    Many studies have shown the enhancement of student engagement by integrating local content into digital learning resources. However, little is known about the interactively and culturally relevant materials in incorporating customizable and engaging content for students. The present study aims to develop an e-book focusing on narrative texts that incorporate local content stories for high school students in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia. This research and development study utilized the ADDIE model and TPACK framework. The research involved 35 students in the eleventh grade at the senior high school. It also involved three English teachers and three external validators. Data were garnered through questionnaires, observations and interviews. The quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics analysis, and qualitative data were analyzed using thematic analysis.     Increasing global literacy (GL) competence of university students to support the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) program: Development of GL instructional framework

    A preliminary study has found that Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) grantees faced a variety of challenges during their IISMA program at the destination universities. Therefore, this study aims to develop and implement a global literacy (GL) framework to help IISMA students improve their GL competence to survive during their stay in host universities. Ten IISMA awardees studying at one of the state universities in Malang, Indonesia, participated in this study. A qualitative mixed-method design was applied. The data were collected through FGDs, questionnaires, and in-depth interviews. Using a descriptive qualitative analysis, this study proposes a practical framework to aid IISMA students in improving their global literacy competence. The findings were in the form of an instructional framework that can be maximally applied by those who need to prepare students for the IISMA program. It is envisaged that this study can aid in developing GL competencies, enabling subsequent students to fulfill their responsibilities as change agents from a global viewpoint.     Legal Protection of Architectural Works as Copyright: An Epistemological and Islamic Law Perspective

    The research examined the problem of the legal protection of architectural works as copyright. It described the concept of the legal protection of architectural works based on the point of view of the philosophy of science and Islamic law. This research aimed to solve problems related to the infringement of architectural works as copyright through concepts in the philosophy of science and Islamic law. The research method used a philosophical approach and theoretical approach. The results showed that the legal protection of architectural works as copyrighted works from the epistemological point of view was based on the boundaries of science as obtained through experience. Then, it tested empirically to produce science with an objective, rational nature and methods carried out using science from acceptable and reliable researchers so that the results of architectural works by applying elements of culture, science and technology have the quality of works that are not in doubt of their authenticity. In Islamic law, the legal protection of architectural works leads to moral rights owned by the creator because of the principle of maslahah or public interest, which has the same concept as the Utilitarian theory proposed by Jeremy Bentham. Legal protection of architectural works as copyright refers to an epistemological point of view. Islamic law is based on moral rights as one of the inherent rights owned by the creator as the originality of the work that must be protected.     Internalization of Local Traditions in Child Marriage from the Perspective of Maqasid Al-Usrah

    Child marriage is still widely practiced in many regions of Indonesia, justified by theological reasons that it is entirely permissible. Marrying children at a young age is also seen by many as an achievement, as it is believed to help prevent them from engaging in promiscuous behavior. These issues have prompted research into child marriage from the perspective of maqāṣid al-usrah. The article aimed to describe the internalization of the Sundanese tradition into child marriage law from the maqāṣid al usrah perspective. This article used qualitative field research with sociology, anthropology, and usul-fiqh approaches. Data collection techniques were interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The informants were the head of KUA (Office of Religious Affairs), mudin (imams), religious leaders, and education practitioners. The study showed that the pattern of internalizing the Sundanese tradition into child marriage law is dominant, assisted by religious leaders as a catalyst to allow child marriage laws. There is a product of fiqh in the internalization of child marriage law, entitled the book Kitab an-Nikah. But, according to maqāṣid al-usrah, the child marriage law in Brebes is irrelevant

    Unveiling Illegal Marriages in Aceh: Examining the Role of Unofficial Qadi

    In Acehnese communities, particularly in Bayu Village, illegal marriages conducted by unofficial qadi have been identified. These marriages are often carried out in secrecy, making it difficult to verify whether they meet the pillars and conditions of marriage according to Islamic law. The study aimed to examine the practice of illegal marriages conducted by the community of Bayu Village, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam Province, from the perspective of Islamic family law. The research employed an empirical legal research method using a qualitative descriptive approach. The findings found out several cases of illegal marriages performed by unofficial qadi in Bayu Village. Couples intending to marry are required to fulfill specific conditions set by the qadi, including providing identity cards (KTP) of the prospective spouses, passport-sized photographs of the couple, witnesses, a dowry (mahr), and a guardian (wali) from the bride’s side. The prevalence of illegal marriages is from the community\u27s limited understanding of the importance of marriage registration. From the perspective of Islamic family law, marriages conducted with unofficial qadi in Bayu Village constitute a deviation from religious principles, a violation of government regulations, and have negative implications for the community

