EuroCRIS has come a long way since it was officially founded on the 13th of June 2002. The presentation divides its history in three broad stages: "the formative years" (1991-2001), "formalisation and growth in Europe" (2002-2015) and "reaching out beyond Europe" (2016-now). Some reflections on the strong and weak traits of euroCRIS and the CERIF standard are finally shared

No full textExtended abstract presented at the CRIS2022 conference in Dubrovnik.-- Event programme available at https://cris2022.srce.hr/#section-program15 slides.-- Presentation delivered within the CRIS2022 Business SessionIn 1990-2005 the number of Polish Higher Education students increased massively from 403 thousand to 1 million 954 thousand. In parallel with this quantitative increase in teaching, the academic institutions undergo significant qualitative improvement in scientific activities. The Polish government supported this transformation by the introduction in 1991 of KBN – State Committee for Scientific Research to administer a performance-based research funding system. After a decade of expert-based evaluation run by KBN, a new body KEJN - Committee for Evaluation of Scientific Entities replaced KBN. It oversaw two assessments for 2009-2012 and 2013-2016, awarding categories for organisational units of scientific institutions, which impact their standing and funding. A new regulation from 2018, the Constitution for Science, changed the scope of categorisations to scientific disciplines within institutions and established rules for the assessment for 2017-2020. This law also directly connected the rights of institutions to award scientific titles with obtained categories. Last but not least, the Constitution for Science replaced KEJN with another body KEN - Commission of Evaluation of Science. COVID-response regulations extended the third evaluation to include 2021

It relies on the LA Referencia Platform for processing heterogeneous data coming from diverse sources, and the VIVO Platform for data visualization. We developed an ETL strategy for integrating both platforms, making the data flow from a relation representation to an RDF knowledge graph which follows a VIVO Ontology-based semantic model, leveraging the advantages of both tools while maintaining the data consistency between them, through a single command-line synchronization

As such, task areas and competencies of Current Research Information System (CRIS) managers have been increasingly recognized as important topics of professional development and study. Research on human resource development indicates that competencies can be integrated into a comprehensible, application-related, and future-oriented framework: a so called competency model. In this paper we intend to empirically enrich and concretize earlier work on a competency model for RIM as an emerging task area. The model is ultimately intended to represent different competency requirements and job profiles
