Rose Aromatherapy Affects Blood Pressure in Menopausal Women
Get PDFThe health problem that often occurs in menopause is hypertension. One way of non-pharmacological treatment for lowering blood pressure can be done using rose aromatherapy.The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of rose aromatherapy on blood pressure in mother menopause at the Mojoroto sub-district, Kediri, East Java. The research design uses the pre experiments approach one group pretest-posttest design. The study population is menopausal mothers who have high blood pressure with some 40 people. Random Sampling technique in getting a sample of 28 people. Collecting data using primary data using observation sheets and the results analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. From the results of the research conducted shows that getting ρ value = 0.001, which means that the value of ρ <α so that H0 rejected H1 is accepted, meaning there is an effect of rose aromatherapy on blood pressure in the mother menopause.Rose aromatherapy proven its effect in lowering blood pressure in menopausal women. Aromatherapy can be made non-pharmacological handling in lowering blood pressure in the elderly
Effect of Audiovisual as an Educational Medium to Increase Knowledge and Participation in Acetic Acid Visual Inspection Examination (IVA)
Get PDFCervical cancer is the uncontrolled growth of abnormal cells in the cervix or cervix and is classified as a malignancy that can be diagnosed early, one of which is by carrying out an IVA examination. Lack of knowledge is one of the factors that causes a lack of participation in carrying out IVA examinations. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of audiovisual as an educational medium to increase knowledge and participation in VIA examinations in WUS. The research design is a pre-experimental study with a one group pre test – post test research design. The population studied was all WUS who had had sexual intercourse in the corner village of RT 7 with a sample taken of 32 people using purposive sampling technique. The analysis used was univariate and bivariate analysis with the Wilcoxon test. The results of the study obtained ρ value (0.000) ˂ α = (0.05) so that H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted meaning that there is an Audiovisual Effect as an educational medium to increase knowledge and IVA Examination Participation in WUS. Based on the results of educational media research through audiovisuals, it increases the enthusiasm of WUS to participate in counseling and is easier to understand so that the implementation of counseling on continuous IVA examinations so that all WUS who have not yet carried out early detection of cervical cancer have awareness to be detected
Literature Study Of Factors Affecting Hand Washing Behavior In Pre-Age Children School
Get PDFNowadays, hand washing behavior has not become a culture or habit that is applied in everyday life, especially in school and preschool age children. Factors that influence children's behavior in washing hands are age, gender, environment, parental roles, and information (Kustiyah, 2015). The method in searching for article data sources is carried out through the pubmed, google schoolar and garuda databases (2015-2020) to retrieve relevant articles published in English and Indonesian. Search articles or journals using keywords and boolean operators (AND, OR NOT or AND NOT) which are used to expand or specify the search, making it easier to determine the articles or journals used. The keywords used in this study are hand washing behavior and preschool children. Literature Review is focused on original non-experimental research types, where research articles contain the results of actual observations where there are abstracts, introductions, methods, results, and discussions so that 5 journals are reviewed. The results of 5 journals reviewed, almost half (40%) stated that parenting is a factor that influences hand washing behavior in preschool children, and another small part is influenced by parental support, working mother behavior and mother's level of knowledge with a total 20% each. Based on a literature review of 5 research journals, it can be concluded that the factors that influence the behavior of preschool children in washing their hands include parental support, level of parental knowledge, behavior of working mothers and parenting patterns
The Impact of Knowledge on the Care of the External Genital Area in Adolescent Girls at SMK N "X" in South Jakarta
