TINGKAT KEPEDULIAN DAN SELF EFFICACY MAHASISWA UNIVERSITAS TERBUKA TERHADAP E-LEARNING
Get PDFResearch on the level of apprehension and self efficacy of Universitas Terbuka’s students to E-learning was aimed at investigating the level of apprehension and self efficacy to e-learning as well as to prove the reasearch hypothesis that the apprehension stages has a significant corellation to the level of self efficacy in using e-leaning. The population of the study was Universitas Terbuka’s students registered to courses that offer online tutorials. The sample was choosen by a purposive random sampling technique from students from 4 faculties and magister program taken courses offered by online tutorial and registered by the most of the students. The result of the research gave a general picture of students’ self efficacy in using the Internet make use of e-learning in their study activities was considering in average category. The average score of students’ capability of using Internet was 3.73 from 6 Likert scale. The highest score of students’ capability in using the Internet was their ability in reading text. On the other hand, capability that considered low was students’s capability in creating a simple web page using teks, pictures, and links. The students’ awareness in using e-learning for their learning activities was varied. Based on 54.76% students who were using e-learing , 2.38% were in management stage, 21.43% at consequence stage, 9.52% in collaboration stage, and 21,43% in refocusing stage. The findings suggest a positive correlation between the students’ self-efficacy level in using Internet with their awareness in using e-learning

Get PDFThe transformation into stated-owned legal body (BHMN/BHP) makes quite a significant impact on UT management, since the autonomy is wider and consequently it brings bigger responsibilities and challenges. One of these challenges is adjusting compensation system which previously referred to Civil Servants System and currently has several weaknesses, such as externally less competitive salary level, very close gap between highest and lowest salary and minimal concern about performance. It leads to the need of designing new compensation system during UT-BHP transitional period (2008-2017). Competency based Pay (CbP) which is rewarding the way people work, not just recognizing what they can be deliver, fits the academic world. In a learning organization, colleges and universities certainly qualify, the focus on competence and the importance of individual growth is tied explicitly to the organization’s mission and value also consistent with the growing interest in life long learning. The acceptance of individual development and skill acquisition as the criteria for rewarding staff employees should be a natural in higher education. This compensation design is focused on academic staffs, which are lecturer, researcher, and managerial position. KONTRIBUSI INDUSTRI PENGOLAHAN HASIL PERIKANAN TRADISIONAL TERHADAP PENDAPATAN NELAYAN PENGOLAH
Get PDFTraditional fish processing industries in Muara Angke Jakarta have been involving many labor from the local fishermen or others. This study describes the contributions of many small industry to the labor incomes based on every small industry profit distribution. Survey method had been applied to collect the data. The population are all small traditional fish processing industries in Muara Angke. The samples are chosen based on their product, either salty fish or smoked fish. “Hayami method†was applied to calculate the added value of each small industry. The results of this study shows that salty squid has the highest value added (Rp2167,61/kg) and highest profits (Rp2072,61/kg), Indian mackerel smoked fish gives the highest contributions to labor incomes (Rp663,36/kg). Sardinella salty fish gives the highest profit level, followed by salty squid and salty mackerel scad. Salty stingray and salty Indian mackerel gives high value for labor return. In addition, salty sardinella, salty squid, and salty “lesi†fish have high added value ratio. Salty stingray gives the highest other input contribution, followed by smoked Indian mackerel
PENGARUH PENGELOLAAN TUTORIAL ONLINE TERHADAP PARTISIPASI MAHASISWA
Get PDFOnline tutorial for post graduate Universitas Terbuka students is compulsory. However, data from the report on the online tutorial activities show that student participation rate was low. This article presents a research result that shows the relationship between management factor and students’ participation in the online tutorials. This study used descriptive qualitative approach. The informans were the coordinator of the online tutorial and the Master Program students in the Public Administration Universitas Terbuka. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, and observation. The result showed that the quality of management and tutor, the component of discussion score in the tutorial online, and the obstraction in the network had an impact on students’ participation rate in the online tutorials
PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN EFFECTIVE MICROORGANISM-4 (EM-4) PADA PENGOMPOSAN TERHADAP PRODUKSI JAMUR MERANG
Get PDFThis research was aimed for knowing the influence of EM-4 (effective microorganism-4) addition and the most effective concentration of EM-4 in compost media for straw mushroom (Volvariella volvacea (Bull. ex Fr.) Sing) production. The treatment examined the use of EM-4 solution divided into six treatments and four repetitions. EM-4 concentration from 0 ml/l – 12,5 ml/l with an interval increasing of 2,5 ml/l. The addition of 7,5 ml/l – 12,5 ml/l concentration of EM-4 did not give so different result with the control media. Composting with addition of 5 ml/l EM-4 gave the highest straw mushroom production (2272,25 g). Statistically the result showed that the concentrations of EM-4 had no significant effect on the mushroom production

This statistic is not sensitive with multicollinearity in model and outlier residuals. The aim of this article is to investigate the use of RCp criterion in selecting independent variables. The result of the simulation experimental data shows that the RCp criterion fits enough to select independent variables.

KAJIAN TENTANG PENGARUH TWO STAGE CLUSTER SAMPLING TERHADAP STATISTIK UJI-F

The following assumptions are often made: 1) the error terms are random variables with mean 0; 2) nonautocorrelation; 3) homoscedasticity, and 4) normality. The assumption of identically and independently distributed (iid) observations that underlies regression procedures is called into question when analyzing complex survey data. Particularly the existence of clusters in two stage samples usually exhibit positive intracluster correlation. If we use Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) procedures to make inferences in regression analysis for two stage cluster samples, we will be faced with a problem. This study aims to know the effect of two stage least squares on the F-Statistic. In general, although OLS procedures are unbiased but not fully efficient for estimation of the regression coefficients. Variance of the OLS estimators for the regression coefficients can be larger than the usual OLS variance expression would indicate. Failure to consider this possibility leads to underestimation of variances, with consequences for confidence intervals and the F-Statistic. The effect of intracluster correlation on the F-Statistic is the distortion of its distribution. The F-Statistic will not follow the Central F distribution anymore. Consequently, the hypothesis testing procedure is invalid
