    Get PDF
The problem with cultivating the sugarcane bud set technique is how to stimulate the rapid formation of roots and shoots. The effort that can be made is by providing growth regulators. This research aims to determine the interaction between giving NAA concentration (Napthalene Acetic Acid) and soaking time on the initial growth of sugarcane bud set seedlings. This research was conducted using a Completely Randomised Factorial Design with two factors. Factor I is the NAA concentration, which consists of four levels: zero ppm (A1), 50 ppm (A2), 100 ppm (A3), and 150 ppm (A4). Factor II is the length of soaking, which consists of four levels: 0 minutes (S1), 20 minutes (S2), 40 minutes (S3), and 60 minutes (S4). The research results showed that (1) there was an interaction between NAA concentration and soaking time, which had a significant effect on the number of leaves. The best treatment combination is an NAA concentration of 50 ppm (A2) and a soaking time of 20 minutes (S2). (2) The NAA concentration has no significant effect on any of the observed variables. (3) Soaking time has a significant effect on root volume, with the optimal treatment being 20 minutes of soaking time (S2).The problem that exists in cultivating the sugarcane bud set technique is how to stimulate the formation of roots and shoots quickly. THE CHANGE IN SOUTH KOREA\u27S FOREIGN POLICY TOWARDS ASEAN COUNTRIES THROUGH THE NEW SOUTHERN POLICY PLUS

    Get PDF
This study identifies the factors influencing the evolution of South Korea\u27s foreign policy towards ASEAN through the New Southern Policy Plus (NSPP). Despite the initial New Southern Policy\u27s (NSP) successes, the Moon Jae-in administration introduced seven new initiatives for more focused cooperation. Employing foreign policy change theories, this research argues that the shift was driven by both international and domestic factors. Internationally, the Covid-19 pandemic presented strategic opportunities for South Korea to deepen its engagement with ASEAN. Domestically, liberal political leadership and policy entrepreneurs likely aligned internal preferences with the NSPP\u27s objectives. Utilizing secondary data, the study concludes that these modifications represent \u27adjustment change\u27 and \u27program change.\u27 This indicates a shift in implementation strategies to better suit the changing regional context, without altering the fundamental goals of the original policy

    Get PDF
Renewable Energy based Hands-on experimental kits are essential for enhancing student engagement and conceptual understanding in physics education. This study evaluates the feasibility of a Solar-Powered Direct Current (SP-DC) experimental kit, focusing on its effectiveness, relevance, and endurance as perceived by users. A quantitative design was employed using a closed-ended questionnaire comprising 14 items. Participants (n=79) consisted of undergraduate students from Universitas Kristen Indonesia (n=36) and high school students from SMA N 11 Jakarta (n=43). Prior to completing the questionnaire, students engaged in assembling the SP-DC kit and measuring current and voltage. Data were collected between June 2022 and June 2023 and analyzed using the Rasch model through Winstep version 5.9.00. Fit validity was determined by item and person statistics (MNSQ, ZSTD, PTMEA), while descriptive analysis included item measures and score distributions. Findings confirmed that all questionnaire items met Rasch model validity criteria, with PTMEA correlations above 0.7. In terms of effectiveness, participants reported favorable perceptions of ease of use and assembly, though aspects such as portability and storage required improvement. Relevance was demonstrated through the kit’s role in supporting understanding of series and parallel circuits, motivating interest in renewable energy, and strengthening connections between theory and practice. Endurance analysis revealed that the kit was generally durable and safe, though operational robustness could be enhanced. The SP-DC experimental kit is a feasible educational tool that supports effectiveness, curricular relevance, and endurance. These results suggest the kit’s potential for broader application in both secondary and higher education

TEACHER ROTATION FOR CIVIL SERVANTS IN SOUTH KALIMANTAN PROVINCE ROTASI GURU PEGAWAI NEGERI SIPIL DI PROVINSI KALIMANTAN SELATAN

    Get PDF
The policy of rotating Civil Servant (PNS) teachers in South Kalimantan Province was introduced to address the urgent need for a more balanced distribution of educators, especially given the disparities between urban and remote regions. This study seeks to assess both the effectiveness and the implementation of the rotation policy within the provincial government using a descriptive qualitative method and the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation framework. Data collection involved in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis, while data were analyzed using Creswell’s techniques with the aid of NVivo15 software. The findings reveal that the implementation of teacher rotation in South Kalimantan still encounters significant challenges, such as inconsistencies between Dapodik and Simpeg staffing databases, a shortage of replacement teachers particularly in remote locations and the influence of vested interests that undermine merit-based principles. Most rotation applications are driven by personal reasons, including residence and family considerations, with only a few aimed at refreshing placements. These results indicate that the objective of achieving equitable teacher distribution has not been fully realized, as ASN teachers remain concentrated in urban areas. Thus, there is a pressing need to strengthen governance, harmonize personnel data systems, and ensure more transparent oversight, so that the rotation policy can effectively promote equitable teacher distribution and enhance the quality of education across South Kalimantan

This study aims to examine the success of implementing Congklak 4.0, a digital transformation of the traditional Congklak game, as a learning medium based on the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach to improve numeracy literacy and mathematical concept understanding of elementary school students. The research employed a quasi-experimental design involving 62 students from two elementary schools in Malang, Indonesia, divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected through pretest and posttest instruments on numeracy literacy and conceptual understanding, supported by student response questionnaires. The results showed a significant improvement in the experimental group using Congklak 4.0 compared to the control group, with an average N-Gain of 0.67 (moderate to high category) for numeracy literacy and 0.71 (high category) for conceptual understanding. In addition, 87% of students expressed positive responses to the integration of Congklak 4.0 in mathematics learning, highlighting increased motivation and engagement. These findings indicate that Congklak 4.0 not only preserves cultural heritage by digitalizing a traditional game but also provides an effective, interactive, and enjoyable tool for mathematics learning. The study suggests that integrating digital traditional games with RME can be an innovative strategy to support numeracy literacy improvement programs in elementary schools

The development of social media opens new opportunities for innovation in learning, particularly in chemistry subjects. Instagram, as one of the most popular platforms, holds great potential to be used as a learning medium because it is easily accessible and capable of presenting engaging visual content. The small-scale chemistry (SSC) ethnoscience-based practicum approach is considered effective in overcoming the limitations of school laboratory facilities by using fewer chemicals, being cost-efficient, safe, and environmentally friendly. The voltaic cell, as one of the electrochemistry topics, is still often perceived as difficult for students to understand if taught only theoretically, thus requiring more practical and relevant learning media. This study aims to analyze the need for integrating Instagram into small-scale chemistry practicum on the topic of voltaic cells. The method employed was a descriptive survey by distributing questionnaires to students and chemistry teachers in several senior high schools in Kepanjen Regency. The results indicate that students found Instagram helpful for discussions and independent learning, while teachers considered SSC effective in reducing challenges related to costs, waste, and limited facilities. The majority of respondents supported the development of SSC-based learning media integrated with Instagram to improve students’ understanding of the voltaic cell concept