Get PDFCases of reproductive health problems in adolescents are still found, this is influenced by several factors, one of which is the lack of knowledge and motivation of adolescents to maintain reproductive health. The aim of the research was to identify the knowledge and practice of caring for the external genital area in female adolescents and to identify the results of the analysis of the relationship between knowledge and care for the external genital area in adolescents. Analytical descriptive research methods with a cross sectional approach. Take measurements on each variable at the same time. The sampling technique is the total sample. The Pearson Chi-square test, an alpha value of 0.05, and a 95% confidence interval (CI) were used to analyze the data using the SPSS version 24 program. According to the study's findings, the average knowledge of young women was good (74.8%) and poor (24.2%).The average implementation of treatment for the external genitalia area in young women is routinely done (75.8%) and rarely done (24.2%). With a p value of 0.05, there is a significant relationship between knowledge and care of the external genitalia area in young women.The results of the analysis of knowledge on young women have a significant relationship with the treatment of the external genitalia area, with a p value <0.05 (α 0.05). There is a significant relationship between knowledge and care of the external genital area in young women with a p value <0.05 (α 0.05). The results of the analysis of knowledge on young women have a significant relationship with the treatment of the external genitalia area, with a p value <0.05 (α 0.05). The role of the family to supervise and support the implementation of reproductive health programs in adolescents is very much needed, as well as the role of health workers in providing health education and promotion to increase the motivation of adolescents in maintaining the health of the reproductive organs
Description of the Independency of the Elderly in Fulfilling Daily Living (ADL) Activities at the Cinta Kasih Tzu Chi Cengkareng Flat
Get PDFElderly people (elderly) experience a decrease in physical condition which affects the decline in activity, health and independency. Objective of this study to see an overview of the level of independency of the elderly in fulfilling the ability of daily activities (ADL). The research was conducted on the elderly at Tzu Chi Cengkareng Flat, West Jakarta during January-March 2022 with a survey method research design with a cross-sectional approach to 103 elderly people. Collecting data by direct interviews. Descriptive analysis to explain the characteristics of the independency of the elderly. The elderly in the Cengkareng Tzu Chi Love Flat are aged between 60-74 years, 97 people (94.2%), more than 75 years, 6 people (5.8%), female, 57 (55.3%) more than men. 46 (44.7%), more did not work 70 (68.0%) than those who worked 33 (32.0%) and had comorbidities, 62 people (60.2%) were elderly who had comorbidities. Of the 103 elderly, 101 (98.1%) had high independency and 2 (1.9%) had low independency. Conclusion the elderly in the Tzu Chi Love Flat, are able to meet their daily needs without the help of other family members, more than 50% of the elderly are categorized as having high independency
Analisis Determinan Faktor Tanda dan Gejala Infeksi Saluran Kemih pada Remaja Putri di SMA Negeri 2 Karangan Kabupaten Trenggalek
Get PDFBackground: In Indonesia, the prevalence of urinary tract infections is still quite high. The high number of population and adolescents is important because adolescent girls are more at risk of experiencing health problems than adolescent boys. The purpose of this study was to analyze the inflence of personal hygiene with signs and symptoms of urinary tract infections among adolescent girls at Karangan Senior High School, Trenggalek Regency.Methods: This study used a cross sectional design. The population were 164 female students of Karangan Senior High School. Sample were 116 female students that reached by stratified random sampling technique. The independent variable was personal hygiene behavior, while the dependent variable was the signs and symptoms of urinary tract infections. Data were obtained by structured questionnaire and were analyzed by Logistic Regression test.Results: Respondents that had experienced with signs and symptoms of urinary tract infections were 33 female students (28.45%). There was no influence between age and signs and symptoms of urinary tract infection among adolescent girls at Karangan Senior High School (p value 0.223>0.05). There was a influence between personal hygiene and signs and symptoms of urinary tract infection among adolescent girls at Karangan Senior High School (p value 0.00<0.05, PR=9.762, 95%CI=2.762-34.498).Discussion: From this study it can be concluded that personal hygiene affects the signs and symptoms of urinary tract infection. Personal hygiene is very influential on the quality of health, especially young women who are more vulnerable
The Effect of Drawing Art Therapy on the Anxiety Level of Students at Nurul Falah Vocational High School in Online Learning Assignments during the Covid-19 Pandemic in Geger Village, Mangaran District, Situbondo
