The actual condition of meals and improvement measures for male students in Kyushu Kyoritsu University baseball team compared with athletes' standard values

Thirty-two male students from Kyushu Kyoritsu University baseball club were examined. At the same time, a dietary survey, body composition and blood biochemistry were performed. The results were compared with athletes' reference values.
In terms of intake by nutrient, all nutrients including energy were deficient. In particular, the lack of calcium, iron, vitamins A, B1, B2, and C was remarkable. In addition, in the intake by food group, all 11 items other than cereal and meat were inadequate. Furthermore, fruits, milk and green-yellow vegetables were rarely provided in the dormitory meals. Meat was provided mostly with chicken, and fish and soy products were provided only a few times.
These inadequate intakes led to a lack of nutrients required by athletes. As a result of this, the lack of nutrient intake was invited, and the bias of the food group was discovered as a problem. We hope to improve dormitory meals in the future based on this result.departmental bulletin pape

Viscosity change after adding thickener to tube feeding under high pH artificial gastric juice
Get PDFKokura Memorial Hospital in Kitakyushu City has cardiac surgery and cardiovascular medicine, and there are many inpatients with cardiovascular diseases such as ischemic heart disease and cerebrovascular disease. They take aspirin to prevent recurrence, and proton pump inhibitors (PPI) are prescribed to reduce a risk of gastrointestinal bleeding.
However, it becomes a problem that diarrhea and reflux cannot be prevented due to the inability to use a pectin-containing enteral nutrient that is semi-solid in the acidic conditions of the stomach.
Therefore, in this study, a thickener was added to the tube feeding, and changes in viscosity were examined by reproduction with artificial gastric juice. When a thickener was added to a pectin-free tube nutrient under the conditions of artificial gastric juice assuming the stomach of a patient taking PPI, the viscosity increased uniformly more than 500 mPas / sec 10 minutes later. Actual condition survey of a storage food by area cooperation business
Get PDFObjective：Mizumaki-cho, Onga-gun, Fukuoka Prefecture is a long and narrow town along the Onga River, a first-class river. Two-thirds of the town is a flood inundation area, and there are many landslide hazard areas. Mizumaki is in danger of a disaster, calling for food storage at least three days at home, but the situation has not been grasped. Therefore, in this study, as part of the disaster food recipe collaborative research project, a questionnaire survey of stockpiled foods was conducted for the purpose of surveying consciousness of townspeople during disasters.
Methods：We conducted a survey from May to June 2017. The subjects were 1151 parents of five elementary schools in Onga-gun, Fukuoka Prefecture, and conducted an anonymous self-administered questionnaire survey.
Results/Conclusion：The questionnaire collection rate was 50.5%. Regarding the necessity of stockpiling, 91.5% answered that they thought it necessary, and it was found that most households felt the need for stockpiling. However, as a result of investigating the stockpiling situation, 46.8% of households felt the need for stockpiling and actually stocked, but 53.2% of the households did not stockpile. As a result of analyzing the existence of stockpile by age, the number of people who did not stockpile was significantly higher in the younger generations under 39 years old. 56.9% of households responded that they didn't stockpile,“ There is no
place to place”．As a result of analyzing the reason for not stockpiling according to the number of households, 53.5% of the households with 5 or more households answered that there is no place to place, and the more the number of households, the more difficult it is to secure the place to put The current situation became clear.
