Urban Formative Process and Struture of NAGASAKI as a Port-City

    Get PDF
It can be said that Nagasaki is the most famous and special port in the early modern period of Japan. Therefore many studies have accumulated on the problem of the city's urban formative process. But, in my view, the problem has not been clarified yet in the main point. Moreover, the arguments in detail have led in the wrong direction. So I tried to investigate the problem anew in this paper, based on critical examination of related documents and past studies through the viewpoint of urban history. As a result, Nagasaki will be recognized rightly as one of the typical ‘port-city’ in the strict sense of the word.departmental bulletin pape

    No full text
The places of Nagasaki-Kunchi dedication dances are arranged in three places of the outskirts and one central place of old town. This thing makes use of natural topographic features of Nagasaki city and becomes an arrangement to raise a festival effect. As a result of actual place investigation, as for the stage constitution, open stage procedures are adopted, and an important point is put by one feeling of a performance person and a spectator and easiness of appreciation. The balcony constitution is arranged by less than 15m that we can appreciate a facial expression of a performance person and close gesture, and the average seat grade is gentle grade of 11.2 degrees, and it seems to be easy to watch stage, and seat grade is adjusted to become equal to or less than grade of Shinto shrine step.departmental bulletin pape

Knowledge Acquisition from the Contingency Table and its Application to Fuzzy Reasoning

    Get PDF
The purpose of this research is to get a small amount of meaningful knowledge from the data that is obtained through questionnaire survey etc. Frequently, the questionnaire results are summarized to the form of the contingency tables. So, we have examined the knowledge acquisition from the contingency tables. We have adopted AIC and genetic algorithms to summarize contingency tables. Also, we used the factorial representation as the methods that various contingency tables are expressed. We applied the proposed methods to the iris discrimination problem and could get four rules. Also, doing fuzzy reasoning by using the obtained rules we could confirm effectiveness of proposed methods.departmental bulletin pape
