    Get PDF
This study focuses on analyzing the quality of service (QoS) and measuring the quality of the internet network on the Starlink network In Karya Jaya Village, this study uses the QoS parameter measurement method. The parameters used include delay, jitter, packet loss, and throughput. This measurement is done using the Wireshark application to monitor and capture the traffic of data packets in the network. This application provides detailed information about network performance and can identify potential problems in the data transmission process.  The throughput measurement results  showed that the throughput  was higher during sunny weather, with a value of 74k, compared to the rainy weather time which only reached 158k. Despite the difference in throughput values, the two values still showed "Excellent" performance. Throughput is one of the main indicators that shows efficient network performance. These findings offer a unique contribution by providing real-world case-based analysis relevant to the needs of modern networks. &nbsp

    Get PDF
Insects hold significant importance in human life, exhibiting harmful and beneficial effects. Harmful insects, such as plant pests and disease vectors, threaten humans and animals, while beneficial insects contribute positively to human welfare and environmental health. They serve as agents of decomposition, recycle organic materials, and play a crucial role in the pollination of plants. Among these, bees are notable pollinators. Honeybees, in particular, are environmentally friendly insects that substantially benefit humans due to their role in plant pollination. This research was conducted using a Randomized Group Design (RAK) outlined by Steel and Torrie (1993), which involved seven treatments—six consisting of artificial feed and one control group. The findings indicate that the development of Apis cerana honey beekeeping, utilizing the Doolittle method, effectively increased the number of queen cells in royal jelly, with the most successful treatment being E, which had a ratio of 2:1 (200 grams of water to 100 grams of cane sugar). However, statistical analysis revealed no significant differences between this treatment and the other

Agricultural land in Gorontalo had 60% suitable soil texture for maize crops. This shows the importance of agronomic interventions to support the optimization of maize production. The purpose of this study was 1) To assess the level of land suitability for corn cultivation in Patilanggio District; 2) To conduct a spatial analysis (map) of land suitability for corn cultivation in Patilanggio District; 3) To formulate strategies for sustainable corn land management in Patilanggio District. This research was conducted in one district, namely Patilanggio, located in Pohuwato Regency, which is known as the corn cultivation base area. The research method used site survey and soil sampling using a soil ring sampler, then tested and analyzed at the UGM Geography Soil Laboratory. The stages of GIS data analysis and synthesis include: (1) on-screen digitization; (2) overlaying tentative maps. Data analysis for land suitability was conducted using LCLP (Land Classification and Land Use Planning) software. The results showed that the level of land suitability varied, requiring agronomic interventions to improve land suitability. This level of land suitability indicates that Patilanggio District has considerable potential for corn cultivation. Spatial land suitability maps provide an overview of potential areas for corn development. Soil conservation-based land management strategies need to be implemented to maintain productivity and ecosystem sustainability, including crop rotation, balanced fertilization, and the use of adaptive high-yielding varieties

Leaves as an Indicator of Potential Production of Palm Sap in Sugar Palm Plants (Arenga pinnata Merr) in South Tapanuli Regency

    Get PDF
The sugar palm (Arenga pinnata Merr.) is a valuable natural resource, particularly as a source of sap that can be processed into palm sugar. However, its utilization remains suboptimal, as sugar palm plants in South Tapanuli Regency continue to grow wild and have not been cultivated intensively. The morphological characteristics of these plants, such as the number of leaf stalks, are believed to influence sap production. This study aims to identify the relationship between the number of leaf stalks and sap production in South Tapanuli Regency. The study employed a survey method and simple linear regression analysis to investigate the relationship between the number of leaf stalks and sap production. The results indicated a positive correlation between the number of leaf stalks and sap production; specifically, an increase in leaf stalks corresponded to higher sap production. The highest sap production, recorded at 10.27 liters per day, was observed with more than 21 leaf stalks, while the lowest sap production, at 6.78 liters per day, was noted with 1 to 5 leaf stalks

    Get PDF
Soil salinity is a significant limiting factor in plant growth, particularly in areas affected by salt accumulation. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of underground drainage in reducing soil salinity through the leaching method and its impact on the growth of spinach (Amaranthus tricolor). The experiment involved applying saline soil mixtures at ratios of 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% alongside non-saline soil while utilizing underground drainage to expedite the salt leaching process. The parameters observed included pH, electrical conductivity (EC), sodium (Na) content, and plant growth. Observations were conducted at 1, 10, 20, and 30 days, with three replications for each treatment. The results indicated that underground drainage significantly reduced soil salinity levels in a relatively short period. The decrease in salt concentration positively influenced spinach growth, particularly in treatments with lower saline soil mixture ratios. These findings suggest that underground drainage can serve as an effective solution to mitigate agricultural land salinity, thereby enhancing plant productivity
