No full textAbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji dan menghasilkan bahan ajar modul yang valid, praktis dan efektif dengan model pengembangan yang mengikuti alur desain formatif evaluation (Tessmer). Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian Pengembangan atau Research and Develoment yaitu metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk menghasilkan produk. Uji coba terbatas pada penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada 21 siswa kelas IVB SD N 3 Lembak. Teknik pengumpulan data uji validasi pada beberapa ahli dan angket respon siswa. hasil penelitian menunjukan Rekapiitulasi Validator (1) Ahli desain 88 % dengan kategori sangat valid (2) Ahli Bahasa 98 % dengan kategori sangat valid (3) Ahli materi 82 % dengan kategori sangat valid dan Rekapitulasi Kepraktisan (1) One to One 94 % dengan kategori sangat Praktis (2) Small Group 95 % dengan kategori sangat Praktis. This means that input has typically always been provided by material creators in line with their understanding of how language may be effectively learned through input. This study attempts to determine how well the English textbook "Bahasa Inggris Kelas XII SMA/MA/SMK/MAK Edisi Revisi 2018" satisfies the standards for a good textbook proposed by Tomlinson. In this study, data were gathered using a descriptive methodology from two chapters of the textbook "Bahasa Inggris Kelas XII SMA/MA/SMK/MAK Edisi Revisi 2018". Based on the study, fourteen of the sixteen criteria of Tomlinson\u27s theory for a good textbook were perfectly fulfilled, and the textbook failed to fulfill two of the requirements since it had some extraneous elements. The material of "Bahasa Inggris Kelas XII SMA/MA/SMK/MAK Edisi Revisi 2018" is mostly linked to Tomlinson\u27s criteria for a good textbook. This textbook can be used as a reference for teaching and learning support in collaboration with another textbook, allowing the teacher to provide additional supporting materials and students with a choice of materials on relevant topics

Get PDFTujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui keefektifan Google docs terhadap keterampilan peserta didik materi Perubahan Lingkungan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian The Matching-Only Posttest-Only Control Group Design . Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X IPA SMA Negeri 1 Kawali tahun pelajaran 2020/2021 yang berjumlah 216 orang. Pemilihan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dan diperoleh kelas X IPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol serta kelas X IPA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Pengerjaan tugas kelompok di kelas kontrol menggunakan Microsoft word sedangkan kelas eksperimen menggunakan Google docs. Teknik pengumpulan data diperoleh dengan menggunakan angket Collaborative Self-Assesment Tool (CSAT), lembar observasi, dan wawancara tertutup. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji hipotesis ( T-test sample Independent ). Berdasarkan Independent Sample T-test didapatkan signifikansi sebesar 0,768. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi Google docs tidak efektif terhadap keterampilan peserta didik peserta didik pada materi Perubahan Lingkungan

Get PDFTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan penalaran matematis dengan menggunakan model pebelajaran Prediction, Observation, Explanation, Elaboration, Write, and Evaluation (POE2WE). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif, jenis penelitian Quasy Experimental Design, dan menggunakan rancangan penelitian pretest-posttest control group design. Pengumpulan data dengan teknik tes, dengan instrument tes berupa uraian pada materi persamaan garis lurus. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VIII MTs Miftahul Ulum Way Tuba yang terdiri atas 112 siswa yang terbagi menjadi empat kelas. Pengambilan sampel dengan menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling kemudian diperoleh kelas VIII B sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII D sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah siswa masing-masing kelas adalah 28 siswa. Uji hipotesis menggunkan Uji multivariate analysis of variance (Manova). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan penalaran matematis siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran POE2WE
Strategies of vocabulary learning employed by low-frequency-word level students in international class
Get PDFThe application and development of vocabulary learning strategies (VLS) lead to acquiring a more extensive vocabulary size and better performance in language acquisition. Students with different proficiencies might employ various VLS in their language learning process. This study aims to describe and analyze the vocabulary learning strategy used by low-frequency-word level students identified by vocabulary size test they took previously. This study adopted mix-method research by using questionnaires and interviews. The participants were university students of international programs majoring in industrial engineering, civil engineering, and business and economics. The students were identified in low-frequency-word level who were considered able to understand wide reading and specialized study. The findings showed that low-frequency-word level students primarily used dictionary, guessing, and activation strategies. The social strategy was identified as another alternative strategy to learn vocabulary. Google Translate was the most popular translating tool due to its practicality. Guessing meaning strategy was done when failing to find the desired words using an online translation machine. Moreover, the students used social media as the platform to implement the activation strategy. Meanwhile, note-taking, rehearsal, metacognitive strategies belong to the least used VLS as the students are not into intentional vocabulary learning
Improved Ability to Compose Arabic Sentences Using the Hot Potatoes Application

Supervisor (2) Cecep Zakarias El Bilad, M.Pd.This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of the Hot Potatoes application in improving students\u27 ability to compose Arabic sentences. This study uses a quantitative research method of experimental type or a true experimental design using a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample in the study was class VII students at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Istiqamah Muara Teweh. From this study, the following results were found: 1. Students in the control class and Students from the experimental class show an increase in their ability to compose sentences seen from the average value of the pretest and posttest results. So, it can be concluded that the Hot Potatoes application can improve students\u27 ability to compose sentences. 2. The comparison of the posttest mean scores of the experimental class and the control class using the independent sample test, obtained a significance value of 0.020 which is smaller than 0.05, so there is a significant difference in learning outcomes between experimental class students who learn to use the Hot Potatoes application with control class students who do not use the Hot Potatoes application. The Hot Potatoes application was more effective for students in this study
GENDER EQUALITY ON NUSYUZ TREATMENT
Get PDFThe nusyūz (spouse disobedience) treatment between husband and wife in daily marriage life has a significant differences. When it comes from the wife side, the treatment tends to provide a gap of violence through the stages of advice, separation of bed, and finally beatings/physical discipline which often became the reason of domestic violence. As for the husband, the treatment tends to be certain advices and even wife is encouraged to make peace by reducing a number of rights that need to be fulfilled by her husband. This inequality of nusyūztreatment on both sides seems to be biased and very detrimental to women. Perhaps this paper could offer a gender-based concept of nusyūz which could be an alternative in terms of the nusyūz treatment that occurs in both husband and wife. This library research uses the gender approach with descriptive analysis method. Finally, the result shows that (1) the classic nusyūz concept more focuses on the wife\u27s disobedience rather than husband, (2) The understanding of nusyūz were changed with the changing social conditions starting from a) pre-Islamic Arab times, women did not have many rights and nusyūz had not become an intense topic, b) the arrival of Islam, women have a several rights and nusyūz were started to become a topic with a concept that tends to be patriarchal, and in modern ere the concept of nusyūz is still in its old meaning, and even tends to only be attached to wife. (3) the nusyūzsettlement steps based on an-Nisa (4): 34 could also be applied by the wife when her husband performs nusyūz.Keyword: Nusyūz; Gender; Treatmen
