Students\u27 Mathematical Modeling Ability in Answering 2022 PISA-released items in Scientific Context
Mathematical modeling is one of the essential 21st-century skills that students must possess to connect mathematical concepts with real-world problems. Despite its recognized importance, the performance of Indonesian students in modeling tasks remains low, as reflected in the 2022 PISA results. This study aims to analyze students\u27 mathematical modeling ability in solving scientific-context problems derived from the 2022 PISA-released items. The research used a descriptive qualitative method involving 25 seventh-grade students from SMP IT Raudhatul Ulum. Data were collected through students\u27 written responses to four PISA problems and analyzed using a rubric based on modeling indicators by Blum and Leiss. The findings show that most students—56%—are in the low category of modeling ability, 36% are in the medium category, and only 8% reach the high category. Students struggle to translate real-world problems into mathematical models and interpret results contextually. These findings highlight the need for contextual learning strategies to strengthen students\u27 modeling competencies in scientific settings
Peningkatan Keterampilan Kolaborasi dan Hasil Belajar Kognitif Siswa dengan Model Pembelajaran Group Investigation pada Materi Bioteknologi
Collaboration skills involve planning and working together by considering multiple perspectives, actively contributing, listening, and supporting others. Collaborative activities in learning produce active learning, facilitating an exchange of knowledge and strengthening student understanding. Based on observations, the cognitive learning outcomes of students in class X-K SMAN 1 Turen regarding virus material were incomplete, with an average score of 63. The collaboration skills score is 47.6%, which falls within the beginner category. Therefore, both aspects need improvement. This study aims to improve students\u27 collaboration skills and cognitive learning outcomes about biotechnology through the application of the Group Investigation model. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two implementation cycles. The results indicated that through Group Investigation, students\u27 collaboration skills and cognitive learning outcomes improved. Students\u27 collaboration skills increased from a score of 2.9 (basic) in cycle I to 3.2 (proficient) in cycle II. Cognitive learning outcomes also increased from an N-Gain value of 0.53 (medium) in cycle I to 0.74 (high) in cycle II. Social Support from Neighbourhood Unit (RT) Leaders for Families of Covid-19 Patients in Sumbersari Subdistrict, Sumbersari District, Jember Regency
COVID-19 has significantly affected Indonesia, including East Java and Jember Regency, resulting in high case rates and widespread psychological distress. Social support from RT leaders plays a crucial role in reducing stress, improving mental well-being, strengthening family resilience, and helping prevent transmission through educational, emotional, instrumental, informational, and appraisal support. This study was conducted because research on RT leaders\u27 social support for families of COVID-19 patients and its psychological impact remains largely unexplored. The objective of this study was to analyze the social support provided by RT leaders to families affected by COVID-19. A qualitative design with a phenomenological approach was employed, involving five primary informants and five additional informants through in-depth interviews. The study was conducted from March to November 2021 in Sumbersari Village, Sumbersari District, Jember Regency. The findings of this study revealed that RT leaders played a significant role in providing informational, emotional, instrumental, and appraisal support to the families of COVID-19 patients. Such support enhanced motivation, facilitated recovery, and strengthened psychosocial resilience within the community. Growth and Content of Flavonoids of Mustard Greens (Brassica juncea L.) with Different Humic Acid and Water Content
Water deficiency disrupts metabolic pathways and reduces plant growth. The high demand for Brassica juncea (L.) due to its nutritional value necessitates improved cultivation practices to ensure high-quality yields. Although humic acid is known to support plant productivity, studies examining its interaction with soil moisture levels in B. juncea remain limited. This study aimed to determine the optimal soil moisture level and humic acid dosage for enhancing the growth and flavonoid content of B. juncea (L.). The experiment was conducted using a Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two factors: four levels of humic acid dosage (0 g/kg, 4 g/kg, 8 g/kg, and 12 g/kg) and four watering treatments based on field capacity (FC), namely 20%, 40%, 60%, and 80%, each with four replications. Observations were made 42 days after planting, covering plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, dry weight, and total flavonoid content. Data were analyzed using ANOVA at a 95% confidence level, and significant differences among treatments were further tested using Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that the treatment combination of 20% FC and 12 g/kg humic acid produced the highest values for growth and flavonoid content of B. juncea L. under drought stress conditions, with plant height (23.67 cm), number of leaves (8 leaves), leaf area (1,022 cm²), dry weight (0.55 g), and total flavonoid content (0.108 mg QE/g sample).Water deficiency disrupts metabolic pathways and reduces plant growth. Pastoral Konseling Holistik bagi Lanjut Usia: Pengabdian di GKII Efata Kedembak Air Tabun Sintang Tahun 2024
This community service project aims to improve the well-being of elderly congregants through the implementation of holistic pastoral counseling at GKII Efata Kedembak Air Tabun Sintang in 2024. The program was carried out using observation, interviews, individual and group counseling, and active involvement of families and the church community in the accompaniment process. The counseling approach integrated psychospiritual support, problem-solving skills training, and Christian faith development to provide comprehensive care for the elderly. The outcomes indicated positive developments in participants\u27 mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects, as reflected in stronger social relationships, reduced anxiety, and increased enthusiasm and satisfaction in daily activities. The active role of congregation members, family support, and internal church collaboration played key roles in the program\u27s success. The findings recommend holistic pastoral counseling as an effective model of community service to strengthen the resilience and quality of life of the elderly within church environments.
