USING THE DECISION MATRIX METHOD FOR TRANSPORTATION OF OIL PRODUCTS BY INLAND WATERWAY TRANSPORT
Inland waterway freight transport mainly uses oil and petrol from petroleum products. In the territory of Slovakia, the Danube river is used as a transport route with a dock in Bratislava, by means of which barges transport goods to foreign ports. The advantage of using this mode of transport is low environmental burden and also the price for transport. The disadvantages include dependence on natural conditions (water level) and transport time

THE SPEED BEHAVIOR OF CZECH PROFESSIONAL DRIVERS ACCORDING TO ORDINARY VS. VARIABLE SPEED LIMIT SIGNS: AN ON-ROAD AND DRIVING SIMULATION-BASED COMPARISON
Using the speed of professional truck drivers, the effectiveness of speed limit signs was compared for 1) a temporary variable-message sign that uses LED technology and displays the current speed limit (hereinafter “VSL sign”) and 2) a normal vertical road sign with retroreflective sheeting (hereinafter “ordinary sign”). Measurements were made at two locations in the Czech Republic. Each location provided a different scenario with a different displayed speed limit on both types of signs (60 kph or 80kph). Similar measurements were made in a driving simulation. Drivers were more likely to slow down in the presence of a VSL sign than in the presence of an ordinary sign on a real road, however, no differences were found in the driving simulation. The overall results indicate that VSL signs seem to be respected more than ordinary signs in reducing professional truck drivers’ speed. Therefore, VSL signs may be beneficial as a part of a telematic system and in places with high accident risk
Patrons and clients. The specificity of female clientelism in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth at the turn of the seventeenth century. Research postulates.
Research into the issue of patronage in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, undertaken once by Antoni Mączak, is continuing to this day. However, researchers are focusing their attention primarily on the functioning of informal interrelations in the magnate and nobility environment of the seventeenth century. Although detailed studies have provided us with numerous findings, this remains a wide, extremely complex and rich subject, and researchers constantly stipulate the need for further studies. The vast majority of scholars focus mainly on male patron-client relations. They seek these ties in a court, military and dietine (sejmiki) environment. The subject of the male magnate court and its impact on society seems to be very significant to many historians. Interestingly, the male magnate court was also the place of patrons’ private political actions. A substantial issue of cliental ties involved in the magnates’ economy (latifundia) remains the focus of interest of researchers to this day. Some of them perceive clientelism as a religiously conditioned phenomenon (for example, ecclesiastical foundations), at the same time highlighted by cultural patronage and attempts to build the power of families based on a prestige policy. Research on clientelism in relation to the eighteenth century is not sufficient. The existing research does not cover these complex issues, particularly in relation to the Saxon period. Moreover, these works date back to the previous century and do not take into account any new findings. The Saxon era, when cliental ties became particularly important due to the dysfunctions of the most important state institutions, represents a rich source of research material. Unfortunately, studies on this period are too scarce and discouraging, and only a small group of researchers are currently examining the issue of clientelism in the Saxon era. Speaking of clientelism in the Commonwealth in general terms, one very important issue requires closer examination. This is the fact that while this problem is well recognized and defined in European historical science, in current Polish research there are almost no works which deal with the issue of female patronage and women’s role in forming a cliental background. The few studies devoted to the issue of women’s presence in the development of cliental ties in the Saxon era only indicate the need for further research on the phenomenon of female patronage. However, they do not present a thorough and multifaceted investigation. This is the very reason for our interest in female patronage and willingness to undertake in-depth research on this issue
Residential Network of Franz Joseph Czernin of Chudenitz in Vienna and Prague in the 1720s and the 1730s of the 18th Century
This study deals with the residential network of Franz Joseph Czernin of Chudenitz (1697–1733), namely the urban part of this network. Czech count Czernin possessed many buildings in the capital cities of the historical lands of the Habsburg monarchy (eight in Prague, three in Vienna). Our goal is to discover this network and put it in the context of residential networks of Bohemian aristocrats in this period. This study deals with the residential network of Franz Joseph Czernin of Chudenitz (1697–1733), namely the urban part of this network. The relationship network of nuncios and forms of reward for its members at the imperial court of Rudolf II (1576–1612)
Unlike the Spanish envoys, the papal nuncios made use of individuals who were attached to the imperial court of Rudolf II. These were in particular members of the Privy Council or of the Aulic Council as well as the most influential representatives of the Czech nobility. The networks of the papal nuncios started playing a key role – with regard to the fact that the sovereign gradually stopped paying attention and carrying out the affairs of state – as centres of influence for pursuing papal interests and sources for gathering information. For their services, the members of these networks could require a wide range of specific rewards the papal court could provide them with.Unlike the Spanish envoys, the papal nuncios made use of individuals who were attached to the imperial court of Rudolf II. MEASURING POSSIBLE IMPACT OF GNSS INTERFERENCE ON INSTRUMENT APPROACH ON RWY 06 LZZI
Článok sa venuje problematike rušenia signálu GNNS, pričom autori vykonali experimentálne meranie na letisku Žilina, kde boli umiestené dva zdroje rušenia signálu GPS L1. Experiment mal potvrdiť resp. vyvrátiť obavy z neustále narastajúceho nežiaduceho rušenia signálov GNSS, predovšetkým v blízkosti diaľnic a rýchlostných ciest, respektíve ostatnej dopravnej infraštruktúry. Rušenie signálu GNSS má veľký vplyv na bezpečnosť leteckej dopravy a predovšetkým v súvislosti s masívnym zavádzaním postupov priblíženia GNSS pre letiská.The article deals with the issue of GNNS signal interference. Authors performed experimental measurements at the Žilina airport, where two sources of GPS L1 signal interference were placed. The goal of the experiment was to confirm or to dispel fears of the increasingly undesirable interference of GNSS signals, particularly near highways and expressways, or other transport infrastructure. GNSS signal interference has a major impact on aviation safety and, in particular, in the context. of the massive introduction of GNSS approach procedures for airports
