    No full text
Recently, Internet advertising market has expanded with the popularization of the Internet. In this paper, I analyze the definition and function of advertising. Then, I indicate the characteristics of Internet advertising as compared with mass media advertising and the differences among Internet advertising.departmental bulletin pape

Fracture Strength for Bonded Interface of Al/SUS Structural Transition Joint

Tanks of a spherical tank type LNG carrier are supported by cylindrical shells by the name of "skirt". On the one hand aluminum (Al) alloy (A5083) is used for the upper part of this skirt, on the other hand stainless steel (SUS) is used for the lower part. In this case, because Al and SUS are not able to be welded directly, therefore Al/SUS STJ (Structural Transition Joint) is used to connect these two kinds of materials. Recently, at Nagasaki Research & Development Center, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd., the vacuum roll bonding method for producing the new-type Al/SUS STJ industrially is developed and investigated instead of clad material produced by explosive welding method. In this paper, in order to quantify the fracture strength of this new-type Al/SUS STJ produced by the vacuum roll bonding method, a series of round bar tension tests and cruciform welded joint tension tests were performed by using the three kinds of STJ produced under the three conditions. And, in order to investigate the fracture strength and breaking type of this new-type STJ in more detail, three-dimensional elastoplastic FEM analysis was performed. As a result of the investigations described above, the following conclusions were obtained: (1) The faying surfaces of all three kinds of Al/SUS STJ used for the tests have almost equal strength as the tensile strength of Al alloy (R.T. : about 110 N/m㎡, -165℃: about 150 N/m㎡). (2) The faying surfaces of all three kinds of Al/SUS STJ used for the tests have the about 3.8 times strength safety factor at -165℃ compared with the overestimated design stress for the skirt of the spherical tank type LNG carrier. (3) Plastic deformation of Al alloy part just on the faying surface is restrained by SUS having the higher strength and rigidity because Al and SUS are bonded directly, therefore very high axial stress and hydrostatic stress occurrerd on this Al alloy part of the Al/SUS STJ produced by vacuum roll bonding method. (4) This new-type Al/SUS STJ can show the enough strength, because all kinds of fractures are able to occur only after the Al alloy part just on the faying surface is deformed sufficiently. (5) All three kinds of Al/SUS STJ used for tests are certified to be practicable for the tank skirt part of a spherical tank type LNG carrier from the viewpoint of the fracture strength.departmental bulletin pape

An Approach to Optimize Communication for Irregular Array References

    No full text
Communication set generation significantly influences the performance of parallel programs. However, seldom works gives attention to the communication generation problem for irregular applications. In this paper, we will explain how support to generate communication set for irregular array references in loops. We propose a compile-time algorithm by introducing some symbolic analysis techniques. In our symbolic analysis system, a set of symbolic solutions of a symbolic expression system is solved by limiting some restrictions. For this proposal, we introduce some symbolic analysis algorithms to fix solutions in a system of equalities and inequalities. Finally, we show experimental results on a parallel computer CM-5 that validate our approach.departmental bulletin pape

Principles and Simulations of Basic High Bar Exercises

    Get PDF
Principles and simulation results of basic high bar exercises such as swing and circle are reported. Good timings of body shrinking and stretching to speed up or down the exercises were investigated. By using the results, fundamental and effective swing and circle exercises were simulated successfully by the computer. The results will be useful in the more complicated high bar simulations.departmental bulletin pape
