SIMULATING THE FUTURE MICROCLIMATE TO IDENTIFY VULNERABLE BUILDING INTERIOR CONDITIONS
ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to identify indoor environment conditions that influence occupant thermal and visual comforts. Building simulations can predict indoor environmental quality (IEQ), which has a significant impact on building occupants. To evaluate IEQ, simulation input data must accurately account for factors affecting future building operations, such as building design, interior layout, and the near built environment, or microclimate. This study investigates the impact of future microclimate conditions on a "typical" single-occupant office's indoor environment. Results indicate simply including microclimate in simulation can indicate thermal comfort, but may not provide an accurate picture of visual comfort
Well-posedness and Stability of Exact Non- reflecting Boundary Conditions Well-posedness and Stability of Exact Non-reflecting Boundary Conditions
Exact non-reflecting boundary conditions for an incompletely parabolic system have been studied. It is shown that well-posedness is a fundamental property of the nonreflecting boundary conditions. By using summation by parts operators for the numerical approximation and a weak boundary implementation, energy stability follows automatically. The stability in combination with the high order accuracy results in a reliable, efficient and accurate method. The theory is supported by numerical simulations
Are streaming and other music consumption modes substitutes or complements?
Abstract. From a representative survey of 2,000 French individuals, we study whether consumption of music through streaming services, such as Spotify or YouTube, is a substitute or a complement to other music consumption modes such as CD, Pay-downloads or live music. Controlling for the taste for music, various socio-demographic characteristics, as well as for the usual determinants of music consumption either offline (radio, TV, friends/relatives) or online (online recommendations, social networks), our results show that consuming music as streams (where the consumer does not possess the music but has just an access to it) has no significant effect on CDs purchase but is a complement to buying music online. The use of streaming services also affects positively live music attendance, but only for national or international artists who are more likely to be available on streaming services. These results suggest that a new music ecosystem is emerging in which the "possession" as well as the "access" modes of recorded music consumption might coexist

Synthesis of spirocycles via ring closing metathesis of heterocycles carrying gem-diallyl substituents obtained via ring opening of (halomethyl)cyclopropanes with allyltributyltin
In the presence of allyl tri-n-butyltin-AIBN, cyclopropylmethyl bromides/xanthates undergo ring-opening reaction with concomitant formation of geminal diallyl derivatives in good yields. The ring closing metathesis reactions on geminal diallyl derivatives with Grubbs' catalyst provided spirocyclopentenyl products. Combination of these two methodologies has been applied to the synthesis of mono-, bis-cyclopentyl-carbohydrates as well as spirocyclopentylproline derivatives
Electricity Low Tension Analysis Using ETAP
ABSTRACT-One of a utility's core responsibilities is to deliver the voltage to customers within a suitable range. The main aim of our project is to deliver the voltage to consumers within the limit. When the load is increased on the secondary side of the distribution transformer, the fuse will often get tripped, efficiency of the transformer will be reduced and very important is that the consumer will get a reduced voltage below the suitable range. In order to overcome this we are using a parallel operation on distribution transformers because by using parallel operations when the load is increased on the LT side, the additional transformer will supply a required power to consumers for the consumer's satisfaction. Here we are using software called Electrical Transient Analyzer Programming (ETAP) for the purpose of analyzing and monitoring the LT parameters of distribution transformer. By using this software we can analyze and measure the current, voltage and frequency at each and every line
Truncated norms and limitations on signal reconstruction
Abstract-Design of optimal signal reconstructors over all samplers and holds boils down to canceling frequency bands from a given frequency response. This paper discusses limits of performance of such samplers and holds and develops methods to compute the optimal L 2 -norm

SOLAR MAXIMUM POWER POINT TRACKING SYSTEM AND ITS APPLICATION TO GREENHOUSE
ABSTRACT: -In this paper a low voltage, low cost & high efficiency based solar maximum power point tracking system for green house applications is presented. The main controlling element is the micro controller programme in c language in order to extract maximum solar power point. In addition we use buck converter for MPPT. Further this maximum power is utilized to drive pumps and fans of green house
