Enhancing Arabic Vocabulary Mastery Through Communicative Strategies: Evidence from Malaysia
Get PDFThis research aims to improve the mastery of Arabic vocabulary at Maktab Mahmud Yan, Kedah, Malaysia. In this study, the researcher employed a descriptive qualitative method. As a sample for this research, the researcher selected level 4, equivalent to the second grade of Madrasah Aliyah. The findings of this research revealed that some students encountered issues in learning Arabic. The problems faced by the students were both linguistic and non-linguistic in nature. Therefore, the researcher implemented a communicative approach strategy to support the improvement of Arabic language learning. After applying this communicative approach strategy, there was a proven increase in student learning outcomes. The communicative approach strategy helped students enhance their ability to speak in Arabic. Students were also able to express themselves, share opinions, and be more active in asking questions in Arabic
Metacognitive Awareness and Self-Efficacy: A Closer Look at the Profiles of Arabic Learners at an Islamic University in Indonesia
Get PDFWhile numerous studies have established the roles of metacognitive awareness and self-efficacy in foreign and second language teaching and learning, research specifically focusing on Arabic language acquisition in this context remains limited. This study aims to examine the metacognitive awareness and self-efficacy of Arabic language learners at Universitas Islam Tribakti Lirboyo Kediri. The participants in this study consisted of 72 Arabic learners. To collect data, two types of instruments were used: the Junior Metacognitive Inventory and the Self-Efficacy Questionnaire for Language Learning Strategies. The collected data were analyzed statistically by calculating the percentages of students based on their levels of metacognitive awareness and self-efficacy. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was employed to assess the normality of the data, while the Levene test was used to check for homogeneity. A t-test was conducted to analyze the significance of the differences in metacognitive awareness and self-efficacy between male and female learners. The results indicated that the metacognitive awareness of the Arabic learners varied across different levels, both in terms of cognitive knowledge (very good, good, fair, poor) and in the regulation of cognition (very good, good, fair). There was a significant difference between male and female learners in the regulation of cognition, while no significant difference was found regarding knowledge of cognition. Additionally, the Arabic learners exhibited varying levels of self-efficacy, including competence, confidence, and comfort; however, the difference between male and female learners in this area was not significant

Get PDFThis study aims to (1) produce learning tools for the PBL-Networked model based on ethnoscience that is appropriate according to learning design experts and material experts and practical according to practitioners and (2) to find out the effectiveness of the ethnoscience-based PBL-Networked model learning tool for understanding concepts and interest in entrepreneurship in class VII junior high school students. This research is a development research that adapts the Dick & Carey. The data collection used validation questionnaires, practicality questionnaires, readability questionnaires, interest questionnaires, student entrepreneurship, and concept understanding tests. Data analysis used quantitative descriptive statistics, N-gain. The results of this development research are: (1) Ethnoscience-based PBL-Networked learning tools are suitable for use based on feasibility assessments by experts considered very good for all aspects assessed (learning materials and design), the practicality of using the tools from the teacher is considered very practical, and students\u27 readability is also considered very good, (2) Ethnoscience-based PBL-Networked model learning tools are practical in significantly increasing students\u27 understanding of concepts and interest in entrepreneurship. That is shown by the N-Gain values of 0.73 and 0.39, categorized into firm and robust effect sizes
Bhag-Rembhag Sabhala’an as a Method of Resolving Religious Conflicts in the Madura Legal Tradition
Get PDFReligion-based conflicts often occur in various regions, including Madura. However, there is an interesting conflict resolution, namely through the bhag-rembhag sabhala\u27an tradition. This research aims to determine the mechanism for resolving religious-based conflicts based on local wisdom through bhag-rembhag sabhala\u27an which is practiced in Madura. This research uses empirical legal research methods with socio-legal and anthropo-legal approaches, which result in the discussion that: First, the resolution of religious conflicts in the context of national law only focuses on efforts to give verdicts of heresy and guilt to parties who, by the religious majority community, are considered contrary to the understanding of the majority of religious believers, not on efforts to open dialogue and find ways of peace between conflicting communities. Second, the resolution of religious conflicts with the bhag-rembhag sabhala\u27an emphasises efforts to open dialogue between conflicting adherents by utilising local village figures to find a peaceful way and find a variety of similarities amid striking differences caused by the outbreak of religious conflict. Bhag-rembhag Sabhala\u27an has long been practised in Madura in the event of differences in understanding and religious conflicts, where humanist and peaceful approaches are preferred over violent ways of resolving conflicts. The real contribution of this research is that the mechanism for resolving religious conflicts based on local wisdom can be the primary choice for parties in resolving religious conflicts. This method prioritises peaceful solutions and respect for religious differences

One of the efforts made by the Banjarbaru City Government is to lend decent housing in the same area on Jalan Trikora. This area is known as the Banjarbaru City complex for the blind. The forms of attention provided include adequate housing, compassion, skills training and fulfillment of other basic rights. The religious aspect is a priority emphasized by the Banjarbaru City Government for the residents of the complex. Ta\u27lim assembly activities, learning the Al Qur\u27an in braille, birthday activities are routinely carried out at this place. The adaptability of the residents has also been carried out well. Ability to adapt to progress over time. Adaptation or social mobility has also been implemented well. The residents in the complex are blind people. The use rights are granted for life to selected blind people in Banjarbaru City.

No full textSertifikasi halal berperan penting dalam mendukung Indonesia agar mampu bersaing di tengah pesatnya perkembangan industri halal. Berdasarkan data dari BPS, sekitar 57 juta Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) telah memperoleh sertifikasi halal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis persepsi produsen home industry bidang pangan terhadap penerapan sertifikasi jaminan produk halal di kabupaten Pemalang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian menggunakan penelitian lapangan dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk memahami persepsi produsen home industry di Kabupaten Pemalang terkait penerapan sertifikasi jaminan produk halal. Peneliti melakukan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi langsung di lokasi penelitian, dengan fokus pada produsen yang telah atau sedang mengajukan sertifikasi halal. Data yang diperoleh mencakup informasi primer dari wawancara serta data sekunder dari literatur terkait. Hasil dari penelitian ini sebagian besar produsen home industry pangan di Kabupaten Pemalang sudah memiliki pemahaman yang baik terkait kewajiban sertifikasi halal. Mereka menyadari pentingnya sertifikasi untuk menjamin kehalalan produk serta memenuhi persyaratan pasar. Namun demikian, beberapa faktor penghambat juga diungkapkan, seperti kurangnya informasi mengenai prosedur sertifikasi, biaya yang diperlukan, serta kendala logistik untuk mengakses fasilitas sertifikasi
Mobile-Assisted Language Learning Apps: The Analysis of Duolingo
No full textThe Duolingo application offers foreign language learning, specifically Arabic, to learners worldwide. Although effective, the material within it must meet international language learning standards. This research aims to assess the suitability of Duolingo\u27s material in accordance with the international standards set by ACTFL. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with primary data consisting of Duolingo\u27s materials and secondary data comprising relevant literature. Both data sets are analyzed using Milles and Hubberman\u27s theory. The results indicate that Duolingo complies with the international standards established by ACTFL, covering proficiency levels from Distinguished, Superior, Advanced, Intermediate, to Novice. Each proficiency level ensures that learners can learn a foreign language gradually and systematically according to their language abilities

The results of this study the researcher saw that the application of the educational methodology had run smoothly and effectively, all educational methodologies in the Qur\u27an and hadith were applied to the students and this had been able to shape the character of the students in accordance with the teachings contained in the Qur\u27an and Hadith