 
Hak Ulayat Ditengah Arus Investasi: Tantangan dan Harapan bagi Masyarakat Adat Nusa Tenggara Timur
Tujuan dari pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) di lokasi pada Fakultas Hukum Universitas Katolik Widya Mandira untuk memberikan kuliah Hukum, penyuluhan, pemahaman, serta edukasi kepada Civitas Akademi Fakultas Hukum Universitas Kaltolik Widya Mandira Kupang –Nusa Tenggara Timur. Dengan metode interaktif Nusa Tenggara Timur memiliki banyak komunitas masyarakat dengan kearifan lokal kuat, desa adat, dan wilayah adat yang cukup luas. Investasi mulai dari pertambangan, perkebunan, pariwisata, proyek infrastruktur dan pengembangan kawasan strategis mengakibatkan arus investasi membawa peluang dan risiko bagi masyarakat di Nusa Tenggara Timur. Hasil kuliah umum mendorong penelitian dan PKM Civitas Akademik Universitas Katolik Widya Mandira Kupang Nusa Tenggara Timur lebih lanjut melakukan penguatan masyarakat adat melalui pendidikan hukum, workshop, pelatihan, dokumentasi, advokasi peningkatan kesadaran masyarakat umum tentang pentingnya hak ulayat sehingga meminimalisir tumpang tindih klaim, dan melihat dampak investasi terhadap hak ulayat keberhasilan model perlindungan wilayah adat, dan pengembangan model local adaptif
Pendidikan Agama Kristen dan Literasi Media: Membangun Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis di Era Digital
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan integrasi literasi media dalam Pendidikan Agama Kristen (PAK) sebagai strategi dalam membangun keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa di era digital. Dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kasus deskriptif, penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap siswa kelas XI di salah satu SMK Negeri di Kupang melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen. Keabsahan data dijaga melalui triangulasi teknik dan pemeriksaan oleh informan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi literasi media dalam PAK membantu siswa tidak hanya dalam memahami iman secara normatif, tetapi juga melatih mereka untuk menganalisis informasi, membedakan fakta dan opini, serta menilai kredibilitas sumber digital. Nilai-nilai Kristiani seperti kejujuran, keadilan, dan tanggung jawab terbukti menjadi kerangka etis dalam penggunaan media. Selain itu, strategi pembelajaran berbasis proyek, kolaboratif, diskusi, dan pemanfaatan media yang beragam terbukti efektif dalam menumbuhkan kreativitas, refleksi kritis, dan solidaritas etis. Kontribusi utama penelitian ini adalah penegasan bahwa PAK tidak hanya membentuk moralitas, sebagaimana ditunjukkan dalam penelitian sebelumnya, tetapi juga menyediakan model integratif yang kontekstual dan aplikatif untuk membangun keterampilan berpikir kritis berbasis iman. Implikasi praktisnya menuntut adanya kurikulum PAK yang lebih adaptif serta sinergi antara sekolah, orang tua, dan gereja dalam mendampingi siswa menghadapi arus informasi digital.This research aims to apply media literacy integration methods in Christian religious education, with the main focus on increasing students\u27 abilities in analyzing information critically and avoiding the spread of inaccurate information. The hope is that the younger generation can become wise and responsible individuals in managing information. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method approach with a case study of 10 class XI students of SMK Negeri 4 Kupang who were selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. The research results show that Christian religious education plays a very important role in equipping students with the ability to analyze information, distinguish facts from opinions, and avoid misleading information. Christian values such as honesty, justice, and responsibility are the main basis for the wise use of digital media. Project-based, collaborative, and discussion learning strategies have proven to be effective in improving students\u27 critical thinking abilities. Through projects related to media literacy, students not only practice Christian values but are also trained to use media in creative and responsible ways. This learning model that is integrated with media literacy strengthens students\u27 ability to assess the credibility of information and disseminate positive content. Therefore, this research recommends the integration of media literacy in the Christian religious education curriculum and emphasizes the importance of collaboration between teachers, schools, and parents in supporting the development of students\u27 critical thinking skills in the digital era
Penerapan Teori Arthur Wright Combs Melalui Pendidikan Agama Kristen Dalam Membentuk Psikomotorik Siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 2 Lahomi
Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi pada masalah kualitas pembelajaran pendidikan agama Kristen, orientasi capaian pada ranah kognitif siswa dan ketidakseimbangan antara pengetahuan dan pembentukan keterampilan siswa. Selain itu, siswa tidak diberikan ruang untuk berpikir dalam mengembangkan keterampilan yang dimilikinya baik melalui proses pembelajaran, kegiatan penelitian dan latihan-latihan. Teori belajar Arthur Wright Combs menekankan desain pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada pembentukan keterampilan siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan konsep teori Arthur Wright Combs dan penerapan dalam pendidikan agama Kristen serta pembentukan psikomotorik siswa di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 2 Lahomi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskripsi dengan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara, observasi dan tinjauan literatur. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 2 Lahomi dengan informan guru dan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teori belajar Arthur Wright Combs dapat membentuk aspek psikomotorik siswa melalui pembelajaran pendidikan agama Kristen, dengan membimbing siswa secara aktif dan kreatif, di mana guru berperan sebagai fasilitator, berorientasi pada hasil praktis, ketersediaan sarana prasarana dan desain pembelajaran yang memadai, motivasi intrinsik, kebebasan dan eksplorasi. Paper ini dilatar belakangi oleh konsep pembelajaran pendidikan agama Kristen yang berorientasi pada capaian kognitif siswa dan target materi pelajaran selesai serta ketidakseimbangan antara pengetahuan dengan pembentukan keterampilan siswa. Selain itu, di dalam proses pembelajaran tidak diberikan ruang kepada siswa berpikir dalam mengembangkan keterampilan yang dimilikinya baik melalui proses pembelajaran, kegiatan penelitian dan latihan-latihan. Di dalam pembelajaran, capaian tidak hanya fokus pada aspek kognitif melainkan aspek afektif dan psikomotorik. Paper ini menyoroti pembentukan psikomotorik siswa melalui penerapan teori belajar Arthur Wright Combs, dengan melihat budaya pembelajaran yang hanya fokus pada satu aspek pembentukan tanpa mendesain tujuan pembelajaran yang berorientasi pada aspek praktis yakni pembentukan dan pengembangan psikomotorik siswa. Paper ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan bagaimana pembentukan psikomotorik siswa melalui penerapan teori Arthur Wright Combs dalam pendidikan agama Kristen. Paper ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskripsi dengan merujuk pada hasil wawancara dan literatur yang relevan dengan penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menguraikan bahwa penerapan teori belajar Combs dapat membentuk aspek psikomotorik siswa melalui pembelajaran pendidikan agama Kristen yang dilakukan dengan kreatif oleh guru agama Kristen
Implementation Analysis of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Risk Mitigation Strategies in Securities Companies in the Digital Era
This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and operational risk mitigation strategies in securities companies in the digital era. Amid the high dependence on technology, disruptions to trading systems have become a serious threat to business stability. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with primary data obtained through interviews and observations, as well as secondary data in the form of financial reports and capital market statistics. Risk analysis is carried out using a likelihood–impact matrix based on Financial Services Authority regulations. The results show that operational risks in the form of technical disruptions (glitches) in online trading applications and reputation risk occupy the highest risk level (high risk). System reliability, including the Sharia Online Trading System (SOTS), is proven to be a fundamental factor in maintaining investor confidence. In addition, disciplined risk management implementation contributes positively to net profit growth and long-term business sustainability. Perancangan Mesin Press Scrab Dari Mesin Bubut Dengan Menggunakan Metode Quality Function Deployment
ABSTRAK Mesin press scrab adalah alat yang dirancang untuk menekan serpihan hasil penyayatan mesin bubut yang tidak teratur, yang sering menyebabkan penumpukan limbah gram yang berantakan, membuat area pembuangan menjadi tidak rapi. Proses pembuatan Mesin press scrab logam ini melalui tiga tahap utama: Pengumpulan data, pembuatan desain, dan pengujian desain. Mesin ini bertujuan untuk menekan gram menjadi balok, sehingga menghemat ruang pembuangan dan membuatnya lebih rapi dan tertata. Mesin ini menggunakan sistem transmisi manual, di mana ulir diputar secara manual dengan pegangan sehingga menghasilkan gerakan linear ke bawah untuk menekan serpihan. Wadah penampungan serpihan memiliki ukuran 49,5 cm x 49,5 cm x 100 cm. Dari hasil percobaan, mesin ini mampu mereduksi serpihan hingga menjadi 42,9% dari ukuran aslinya. ABSTRACT Press scrab machine is a device designed to compress irregularly shaped chips produced by lathes, which often cause cluttered chip waste accumulation, making disposal areas untidy. The development process of this metal chip press machine involves three main stages: data collection, design creation, and design testing. The machine aims to compress chips into blocks, thereby saving disposal space and organizing the area more efficiently. This machine utilizes a manual transmission system, where a screw is manually turned with a handle to produce a downward linear motion to compress the chips. The chip container measures 49.5 cm x 49.5 cm x 100 cm. Experimental results how that this machine can reduce chip volume by up to 42.9% of its original size.
