    Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian sajarah yang mengungkap pemikiran Hadji Agus Salim dalam perspektif Masuknya Islam di Indonesia. Hal ini menarik untuk dibahas karena dilihat dari backgroundnya sebagai pelopor kemerdekaan Indonesia tetapi juga menulis sejarah masuknya Islam di Indonesia, pada penulisannya sejrah masuknya islam y dari Hadji Agus Salim mengkritik pemikiran orientalis barat dalam masuknya Islam di Indonesia. Maka dengan itu peneliti fakus membahas masuknya islam di Indonesia dan bagaiman pandangan perspektif sejarawan kontenporer terkait sejarah masuknya islam. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif menggunakan metode sejarah berbasis psustaka. Adapau hasil  penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa pemikiran hadji Agus Salim mengkritik penulis orentalis yang mengungkapkan bahwa tersebarnya Islam di Indonesia melalaui  pada perspektif  penulis orientalis barat tentang masuknya islam di Indonesia melalui kekerasan, itulah kritik yang di lontarkan pada orientalis barat.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian sajarah yang mengungkap pemikiran Hadji Agus Salim dalam perspektif Masuknya Islam di Indonesia. Adapau hasil  penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa pemikiran hadji Agus Salim mengkritik penulis orentalis yang mengungkapkan bahwa tersebarnya Islam di Indonesia melalaui  pada perspektif  penulis orientalis barat tentang masuknya Islam di Indonesia melalui kekerasan, itulah kritik yang di lontarkan pada orientalis barat

    Students’ digital literacy on chemistry–STEAM project-based learning: a gender perspective

    This study aims to analyze students\u27 digital literacy in STEAM project-based chemistry learning based on a gender perspective. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through a questionnaire instrument on 30 students of class XI science who were selected by purposive sampling. The research instrument consisted of 6 indicators, which were developed into 18 questionnaire items, which were arranged using a Likert scale. Research data were analyzed quantitatively descriptively by calculating scores and percentages. The results of the analysis of students\u27 digital literacy data as a whole showed an average of 81.75% in the excellent category. The study based on gender showed an average gain of 81% for female students and 82.6% for male students, both of which did not have a significant difference, and both were in the excellent category. These results indicate that the STEAM project approach can be an alternative learning that can maximize students\u27 digital literacy

    Immersion Program in Arabic Language Learning: An Analysis of Teachers and Students

    Learning Arabic through immersion programs has a significant impact on improving language skills. This study explores the differences in the implementation of immersion programs between domestic and foreign institutions with a focus on teacher performance and student achievement. The lack of comparative studies in this area motivates more in-depth analyses to understand the variation in effectiveness. The literature study approach compares teaching practices and learning outcomes in both contexts. The study results revealed that the immersion program improved students\u27 Arabic language skills by up to 54.0%. However, there was a variation in success between domestic and international institutions. This difference is mainly due to different teaching approaches and the use of learning media. Teachers abroad use student-centred communicative methods, while traditional methods dominate domestically. In addition, the use of educational technology is more optimal abroad, which has an impact on student learning outcomes. This study\u27s implications emphasise adapting immersion programs tailored to local characteristics. The exchange of best practices between domestic and foreign institutions and the continuous training of teachers is essential to improve the effectiveness of Arabic language learning globally

    Improving Arabic Writing Skills Through The Effectiveness of Imla\u27 Manzhur Learning

    Arabic writing skills are crucial for Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) students however, many still face challenges in mastering them, including those at MTs Al Hikmah Bandar Lampung. A key factor contributing to these difficulties is the students\u27 limited foundational knowledge of the Arabic language. The Imla\u27 Manzhur learning method is regarded as an important subject of research due to its potential to enhance students\u27 writing abilities through visual memory reinforcement and direct writing practice. This research examines the impact of the Imla\u27 Manzhur approach on enhancing seventh grade students\u27 ability to write in Arabic at MTs Al Hikmah Bandar Lampung. A quantitative research approach was employed, utilizing a simple experimental design. The findings indicate that the implementation of the Imla\u27 Manzhur method significantly improved students\u27 writing proficiency, as evidenced by the post-test average score of the experimental group reaching 80.00, compared to 59.64 in the control group. Statistical analysis using a t-test revealed a significant result (p < 0.05), confirming the method\u27s effectiveness in Arabic language instruction. These findings suggest that the Imla\u27 Manzhur method can serve as a valuable recommendation for Arabic language teaching in madrasah