    Historical Construction of Local Islamic Culture in Central Kalimantan: Bibliographic Study of Islamic History Writing

    The growth of local Islamic history literature is important as an effort to provide more detailed insights from national Islamic history. This study aims to understand the writing of local Islamic history in Central Kalimantan by conducting a bibliographic investigation through scientific papers related to the history of Islam in Central Kalimantan. The results of this study contribute to showing how far efforts have been made to reconstruct local Islamic history. The object of this research is government institutions and educational institutions in the Central Kalimantan region, especially the West Kotawaringin region and the city of Palangka Raya. The local history works found will be categorized into several divisions. Data then analyzed using social and historical analysis to see the influence of the growth of social history in Central Kalimantan on the growth of local history literature. Through social and historical analysis, scientific works in the form of papers, research reports, theses, and books in the last few years after the development of the Central Kalimantan province through the establishment of educational and cultural institutions showed a significant increase in the number of scientific works. Based on bibliographic searches, it is known that the growth in the number of local Islamic history papers is directly proportional to the social development of the people of Central Kalimantan province.     The Spread of Salafi Ideology in Digital Media: Exploring Al-Qur’an Interpretation in rumaysho.com

    This article aims to analyze the pattern of interpretation of the Qur\u27an and the ideology behind the interpretation on rumaysho.com. This article is library research with primary data sources from rumaysho.com posts on shirk, takfiri, and leadership. Secondary data sources come from tafsir books and articles relevant to the study\u27s focus. The data obtained were analyzed using three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusions. Analysis of the data obtained shows that the pattern of interpretation of shirk, takfiri, and leadership in rumaysho.com uses the bil ma\u27tsur form with thematic methods and adabi al\u27ijtima\u27i style. Overall, Tuasikal\u27s writings on rumaysho.com reflect an attempt to promote an understanding of Islam based on strict textual interpretation. The discourse used by Tuasikal is based on the puritanical Salafi ideology with its aim of purifying Islamic teachings and directing Muslims\u27 understanding of practices that it considers authoritative. The dissemination of Salafi in rumaysho.com is also done by presenting and selecting references from Salafi ulama. The findings can contribute to developing digital interpretation by highlighting the dynamics of religious authority and perspectives on the use of digital media in conveying Islamic discourse

    The significance of women in public life rises as Indonesia embarks on reforming its political institutions and processes due to democratization. This study examines women\u27s public life in Banyumas Regency, Central Java, in the context of cultural and Islamic values. Both Islamic and Penginyongan cultural values endorse traditional gender roles, potentially limiting women\u27s public participation. However, these values also foster social harmony, community involvement, and religious ethics, which may support women\u27s political engagement. The research data includes the number of women in public roles, their effectiveness in advocating for women\u27s interests, and the interpretation of Islamic and Penginyongan cultural values. Data collection methods encompass interviews, observations, and document analysis. This study concludes by utilizing a sociological approach based on David Easton\u27s systems theory that Islamic and Penginyongan cultural values influence women\u27s public life, and political representation in Banyumas is multifaceted and shaped by various interacting factors. Understanding these dynamics is essential for crafting strategies to advance gender equality and women\u27s public life empowerment in the region

    This paper discusses Muslim women\u27s clothing, namely the issue of hijab. The term hijab in the Qur\u27an is also related to the terms khimar and jilbab. There are pros and cons related to the obligation to wear the hijab, as happened in Iran and Aceh. Because of the compulsion to wear the hijab, Iranian women are struggling to regain control over their own bodies, because this concerns women\u27s right to choose how to dress.
