Implementation of Mathematics through Problem-Based Learning Models Assisted by Numbers Media
Get PDFMathematics is a basic science that has a role in shaping students' thinking patterns. In mathematics, students are equipped with various abilities to use logic, systematic, analytical, and critical thinking, as well as to use mathematics in problem-solving. The number bag median makes it easier for students to learn Mathematics. This number bag median is expected to eliminate students' boredom, attention, concentration, and enthusiasm for learning. They are learning research to improve the learning process and student learning outcomes in Mathematics by using the problem beast learning model classroom action research with 2 cycles starting with planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results of the first cycle improvement research compared to the initial study experienced an increase of 35.29%. The results of the improvement research in cycle II compared to cycle I experienced an increase of 17.85%. The learning media used is the primary key to the success of the learning process. This is proven based on research results that improving learning can improve student learning outcomes in mathematics learning
Analisis Peran Media Sosial Dalam Konflik Israel-Palestina Ditinjau Dari Teori Orientalisme Edward W Said
Get PDFSocial media has a big role in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as a forum for conveying information both in the form of facts and doctrine to the general public. The alignment of an individual or a country can be reflected through what they present on social media. In the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Edward W Said's theory of orientalism can be seen from the Balfour Declaration in 1917 which was interpreted as a manifestation of orientalism. The aim of this research is to analyze orientalist patterns in social media representations of Israel and Palestine. The method used by researchers in this research is the content analysis method. The research subjects used are ordinary people who have the power to convey their defense on social media. This research focuses on Israeli and Palestinian society by using social media as a tool in obtaining data. The result of this research is that orientalism in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict can be identified through history, political actions and societal views which often reflect Western dominance and views of superiority towards the East. It can be concluded that in the context of the Israeli and Palestinian conflict, the role of social media is becoming increasingly significant, and algorithms on these platforms can play an important role in shaping people's views and attitudes
Didactical design for online learning in ordering fractions
Get PDFDuring COVID-19, various obstacles were experienced during learning, including in learning mathematics. Learning had to be carried out online. Therefore, learning designs were also attempted to be made online. The learning design in this research was prepared using didactical design research. Participants in this research were 29 students at one of the junior high schools in Indonesia. The researcher was the main instrument in this research, along with several additional instruments, such as the fraction sequence test, interview guide, and online learning design. The data were analyzed using thematic analysis and qualitative analysis. The research results revealed that the factor that caused students to experience obstacles in ordering fractions was due to students’ low prerequisite knowledge regarding LCM (conceptual ontogenic obstacle). The online learning design offered then facilitated students to solidify their understanding of LCM before entering the core learning activities. Online learning design was also developed using the theory of didactical situations. After implementation, information was obtained that the learning obstacles experienced by students had no longer reappeared. Therefore, learning in schools should ensure that students have a good understanding of the prerequisites before starting the core learning activities
An Examination of The Role of Psychological Empowerment on Entrepreneurial Success: Evidence of Women Entrepreneurs in Semarang City
No full textPurpose – This study aims to review empirical data on the effect of empowerment on performance at the individual level. It investigates the aspects of empowerment and how they affect a female entrepreneur’s ability to succeed.
Methodology – We collected 96 female entrepreneurs in Semarang City participated in this study. Data was gathered using a Google form link questionnaire. The data was analyzed using the WrapPLS 8.0 software and the structural equation modelling (SEM) technique.
Findings – The findings showed that women’s success as entrepreneurs is influenced by all three aspects of psychological empowerment: self-determination, competence, and impact. However, the meaning dimension does not affect women’s entrepreneurial success.
Originality – Based on the body of knowledge from previous research, there is a population gap. The originality of this research is to consider the object that has not been studied in previous studies, that is, women entrepreneurs
The Impact of TAM, Social Influence, and Information Quality on Purchase Intention in E-commerce
No full textPurpose – This study analyzes the impact of TAM (Technology Acceptance Model), social influence, and quality of information on purchase intention with mediation of e-commerce attitude.
Methodology– The study procedures were carried out using quantitative method, and data were collected with various instruments, and analyzed applying structural equation modeling technique (PLS-SEM). A total of 349 consumers who were familiar with e-commerce applications were then selected with purposive sampling using non-probability methods.
Findings—The perceived usefulness, information quality, and social influence had a significant effect on attitude, while attitude had an impact on purchase intention. In addition, perceived ease of use was reported to have no significant impact. The results also showed that attitude could mediate the relationship between perceived usefulness, information quality, and social influence regarding purchase intention. However, the variable did not mediate the impact of perceived ease of use on purchase intention.
Originality – This analysis developed TAM theory by adding new variables, namely social influence and information quality. Since social influence played a role in motivating technology use, information quality was also considered an essential variable in online platforms
The Implementation of a Sustainable Food and Agricultural Land Protection Policy in Pringsewu District
No full textThe development in Pringsewu District is currently being monitored at a rapid pace, with the function of rice field land being reactivated as a growing land. The increasing population and growing needs of the community present a significant threat to the continued existence of productive rice fields. Pringsewu District is an urban area where the majority of existing land has the potential to be transformed into agricultural land. This phenomenon presents an intriguing case study for examining the implementation of regional regulations in Pringsewu Regency, specifically Regulation Number 6 of 2015 regarding the sustainable protection of food farming land. The research method employs a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as interviews, observations, and documentation. The implementation of Regional Regulation No. 6 of 2015 regarding the protection of sustainable food farming land has not been effectively carried out. This is due to a lack of public awareness concerning the significance of sustainable food agricultural land. Despite the challenges inherent in implementing Local Regulation No. 6 of 2015 on sustainable food farm protection, the Pringsewu district government has consistently endeavored to ensure that the development of Pringsewu regency is guided by Local Regulation No. 6 of 2015 on sustainable food agricultural land protection. This approach is designed to facilitate a harmonious relationship between development and the environment.

