MOVING URBAN FASHION: THE INFLUENCE OF VALUE CREATION ON LOYALTY AND PURCHASE INTENTION IN THE STREETWEAR MARKET / MOVIMENTANDO A MODA URBANA: A INFLUÊNCIA DA CRIAÇÃO DE VALOR NA LEALDADE E INTENÇÃO DE COMPRA NO MERCADO STREETWEAR
This study aims to analyze the influence of perceived value on loyalty and purchase intention within the streetwear apparel market. To achieve this objective, research was conducted in two stages. In the first stage, a survey was conducted to list the most well-known streetwear brands according to the target audience of the study. In the second stage, a questionnaire was administered to analyze the relationship between perceived value, loyalty, and consumer purchase intention. The responses were analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple linear regressions. In the first stage, it was found that Nike SB, Vans, and HIGH Company are the most recalled brands by the sample with a profile similar to those who responded to the questionnaire on perceived value, loyalty, and purchase intention. The second stage revealed that the level of loyalty increases by 0.65 points for each level increase in perceived value, with other variables held constant, when combining the three brands. Differences in results were noted among the brands. For example, in the case of HIGH, an increase in perceived value corresponds to an increase of 0.87 points in loyalty. The results indicated that the constructs analyzed could lead to greater and more frequent sales for clothing brands that effectively work on value creation for their product consumers. These findings can be used by brands as a means to achieve competitive advantage, for example, by understanding that taking actions to increase the perceived value of their products and services can lead to an increase in customer loyalty and purchase intention.O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar a influência da percepção de valor na lealdade e na intenção de compra dentro do mercado de vestuários streetwear. AN ASSESSMENT OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING (EMA) AT SIERRA MINERAL HOLDINGS LIMITED IN SIERRA LEONE
This study gives an assessment of the effectiveness of Environmental Management Accounting (EMA) at Sierra Mineral Holdings Limited in Sierra Leone. Specifically, this study focuses on the present environmental management accounting practices that the management has adopted and how risk is being assessed. The study made use of probabilistic sampling and a research design that caters to both primary and secondary data. The study made use of the mixed methods techniques that were derived from a research paradigm and strategies of inquiry that the researcher adopted, and these, however, justified the research approach. The study adopted descriptive design surveys using well-structured questionnaires and conducted personal interviews to obtain information. This piece of work used mathematical models like Benford’s Law and the KNIME Analytics Platform software to analyze and interpret data. The findings of this study revealed that there is a high awareness of environmental management accounting for the various cost categories and in the assessment of environmental risk in Sierra Leone as a developing country. The study uses an imaginary company’s income statement to explain the conventional cost as it clearly shows how environmental costs are captured in the notes of the financial statements but then lose their identity in overheads, which will prevent management from making informed decisions. Based on the findings of this study, it is prudent that organizations put modalities in place for effective management of environmental management accounting principles. Article visualizations
THE IMPACT OF TAX STRATEGIES ON REVENUE MOBILIZATION IN SIERRA LEONE
As tax revenues became an essential source of funding for governments, the rulers' dependence on these funds created an incentive for them to be accountable to the taxpayers; citizens expected their governments to use tax revenues responsibly and efficiently, leading to improved governance practices and a closer alignment of state policies with the interests and needs of the population. The choices made regarding tax reform strategies have significant implications for societal priorities, income distribution, and the overall relationship between the state and its citizens. This research revealed that periodic evaluations should be carried out by tax experts to establish the performance of each tax head and identify areas of weaknesses. This becomes the basis under which various tax reforms are put in place and the mode in which they are implemented. Findings on tax reforms indicated that more emphasis was put on indirect tax reform, but direct tax heads were given negligible attention. The majority of taxpayers do not get sufficient tax education and this leads to non-compliance on the part of taxpayers. Domestic revenue mobilization is still performing poorly, a larger portion of domestic tax revenue is raised from indirect taxes, domestic revenue mobilization procedures are not effective, and collecting tax revenue from organizations is easier than from individual taxpayers. A huge tax burden rests on the few registered organizations and employees working in the formal sector. However, the general trend indicates an increase in revenue as related to the percentage growth in the