    Investigating professional identity construction of EFL teachers in informal language institutions through the lens of critical incidents

    The professional identity of English as a foreign language (EFL) teachers in formal education has been widely studied, but research in informal education remains limited. This study explores the context of critical incidents (CIs) identified by informal language institutions (ILIs) EFL teachers and how EFL teachers in ILIs negotiate and construct their professional identities using the critical incident technique (CIT). Ten EFL teachers from an informal English course in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, participated through questionnaires and in-depth interviews. Data analysis identified key themes in CIs affecting teachers\u27 professional identity. Results show that within informal language institution, CIs for teachers occurred in the context of the teacher\u27s professional development, students, and direct work environment. The positive CIs, such as student progression and collaborative support, significantly boosted teachers\u27 confidence and teaching effectiveness, whereas negative CIs, such as absenteeism and perceived inequities, posed challenges to their professional growth. Despite its limitations, including small sample size and reliance on self-reported data, the study provides valuable insights into the unique challenges and opportunities of teaching in informal educational settings, offering directions for future research and practical implications for teacher development programs

    Assessing the effectiveness of interactive grammar-based teaching in enhancing EFL learners’ concord comprehension and learning confidence

    Despite various grammar teaching strategies implemented since elementary school, many university students struggle with English concord, resulting in low English proficiency. This study aimed to examine the impact of interactive grammar-based teaching (IGBT) on students’ understanding of English concord and to investigate the correlation between concord comprehension and self-confidence. Using a one-group pretest-posttest design, 20 students participated in a seven-week English concord course, attending weekly 120-minute sessions. Grammar tests and a self-confidence questionnaire were administered to assess students\u27 comprehension and perception of concord. Data analysis included descriptive statistics, paired t-tests, and correlation analysis to evaluate grammar proficiency and confidence levels. The results revealed a significant decrease in concord errors, from 46.5% to 33.25%, indicating an improvement in comprehension from 53.5% to 66.75%. The intervention had a significant impact on students\u27 understanding of concord (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05) and a positive impact on their self-confidence (Sig. 0.000 < 0.05). Key errors identified included overgeneralization, misuse of morphological markers, and insufficient contextual understanding. This study concludes that IGBT enhances EFL students’ grammatical accuracy and self-confidence, highlighting the necessity for interactive grammar teaching strategies. Future research should examine IGBT’s impact on a larger, more diverse student population

    Translanguaging practices and teacher perspectives in a CLIL program: A case study at a national plus school in Indonesia

    The increasing adoption of content and language integrated learning (CLIL) in educational settings has caught teachers’ interest in using translanguaging as a tool to promote effective teaching and learning. Many studies have discussed translanguaging in CLIL, but limited studies have focused on young learners. This case study aims to explore translanguaging practices and perspectives in the CLIL context. Three teachers at one of the national plus schools in Malang, Indonesia, participated in this study. The data were obtained from classroom observations and interviews and analyzed using a thematic pattern. The results showed that teachers’ teaching practices, if seen from a translanguaging lens, while they were explaining the material, asking questions, giving tasks, and giving feedback to young learners. The reasons why the teachers applied translanguaging were to explain the materials and give advice to students, and to address students’ multilingual backgrounds. The advantages of performing translanguaging were to understand the instruction, explain the difficult materials, bond with students, and improve students’ vocabulary. This study suggests that integrating translanguaging strategies in CLIL might support more inclusive and effective teaching for young multilingual learners

    Huma Betang\u27s Philosophy: Interreligious Harmony and Weaving of National Identity in Palangka Raya

    The diversity of ethnicities, religions, and cultures in Palangka Raya creates complex social dynamics, which have the potential to pose challenges to social integration and community cohesion. The study aimed to analyze how the huma betang philosophy is implemented in interactions between communities across religions and cultures, and its contribution to weaving national identity in a multicultural context. The study used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method, through observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and literature studies. The study showed that the huma betang philosophy, along with the motto Bumi Tambun Bungai, Bumi Pancasila, is the basis of values ​​in building inclusive social relations between the Dayak community and immigrant groups. The values ​​of huma betang are not only carried out in the internal Dayak community but are also experienced as an ethic of living together that emphasizes solidarity, tolerance, and humanity across identities. The particular study contributes to a theoretical understanding of the role of local values ​​in strengthening social cohesion and national identity in a pluralistic society

