of digital content creators on the purchase of products and services by consumers. Based on this assumption, a quantitative methodology was followed, through the development and application of a questionnaire to respond to the objectives of this study. The results indicated that the number of social networks that content is watched depends on age, but not on salary. It was also possible to determine, with 95% confidence, that the average number of hours spent watching content in which influencers recommend products/services is between 2.94 and 6.03 hours. Regarding the social network, who has Instagram as the most used social network, mostly follows some creator of digital content. As for the average age, it is lower for those who follow and higher for those who do not follow a digital content creator (33.22 years compared to 43.54 years). On the other hand, people who watch more hours of content on average are those who buy more products and services advertised by influencers (6.26 hours compared to 1.80 hours)
O impacto da pandemia de COVID-19 na saúde mental e regulação emocional : estudo numa amostra de crianças em idade escolar

Experienciar uma pandemia pode ser um evento traumático e pode impactar as redes micro e macrossociais das crianças. O primeiro caso de COVID-19, surgiu em dezembro de 2019 e foi declarado uma pandemia. As pessoas deveriam ficar em isolamento até que houvesse uma solução. O fechamento de escolas e o isolamento social, refletiu-se no desempenho académico, desenvolvimento normativo e saúde psicológica das crianças. Deste modo, este estudo pretende compreender e caracterizar o impacto percecionado pelas crianças, da pandemia de COVID-19, na sua saúde mental e regulação emocional. O desenho do estudo é caracterizado como transversal descritivo com uma amostra por conveniência. O estudo apresenta 180 participantes, com idades iguais ou superiores a 10 anos, a frequentar o 5º ano de escolaridade. Os instrumentos de avaliação são três questionários de autoadministração: o Questionário de Capacidades e de Dificuldades; a Escala de Ansiedade, Depressão e Stresse para Crianças; e o índice de Regulação Emocional para Crianças e Adolescentes. Os resultados demonstram que as crianças percecionam possuir uma boa saúde mental e regulação emocional, além disso, ótimas capacidades de comportamento pró-social. As variáveis avaliadas apresentam valores dentro dos parâmetros considerados normativos para a população portuguesa. A perceção da amostra demonstra que experienciam poucos conflitos com o meio exterior e apresentam competência emocional e capacidade de autoconsciência. A partir dos resultados deste estudo, sugere-se para futuras investigações, um estudo longitudinal que investigue o papel da família e/ou da escola durante uma crise acidental ou os fatores protetores da saúde mental e regulação emocional das crianças que vivenciaram uma pandemia.Children are constantly developing and adapting to new experiences, such as pandemics. Experiencing a pandemic can be a traumatic event and can impact children's micro and macro-social networks. The first case of COVID-19 appeared in December 2019 and was declared a pandemic. People should stay in isolation until there was a solution. The closure of schools and social isolation had an impact on the academic performance, normative development and psychological health of children. Therefore, this study aims to understand and characterize the impact perceived by children of the COVID-19 pandemic on their mental health and emotional regulation. The study design is characterized as descriptive cross-sectional with a convenience sample. The study features 180 participants, aged 10 years or over, attending the 5th year of school. The assessment instruments are three self-administered questionnaires: the Capabilities and Difficulties Questionnaire; the Anxiety, Depression and Stress Scale for Children; and the Emotional Regulation Index for Children and Adolescents. The results demonstrate that children perceive themselves to have good mental health and emotional regulation, as well as excellent pro-social behavior capabilities. The variables evaluated present values within the parameters considered normative for the portuguese population. The sample's perception shows that they experience few conflicts with the external environment and have emotional competence and the capacity for self-awareness. Based on the results of this study, a longitudinal study is suggested for future investigations, to investigate the role of the family and/or school during an accidental crisis or the protective factors for mental health and emotional regulation of children who have experienced a pandemic
Caixilharia da casa burguesa do séc. XIX : da original à contemporânea

Num momento em que se observa um grande movimento no restauro e reabilitação, são inúmeras as questões que se colocam aos profissionais e entidades reguladoras sobre a reabilitação de caixilharias: reabilitar e o porquê de reabilitar? Qual a importância do caixilho? Que tipo de património é este? Qual a importância do restauro e como operar quando não cumpre as solicitações da legislação atual? Qual o máximo de intervenção na tentativa de melhorar o desempenho sem perda de autenticidade? O que permanece e o que pode ser modificado? Quais as consequências destas intervenções?
No intuito de contribuir para o delinear dessas soluções e na sequência de intervenções não adequadas existentes, apresenta-se neste trabalho um caso de estudo de reabilitação dos caixilhos de uma casa burguesa na periferia do Porto. Para tal, foi construído um protótipo de caixilharia de duas folhas e bandeira. O objetivo foi estudá-lo, compará-lo a outros materiais disponíveis no mercado e percebê-lo ao nível de desenho, método construtivo e desempenho. Neste sentido, através do estudo, reflexão e demonstração prática, propõe-se uma metodologia de intervenção na reabilitação da casa Burguesa, da original ao contemporâneo.This dissertation reflects on the characterization and rehabilitation of the window frames of the 19th century Oporto’s Bourgeois Houses.
At a time when there is a great movement in restoration and rehabilitation, there are countless questions that professionals and regulatory bodies face about the rehabilitation of window frames: rehabilitate and why rehabilitate? What is the importance of the frame?
What kind of heritage is this? How important is restoration and how to operate when it does not comply with the requirements of current legislation? What is the maximum intervention in an attempt to improve performance without loss of authenticity? What remains and what can be modified? What are the consequences of these interventions?
In order to contribute to the delineation of these solutions and following inadequate existing interventions, this work presents a case study of the rehabilitation of the frames of a bourgeois house on the outskirts of Porto. To this end, a prototype of two-leaf frames and a flag was built. The objective was to study it, compare it to other materials available on the market and understand it in terms of design, construction method and performance. In this sense, through study, reflection and practical demonstration, a methodology of intervention is proposed in the rehabilitation of the bourgeois house, from the original to the contemporary