GDP, which signals the strength and benefits of tax reforms, although these benefits were stunted by the Ebola and Corona pandemics, respectively. In addition, the findings of this research revealed that the National Revenue Authority needs to lower the Pay As You Earn (PAYE) threshold in order to capture the income of the majority of citizens for tax purposes. Further, there is a need to revise the list of zero-rated supplies, diplomatic privileges, and the list of institutions whose income is tax-exempt. Trade tax reform may be an important component of fiscal reform in developing countries. However, policymakers must also consider the unique challenges posed by informal economies and work to develop tailored solutions that can effectively raise revenue while preserving economic efficiency and welfare. DETERMINANTS OF SOCIAL MEDIA APPLICATION IN TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN CAN THO CITY, VIETNAM
The study aims to analyze the role of social media communication in tourism development in Can Tho City, which is considered a distinctive tourism center of the Mekong Delta region. Survey data were collected from 200 respondents, mainly young people (82.5% aged 18–29), with high educational levels and frequent social media usage—representing the potential customer group for digital tourism. A quantitative research method was applied, including Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and linear regression. The results show that six key social media factors positively influence tourism development: information quality, usefulness, advertising, word-of-mouth, credibility, and social interaction. Among these, information quality (Beta = 0.402) and social media word-of-mouth (Beta = 0.385) are the most influential factors. In addition, Facebook (92%) and TikTok (85.5%) were identified as the most popular platforms for searching and sharing tourism information. The study confirms that social media communication not only guides but also significantly enhances destination attractiveness, particularly through visual content such as images, short videos, and authentic experiences. The findings suggest that the tourism sector in Can Tho should focus on improving digital content quality, effectively leveraging electronic word-of-mouth, and promoting advertising and social interaction to foster sustainable local tourism development. THE INFLUENCE OF RESIDENTIAL INSTABILITY ON NEIGHBORHOOD CRIMES IN DAVAO CITY, PHILIPPINES
Crime within the neighborhood has a negative effect on residents' feelings of safety, increasing stress levels, decreasing community engagement, and damaging overall health and wellness. The research employs a quantitative predictive-causation design to explore how residential instability influences crimes in the neighborhoods of Davao City. Three hundred residents who were selected from a given barangay participated in the study. The level of neighborhood crime and residential instability was measured through descriptive statistical means, such as mean and standard deviation. The findings indicated that the most immediate problem with neighborhood crimes was the breakdown of social control. The most common indicator of home instability was voluntary, unforced moves. Individuals who had to stay in poor residential conditions showed a greater association with crime problems than individuals with stable housing, as indicated through multiple regression analysis, which revealed a moderate-to-strong positive predictive relationship between instability in residence and crime. Such results affirm that residential stability is an essential dimension of community safety. A secure city can be obtained by responding to residential instability through enhanced living conditions, additional community security programs, and housing assistance to low-income households. To fight neighborhood violence in Davao City, this study focuses on the importance of government intervention toward enhanced housing security. Article visualizations
THE INTEGRATION BARRIER OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN CLINICAL PRACTICE: ASSESSING PHYSICIANS' EDUCATIONAL NEEDS REGARDING AI
This study examines the attitudes of Turkish physicians towards Artificial Intelligence (AI), specifically assessing their perceptions, evaluation of its potential, and their concerns and expectations across various demographic groups. A sample of 157 physicians from 36 different medical specialties was selected using a snowball sampling technique. Data were collected through a 20-item questionnaire measuring AI knowledge/perception, potential impact, and concerns/expectations. Analysis was performed using t-tests, one-way ANOVA, and regression analyses. The main finding indicates a negative correlation between seniority and AI knowledge. In particular, a physician's age and length of professional experience significantly and negatively predict their AI Knowledge and Perception scores (R2=.068, p = .001). In other words, as physicians gain more experience, their self-assessed knowledge and perception of AI tend to decrease. In contrast, physicians generally share similar views regarding AI’s overall potential and impact in medicine, as well as their general concerns and expectations. These dimensions were not significantly affected by demographic factors such as gender, age (except for the knowledge dimension), or the type of employing institution (p > .05). In conclusion, the results indicate broad acceptance among physicians of AI’s benefits, but they also highlight significant gaps in AI literacy gaps. Article visualizations