    Islamic education management must always be responsive to innovations that align with the developments of the times so that it can continue to provide greater benefits. The Islamic education system is based on the Qur\u27an and Hadith as the primary sources, which not only impart knowledge but also guide humanity toward a better life, both in this world and in the hereafter. Therefore, every educational institution needs to implement the principles of Islamic education management in its operations. The fundamental principles of Islamic education that must be considered to achieve the desired goals include the implications and characteristics of the community, integration, balance, universality, and dynamism. This study was conducted to explore in depth how the principles of Islamic education management can shape a noble character, with a special focus on Surah Al-Ahzab 33:70, through both textual and contextual analysis. This issue is addressed through library research, using primary data sources from the Qur\u27an, particularly Surah Al-Ahzab 33:70. Secondary data were taken from tafsir (interpretation) books, while other supporting sources were books and writings relevant to the research topic. The research findings show that the principles of Islamic education management discussed in this study have a significant impact on the formation of noble character, which includes aspects of human behavior and character towards God, oneself, others, and the environment. From the perspective of Surah Al-Ahzab 33:70, these principles play an important role in a person\u27s life.     This study examines the factors influencing judges\u27 tendencies in Religious Courts to grant custody to Muslim parents, as identified in a selection of judicial decisions. Using a library research method, this analysis examines three purposively selected decisions based on their relevance to the research focus: Decision No. 0006/Pdt.G/2013/PA.Gia; Decision No. 0117/Pdt.G/2016/PA.Prgi; and Decision No. 183/Pdt.G/2019/PA.Prgi. The analysis reveals that this tendency is shaped by both the doctrine of faith protection (hifz al-dīn) and the argumentative strategies employed by Muslim parents, who utilize religious norms to influence judicial reasoning. The findings indicate that the doctrine of faith protection functions not only as a normative legal foundation but also as a strategic element within courtroom proceedings. In determining child custody, judges employ a two-step reasoning process that integrates normative and factual variables, thereby positioning religious considerations alongside other factors, such as psychological well-being, emotional stability, and continuity of care. Consequently, although there may be an initial inclination toward the Muslim parent, the resulting decisions remain consistent with the principle of the child\u27s best interests, safeguarding both the child\u27s spiritual dimension and overall development.Abstrak : Penetapan hak asuh anak dalam perkara perceraian yang terjadi akibat perpindahan agama salah satu orang tua mencerminkan kompleksitas dalam penerapan dan penyelesaian hukum keluarga secara ideal. Penelitian ini mengkaji secara mendalam faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kecenderungan hakim pengadilan agama untuk memberikan hak asuh kepada orang tua yang beragama Islam, sebagaimana teridentifikasi dalam sejumlah putusan pengadilan yang dipilih. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian studi pustaka, penelitian ini menelaah tiga putusan pengadilan agama yang dipilih secara purposif berdasarkan relevansinya terhadap focus kajian, yaitu Putusan Nomor 0006/Pdt.G/2013/PA.Gia; Putusan Nomor 0117/Pdt.G/2016/PA.Prgi; Putusan Nomor 183/Pdt.G/2019/PA.Prgi. Analisis terhadap elemen-elemen substansial dari putusan, meliputi isi gugatan, tanggapan antar pihak serta pertimbangan hukum hakim menunjukkan bahwa penetapan hak asuh tersebut umumnya didasarkan pada doktrin perlindungan akidah. Doktrin ini berlandaskan pada dua variabel utama, yaitu normatif dan faktual, yang tidak hanya menjadi faktor pemicu munculnya kecenderungan tersebut, tetapi juga berfungsi sebagai instrumen untuk menilai kelayakan pihak pengasuh. Selain itu, dinamika persidangan, khususnya strategi argumentatif yang digunakan para pihak, kerap memanfaatkan dalil-dalil keagamaan untuk memengaruhi diskresi hakim dan memperoleh hak asuh
