EFEKTIVITAS VARIABEL MEDIATOR BERDASARKAN KONTRIBUSINYA DALAM MODEL MEDIASI SEDERHANA
Get PDFStructurally relationship of variables is important in deeply analysis of path models, but the process of effect distribution must be concerned. In this situation, one or more variable would be a mediator variable which assessing effect of an independent to a dependent variable. We studied the simple mediation model that is one of path analytical models which contain of one independent variable, dependent variable and mediator variable. A necessary component of mediation is effectiveness that is a statistically significant indirect effect, formal significance tests of indirect effects are early conducted by Sobel (1982). According to sequential regression analysis on a simple mediation model, a mediator variable come after an independent variable exist in the model, the contribution of upcoming variable to the model could be obtained. We argue the importance of investigating empirical relationship between the significance of indirect effects and sequential contribution of mediator variable with a normal theory approach using Microsoft Excel simulation tools developed by Myerson (2000). We find that the higher contribution of mediator variable to the model, the more effectiveness is. This result comes up with three level correlation of independent and dependent variable which each 1000 times iteration that gives relatively immediate information about the recent empirical relationship between the significance of indirect effects and sequential contribution of mediator in the simple mediation models
PENGARUH ORGANIC SOIL TREATMENT (OST) DAN SELANG WAKTU APLIKASI LARUTAN LANDETO TERHADAP HASIL BAWANG MERAH PADA REGOSOL
Get PDFThis research was intended to determine the rate of Organic Soil Treatment (OST) and the interval of application of Landeto solution or their interaction on the growth of shallots grown in the regosol soil. This research was conducted in the green house of Departement of Soil Science, Faculty of Agriculture Gadjah Mada University. A Randomized Complete Block Design, employing a factorial treatment was chosen. The first factors was rates of OST, i.e,: 0, 3, 6, 9 and 12 ton ha?. The second factors was interval of application of Landeto Solution, i.e, : 3, 5 and 7 days. The combination treatments were repeated 3 times. Results of the research showed that; 1) Intermedien between rates of OST at 6 ton ha? and interval of application of Landeto solution ot 5 days, was found in bulb number per hills ( 29.87, cm2 ) respectively. 2) Application of OST, at 6 ton ha? had a significant effect on the plant fresh weight and the fresh bulb weigth, 3) Application of Landeto solution at different intervals had no significant effect on all components and crop yield

Get PDFPersistent organic pollutants (POPs) are toxic chemicals that adversely affect human health and the environment around the world. Because they can be transported by wind and water, most POPs generated in one country can affect people and wildlife far from where they are used and released. They persist for long periods of time in the environment and can accumulate and pass from one species to the next through the food chain. To address this global concern, many countries in the world joined forces with 90 other countries and the European Community to sign a groundbreaking United Nations treaty in Stockholm, Sweden, in May 2001, known as the Stockholm Convention. One of important agreement is all countries agreed to reduce or eliminate the production, use, and/or release of 12 key POPs. The Convention specifies a scientific review process that could lead to the addition of other POPs chemicals of global concern. POPs include a range of substances that include intentionally produced chemicals currently or once used in agriculture, disease control, manufacturing, or industrial processes. Also it can be produced by unintentionally produced chemicals, such as dioxins, that result from some industrial processes and from combustion (for example, municipal and medical waste incineration and backyard burning of trash)