OPPORTUNITIES, CHALLENGES, AND STRATEGIES FOR HIGH-QUALITY DEVELOPMENT OF THE CULTURAL AND TOURISM INDUSTRY IN THE YANGTZE RIVER DELTA UNDER THE BELT AND ROAD INITIATIVE
In recent years, the scale of the cultural and tourism industry in the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) has exceeded 11% of the regional GDP, while related employment has accounted for 10% of the total local workforce. As an emerging green pillar industry with significant growth potential, cultural and tourism development has increasingly served as an “efficiency multiplier” for multiple sectors. How to further advance the high-quality development of the YRD cultural and tourism industry, transform the region into a world-class tourism destination, enhance the happiness index of local residents, and promote global understanding and cooperation through cultural and tourism exchanges, thereby driving higher-quality, more integrated socio-economic development in the region, has become a critical strategic task requiring careful planning and sustained attention. Drawing on literature review and field investigation, this study provides an in-depth analysis of the current challenges and opportunities for the high-quality development of the YRD cultural and tourism industry under the Belt and Road Initiative. It further proposes concrete strategies and development plans for the next 5–10 years, with the aim of raising the industry’s contribution to 20% of the YRD’s GDP (10 trillion RMB) and increasing its share of total employment to 15%. The findings are intended to provide evidence-based reference for policymakers in formulating comprehensive development plans for the YRD cultural and tourism industry. Article visualizations
THE ARAB WOMAN AS A SCHOOL PRINCIPAL AND A LEADER: HOW DO ARAB FEMALE STUDENTS IN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS PERCEIVE THE MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP STYLES OF ARAB FEMALE PRINCIPALS IN ISRAEL?
This study examines the perceptions of Arab female students in higher education institutions regarding the management and leadership styles of Arab female school principals in Israel. Informed by the intersection of gender, culture, and institutional context in the field of school leadership, it analyzes the styles of Arab female principal leaders, their impact on students' academic and personal development, and their influence in the promotion of gender equity. Using qualitative methods of semi-structured interviews and focus groups, 40 Arab female students were consulted. The study also found that Arab female principals tended to adopt hybrid leadership styles to manage their leadership role within the patriarchal context of the Arab sector in Israel. The students described their principals as role models of influential leaders responding to cultural expectations by providing empowerment while remaining mindful of cultural expectations. The study concluded that Arab female principals have the potential to be leaders of change and offer their students as future leaders, despite the considerable structure and social barriers placed on them. Recommendations include culturally responsive leadership training, structural change in educational institutions, and mentor programs to support women developing careers in educational leadership. Theoretically, the study contributes to the debate of gendered leadership in contexts of conservatism, and practically, advocates for the development of educational spaces where all students are given the opportunity to flourish and develop as leaders. HOW DO EMPLOYEES IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR IN ISRAEL PERCEIVE THE INFLUENCE OF THEIR MANAGER'S MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP STYLES ON THEIR LEVELS OF BURNOUT AND THEIR CAPACITY FOR INNOVATION IN THE WORKPLACE?
This study examines how public sector employees perceive the impact of their managers' leadership and management styles on their burnout levels and innovation and creativity, based on growing concern regarding stress, low morale, and underperformance in value-adding roles in resource-constrained environments. Using a qualitative methodology involving a series of semi-structured interviews with 40 employees, the study identifies important themes, including a context of burnout, experience of stress from workload, innovative work behavior (IWB), performance, and relationships. The findings showed that leaders experience emotional exhaustion and inhibited motivation and innovation resulting from autocratic and unsupportive leadership styles, while participative and supportive leaders promote creativity, collaboration, and a level of job satisfaction too. The conclusion is that leadership style has psychosocial and relational dimensions much wider than just managerially oriented, where those dimensions matter to the work and the experience of the employee, personally, and organizationally too. This study advocates for leadership development and education in emotional engagement, inclusion, and stress-reduction strategies, offering practical contributions to public sector reform and theoretical contributions to the leadership and organizational psychology literature.