Get PDFWith the Covid-19 pandemic, as an effort to prevent the spread, so there will be changes to learning methods in 2020 to 2021, due to a change in online or online learning, so there will be anxiety among students at Nurul Falah Mangaran Middle School. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of drawing art therapy on reducing student anxiety at Nurul Falah Vocational School in online learning assignments during the co-19 pandemic in Geger village, Mangaran subdistrict.This research is a pre-experimental study using a quasi-experimental research design model of one group design with pre-test and post-test. The study population consisted of 42 respondents and the number of samples was 39 respondents using random sampling technique. The instrument uses the HARS questionnaire. statistical test using the Paired t test with SPSS software version 24 windows. Based on the results of the study, the anxiety of 39 respondents before drawing therapy had an anxiety value of 40.97 and after drawing therapy had an anxiety value of 10.41. based on statistical test results using Windows SPSS 24 Paired - Samples T Test obtained p = 0.000 with a significant level of α = 0.05 (ρ = 0.000 < α = 0.05). This means that there is an effect of drawing therapy on reducing anxiety in class XI students of Nurul Falah Vocational School with an anxiety score of 10.41. From this study, art therapy was very effective in overcoming psychological problems such as anxiety experienced by students during a pandemic
Renal Doppler Index and its Correlation with Laboratory Index of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) Sero - Positive Adult Individuals
No full textRenal Doppler resistive index (RI) and pulsatility index (PI) values have the potential to be more sensitive in detecting kidney abnormalities when compared with standard laboratory indices in HIV/AIDS patients. To our knowledge, there are no published research articles on renal Doppler indices and their correlation with laboratory indices of HIV sero-positive adults. This study aimed to assess the renal function of HIV-positive adults using RI and PI, and correlate these indices with laboratory values. A prospective cross-sectional study was conducted from July 2019 to April 2020. A purposive sampling method was used and involved 396 HIV sero-positive adults. Sampling for renal RI and PI was performed at the level of the inter-lober arteries, between the medullary pyramids. RI values above 0.70 and PI values above 1.56 are considered abnormal. Serum creatine and urea together with evidence of proteinuria were noted at the time of scanning. Forty-three (10.9%) men had abnormal RI, 32 (8.1%) had abnormal PI, five (2.5%) had abnormal creatinine, two (1%) abnormal urea and eight (4.1%) ) with proteinuria. In women, 29 (7.3%) had abnormal RI, 22 (5.6%) abnormal PI, four (2%) abnormal creatinine and urea and six (3%) had proteinuria. There was a statistically significant weak positive correlation between RI and PI and serum creatinine and urea (r > 0.2, P < 0.05). The proportion of patients with abnormal RI and PI was higher than the proportion of patients with abnormal serum urea, creatinine and proteinuria. The renal Doppler index can be used for initial assessment of renal function in HIV sero-positive adults
The Effect of Keroncong Music Therapy on Reducing Agitation in the Elderly with Dementia
No full textDementia naturally occurs along with the aging process, the thing that is most avoided from the symptoms of dementia is agitation. This condition causes feelings such as irritation or excessive anxiety. This can trigger a decline in intellectual capacity which is characterized by cognitive, emotional, and psychomotor disturbances. A continuous therapy with minimal side effects is required before the use of medical therapy which is known to be high in side effects. This study aims to analyze the effect of keroncong music therapy in reducing the level of agitation in the elderly with dementia. Elderlies with dementia using simple random sampling technique. The sample was divided into 29 treatment groups and 29 control groups. The statistical test used was Mann-Whitney. The treatment group was given keroncong music therapy at a dose of 15 minutes a day for 14 consecutive days. At the pre-test, there was no significant difference in agitation levels between the two groups (p=0.748), but at the post-test, a significant difference in agitation levels was found between the two groups (p <0.05). Keroncong music therapy can reduce the level of agitation in the elderly with dementia. Future researchers are expected to be able to conduct research by comparing the effectiveness of keroncong music therapy with other non-pharmacological interventions in reducing agitation levels
Relationship Between Mother's Education Level and Toddler Growth

The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between education level and toddler growth in the working area of the Sukorame Community Health Center, Kediri.This research used a cross-sectional approach with a purposive sampling technique. The population is taken from all mothers who have toddlers in July. In accordance with predetermined research criteria, 68 mothers with toddlers were obtained as samples. The results of the Spearman correlation test obtained a significant value (p) value = 0.001 so that p <α, which means H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning that there is a relationship between education level and toddler growth in the working area of the Sukorame Health Center. It is expected that health workers can provide health education, especially mothers who have toddlers, about monitoring and early detection of growth deviations in toddlers. So that the incidence of mortality and morbidity can be reduced or suppressed