Is Green Web Experience Effective in Building Awareness for Corporate Social Responsibility and Driving Repurchase Intention?
No full textPurpose – The purpose of this study is to understand, analyze, and prove the behavior of consumers during the process of browsing websites. It also intends to increase awareness about the social responsibility activities of companies.
Methodology – The respondents were 200 skincare users, aged 17 to 40 years, and visited the company website to shop for products labeled Go Green. The sample size was determined using the snowball sampling method while the hypotheses developed were tested through the application of the structural equation model.
Findings – The results showed that the awareness of social responsibility partially mediated the relationship between the green web experience and repurchase intention.
Originality – This The study bridges the gap between digital platforms and their influence on CSR awareness, which is not yet widely explored
Political Communication in Community Participation: A Systematic Literature Review
No full textThe purpose of this study is to see how communication affects the political participation of rural communities. This research uses a systematic literature review method using 219 scholarly articles from the Scopus database. The review of the articles was conducted using the Vosviewer application. The results revealed that there are 5 thematic clusters in the study of political communication participation, including the green cluster, yellow cluster, purple cluster, red cluster, and blue cluster. Where each cluster has a strong relationship between clusters. The politics of local leaders affect all aspects of community life in the area. Good leaders are developed through a long process and do not appear by chance. The ability to get others to do what the leader wants is known as leadership. Communication in the community is considered to work well in the process of political participation in the community, despite the poorly understood and inadequate form of information distribution. The process of political participation in the election of leaders and other political bodies runs smoothly with the support of available communication media. Villagers are invited to participate in decision-making because they better understand what is needed for the welfare of the village. The results of this research help people's political participation in various ways and provide information to people who need it. The research process was limited because the articles used were only from the Scopus database, so the research results could not cover the issue of government communication in increasing the participation of rural communities as a whole. Future research should use scientific article sources from recognized international databases such as Web of Science and Dimensions Scholars, so this research itself has weaknesses that need to be improved for future research
Implementasi Program Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) di Kota Serang: Evaluasi Efektivitas Kebijakan

Seeing that traffic styles on the road are becoming more complex daily, as well as rampant violations, drivers who obey only when there are traffic officers have influenced the presence of the Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) policy. Serang City, as the central government in Banten Province, became the first city/district to implement ETLE, specifically in Jalan Veteran Serang City, in April 2021. As the years go by, ETLE in the jurisdiction of the Banten Regional Police continues to increase. The addition of ETLE location points in Serang City is becoming increasingly massive, so implementing the ETLE policy faces many challenges. This research was designed using qualitative methods based on the Policy Implementation theory by Merilee S. Grindle. The ETLE policy is a step taken by the government to create traffic discipline and order to minimize violations that occur on the highway. The research results stated that the implementation of the ETLE policy in Serang City was considered successful as measured by the quality of the implementation process, which was in accordance with what was stipulated and the achievement of policy objectives by what was targeted. This research also shows that the implementation of ETLE has had a significant positive impact on society. The community has a habitual pattern of obeying traffic and transparent law enforcement
Identifikasi Pencemaran Kali Bekasi melalui Analisis Kualitas Air Menggunakan Metode STORET
No full textKali Bekasi merupakan salah satu sungai utama di wilayah Bekasi yang berperan penting sebagai sumber air baku, pertanian, dan kebutuhan industri. Namun, aktivitas manusia seperti industri, domestik, dan pertanian telah menyebabkan peningkatan pencemaran pada sungai ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kondisi cemaran di Kali Bekasi melalui analisis kualitas air menggunakan metode STORET. Metode STORET digunakan untuk mengklasifikasikan status mutu air berdasarkan parameter fisik, kimia, dan biologi, dengan parameter yang diuji meliputi TDS, TSS, BOD, COD, Nitrat, Nitrit, Fosfat, dan Fecal Coliform. Data kualitas air dikumpulkan dari beberapa titik sampling sepanjang sungai dan dianalisis sesuai dengan standar baku mutu air. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hampir seluruh titik lokasi sampling memperoleh nilai mutu air >-30, sehingga masuk dalam kategori tercemar berat. Hal ini terutam disebabkan oleh tingginya konsentrasi Fecal Coliform yang berada jauh di atas baku mutu yang telah ditetapkan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa aktivitas antropogenik memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap pencemaran Kali Bekasi. Dari hasil analisis, direkomendasikan upaya mitigasi seperti penguatan regulasi pengelolaan limbah, peningkatan pengawasan terhadap aktivitas industri dan domestik, serta edukasi masyarakat mengenai pentingnya menjaga kebersihan sungai. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi pemerintah dan pemangku kepentingan dalam mengambil kebijakan untuk meningkatkan kualitas lingkungan di Kali Bekasi
