    No full text
This study aims to describe how to provide stimulation in learning to improve social development in students with special needs. The method used is descriptive qualitative research with data collection through structured interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that stimulation of social development in students with special needs can be done through playing, singing, storytelling, and color recognition activities with flash card media. These activities help students develop their social skills gradually. However, student development shows variations that are influenced by differences in individual backgrounds, so teachers need to apply a more personal approach. Evaluation of activities is carried out periodically to identify effectiveness and adjust learning strategies. This study provides insight into the importance of the role of teachers in creating an inclusive learning environment and supporting the social development of students with special need

    Get PDF
The rapid advancement of Virtual Reality (VR) technology presents a timely opportunity to enhance spatial abilities—skills fundamental to success in various educational and professional domains. This study addresses the urgent need to understand how VR can be effectively utilized in educational contexts to support spatial skill development. Employing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) methodology, this research synthesizes findings from 26 peer-reviewed studies published between 2013 and 2022, sourced from Scopus, ScienceDirect, and SAGE Journals. The objectives are threefold: (1) to assess the effectiveness of VR in improving spatial abilities, (2) to identify at least three key factors influencing VR’s impact, and (3) to examine how initial spatial ability levels affect learning outcomes. The findings reveal that VR significantly enhances spatial skills, particularly mental rotation, and is most beneficial for learners with initially low spatial ability. Furthermore, three primary factors affecting VR effectiveness are identified: the level of interactivity, task alignment with learning objectives, and user immersion. From an affective perspective, VR also increases learner motivation and engagement, driven by its immersive and realistic environment. This research contributes to the growing body of knowledge on educational technology by offering evidence-based insights into the conditions under which VR can be most effective. The findings hold practical implications for educators, curriculum designers, and technology developers aiming to design targeted interventions for spatial skill development using VR

Publication trends on proportional reasoning research: A bibliometric analysis using Scopus database

    Get PDF
Proportional reasoning ability is an important ability for students to understand mathematical concepts. Much research has been conducted on this capability, but it is necessary to map existing research to provide a clearer picture of future research topics. This research aims to provide a bibliometric overview of trends in the use of proportional reasoning skills in mathematics teaching research. The method in this research is bibliometric analysis, which aims to analyze and classify bibliographic material by presenting a representative summary of literature in the Scopus database. The search was carried out using the keyword "proportional reasoning" in the search menu in the Scopus.com database. ScientoPy software analyzes the author's name, number of document citations, document title, publication year, document source, publisher, and document type Research trends in proportional reasoning show a significant increase, with 356 publications in Scopus, peaking at 32 in 2023. Major contributors include the United States, Turkey, and Spain, with recent studies focusing on "teacher knowledge." Influential works by Liberali et al., Atkinson et al., and Tobin & Capie address numeracy, multimedia learning, and logical thinking, respectively. These findings suggest that improving teacher knowledge and using effective multimedia tools could enhance instruction and research in proportional reasoning. Future research should explore innovative teaching strategies and technologies to further advance proportional reasoning ability

Purpose – This research aimed to identify person-organization (P-O) fit, person-job (P-J) fit, job satisfaction, and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB). Methodology – A quantitative method was adopted through an online survey applied to 323 respondents who were healthcare employees in Banten Province. The data obtained was later analyzed using Structural Equation Model (SEM) Amos. Results – The results showed that P-O fit positively correlated with job satisfaction and OCB. Moreover, P-J fit had a positive effect on OCB. Job satisfaction also had a positive effect on OCB. The implication is that managers need to focus on ensuring a connection between organizational values and those held by healthcare professionals to achieve job satisfaction. There is also the need for management to emphasize ensuring the skills and abilities of healthcare professionals are in line with job roles in order to improve job satisfaction. No full text
This study examines the influence of natural resource revenue sharing funds (DBH SDA) and investment on Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) through regional spending in the East Kutai Regency. This study aims to assess how these variables affect regional economic development, focusing on the role of government spending in mediating the influence. Using path analysis with multiple linear regression modeling, this study analyzes time series data. The results show that DBH SDA has a significant positive effect on regional spending, which means that increasing revenue from natural resources will encourage an increase in regional spending. In contrast, investment does not show a significant effect on regional spending, indicating the fluctuating nature and delayed impact of investment on regional development. Furthermore, both DBH SDA and investment have a direct effect on GRDP, with investment having a positive effect, while DBH SDA has a negative effect. Regional spending has a positive effect on GRDP, indicating the importance of government spending efficiency in driving economic growth. This study suggests that although DBH SDA directly affects regional spending, its effect on GRDP is more mediated by government spending, while investment has a more direct impact on regional economic growth. These findings provide valuable insights for policymakers in East Kutai Regency to optimize resource allocation and investment strategies to achieve sustainable economic development