No full textMany challenges must be faced by thr GOI in developing the program, nowadays the Govemment of lndonesia (G01) through Early Childhood Education (ECE) Department has been enhancing early childhood education programs for 0 to 8 year old children. The major challenges are children access to early childhood education services and quality of early childhood education programs. Considering the challenges, The United States Agency for Intemational Development (USAID) in partnership with Indonesia's Ministry of National Education is currently implementing a small scale interactive audio instruction (1AI) pilot program targeting 5-6 year olds and their teachers in seven provinces. The program can simultaneously lead acfivities to kindergarten children and teachers as well as train the teachers, who don't have early childhood education background, and how to create high qualityactivities for children. Because of its' simple technology, the program can be applied in various Indonesia district condition, This paper explores the potential role a simple technology can play in assisting the government meet its early childhood education goals and discusses whether something as commonplace as a CD player or radio, when coupled with a proven education methodology, could present a cost effective way to achieving quality at scale
PENGARUH PEMBERIAN BISA NAJA SPUTATRIX TERHADAP KADAR INTERLEUKIN-2 SERUM DARAH MENCIT YANG DIINDUKSI BENZO(A)PYRENE
Get PDFCancer has become a global health problem arisen from exposure to benzo(a)pyrene. Interleukin-2 is one of immune system components believed to play roles in eradicating cancer. Cobra venom has antitumor effect and also contain protease which could boost up immune system. This research was aimed at analyzing Naja sputatrix venoms effect to increase interleukin-2 level in blood sera of mice induced by benzo(a)pyrene. Four group of Balb-C mice were used. The first group (control) and second group (treatment with Naja sputatrix venom) consist of 5 mices. There are 6 mices used in group 3 and 4, both were injected intramuscularly by benzo(a)pyrene (0,3L/0,01mL oleum oil) at day 1, 8 and 15. Three months after, observation was carried out to see changes occured in their liver and lungs. Naja sputatrix venom 0,1 mL (diluted in saline 1:100) was given to group 2 and 4 for 30 days. Blood was collected from all groups and centrifuge to form sera. Level of interleukin-2 in sera was measured by ELISA method. The results show that Group 2 has the highest mean level of interleukin-2 (136,837 pg/mL), and group 3 has the lowest (8,996 pg/mL). Level of interleukin-2 in group 4 is slightly higher than group 3 (10,632 pg/mL). Kruskal-Wallis analysis result come with Sig. 0,155; therefore shows no significance(p>0,05). It is therefore concluded that Naja sputatrix venom do not increase interleukin-2 level in blood sera of mice induced by benzo(a)pyren

Get PDFAcademic counseling in Higher Distance Education is one of the necessary instructional media between the faculty and the students as well as an important device for assisting students to cope and solve their problems. Up until now academic counseling has not been extensively used by lectures and students at the Universitas Terbuka because of a number of constraints such as unavailability of time, the disperse of student domicile and technological barriers. This study attempts to explore and examine the role of on-line academic counseling at Universitas Terbuka in particular at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP-UT). The finding shows that most students consider academic counseling as highly important to support student achievement. Accordingly online academic counseling needs to be more flexible and covers broader area. Online academic counseling needs a separate on-line forum aside the exciting forums such as online learning forum, smart teachers online, digital libraries, online bookstores, e-humanities, and learning object repositories. However, it is expected to be regularly scheduled and prompt response is imperative

Audio streaming technology is technology used to put the audio programs on the website. Available in various formats audio programs that can be used for audio streaming technology. The aim of the research is to make the selection of audio technologies available for use in e-Learning system at the Open University (UT). Data taken with the questionnaire and download audio programs in various formats on the UT website. Data analysis to see the frequency calculations are presented descriptively.The results showed that the 4 (four) format used on audio technology, which is MP3 (MPEG layer 3), WMA (Windows Media Audio), OGG Vorbis, and AAC (Advanced Audio Codec) can be concluded that: most audio format easy to use are MP3, MP3 audio format is the fastest format can be downloaded by students, as well as audio technology that produces the best sound quality is MP3

Get PDFThis article is aimed at exploring students perception of online tutorial program. The population is all of MMP (Magister of Fisheries Management Program, Universitas Terbuka, Indonesia) students attending the Marine and Coastal Area Management online tutorial program at registration time of 2008.1 in Jakarta and Ternate. All population members are engaged as responden. Data were collected by survey method and analysed by Rank Spearman non-parametric statistic method. The findings indicated that the students age level in Jakarta was dominated by early-adults (47,6%), while in Ternate was in middle-adults (73,3%). The main background of all students is fisheries (85,7% in Jakarta and 73,3% in Ternate). The skill in using internet of the Jakarta students were mostly at the mid level (66,7%), while the Ternate students were mainly at entry level (46,7%). The ability in using the internet (X3) is significantly correlated with the students perception of the questions in online tutorial program (Y2) at ? = 0,1

Script Writer should be intensified in production process to get production result that suits script and avoids repeated production process requiring time and expenses.
